    MFW K and 1st really need to go together to complete the learning to read process. I’ve used it with my first three and am starting with my last this year. The first three have turned out to be such strong readers, and I love how first grade is a Bible survey that teaches reading and sentence construction using the Bible. The Bible notebooks they create are so sweet and really get those basic Bible stories solidified. My kids Bible class teachers were always impressed that they already knew all the lessons being taught in class. I have also paired MFW with GATB math for my youngest. Unfortunately, it didn’t exist when my older kids were in those grade levels.

      I agree with you! Our oldest is so excited about her Bible Reader and we are looking forward to really focusing on reading using the Bible! We are finishing up with the first 2 review weeks now!!

    Hi!!! New sub. I’m glad I stumbled across your channel! I’m a mom to 6. And newly homeschooling my four littles (ages 9,6,6,4). My two older boys do online school. Your homeschool room is so inspiring, I absolutely love it! Currently going back and forth between TGTB and AAR 1.

      Thank you so much! We love it! We are actually in the process of selling our house and maybe doing an RV for a year and building a barndo. So our room will change but for now we love our little space.
      We have loved TGATB math, our oldest really loves it and loves sharing off her math to everyone! AAR has been really good and I feel that this level 1 will help her go even deeper and will just be an added bonus with the reading in our main curriculum.

    Thanks you've given me a few ideas to do with my littles. I have 8 children and the last 6 are all one year apart so homeschool has been a huge deal in our house bc of so many children. But I will be implementing more group units very soon. Thankfully 3 of my children are not school aged yet. 8 month old, 23 month old, 3 yr old, 4 yr old, 5 yr old, 7 yr old, 10 yr old and 13 yr old. But of course the 3 year old wants to do school like her siblings so I have to include her too.

      Wow 8 children! You are truly super woman! I love it. My 4 year old loves doing math with us and this year we are trying the more split time since really they aren’t school aged yet, but they want to be involved. We still do a circle time with everyone where we talk our calendar, weather, sing songs, say our affirmations, pray together and read. We just started Monday so I’m hoping to get into more of a groove!

      @@EverythingHomeschooled ok yes the littles are involved in circle time but they are antsy and disruptive so I give them some abc fish or blocks to play with during that time for Bible study and stuff. But I should add in songs so they can be more involved they love to dance and sing. Thanx!

      I have started doing a journal too for my 4 and 2 (almost 3) year old, that keeps them busy. I try to break it up with songs here and there. We love incorporating Jack Hartmann into our circle time with his songs and sometimes we will add in Bethel Kids.

      @@EverythingHomeschooled Awesome thanx! We usually listen to kids worship during breakfast and chore time before school. It won't hurt to add a lil more during circle time to sing together. In their journal do they draw or work on handwriting?

    • @EverythingHomeschooled
      @EverythingHomeschooled  Год назад +1

      They usually just draw what they hear me read. That way they are still actively listening but they are able to be creative at the same time.
