Bad ass! Great camera & drone footage. Great editing too. Loved the commentary. Very natural & easy to follow. You’re going to do great things with this channel man!
How do you start getting a job in Alaska without any Alaska flying time. I trained in Bend Oregon so I have mountain training and lots of icing conditions.
Hey Zac,. The best way to get a job in Alaska is to move there, be around the operator and be available for when they do need you. Obviously take that with a grain of salt, but if you want to work in Alaska, you should live in Alaska. I always wanted to fly in the mountains, and I had some tough years along the way to where I am now, but I did whatever it took to work for a company that operated in the mountains.
Hey Doug, no it's not a big deal to swap between the helicopters. Obviously the torque direction is opposite between the Bell and AStar, but at the end of the day, we're keeping the nose straight with our feet, and that correction becomes natural instinct. The most challenging thing can be start procedures between machines i.e: maximum start temperatures, fuel introduction times, etc...
@@EricPJohnstone Thanks for the response, I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos so I've subscribed. One observation; the level of the music is high compared to any speech content, if you could hold the music down a little it would save me having to ratchet the volume up and down while viewing. 🤓

Attitude Indicator was a bit muffed ;-)
I really enjoy this kind of video, do you think you'll be making regular content?
Hey Steven, yes there will be regular content!
I'm not pilot. I was watching the TOT gauge in the 206, i'm surprised it didn't show lower temp when flying, because the very cold air.
It does change depending on the outside air temperature, but we definitely see a great impact with higher temps than lower
Is there any difficulty swapping between aircraft who's rotors tuen in different directions; Bell vs. A-Star?

Dude... get synth vision, G500 is nothing, it will absolutely save your life in that environment.
HTAWS and synthetic vision…
If I'm down to synthetic vision around here, I've done something really really wrong!
I do like the hazard advisor on Foreflight though
@@EricPJohnstone I plan never to never use it and HTAWS can be annoying if you don’t put RP mode on but I like having it.
