During the Sandy Hook trial, they played recent clips of him mocking the judge in front of said judge. It convinced jurors that he had little sense of empathy or responsibility.
Sickening to see Alex Jones crying "they hate our children" after making a fortune off of people who actually lost their children to senseless violence
Yeah I was thinking they hate you not your children. It’s not their fault you tried to benefit on their suffering and endangered them by saying it was a conspiracy and encouraging others to rise against them.
Its as if they conspire to find the most ironic and/or projective line of B.S. every time. It's not even a meme, just a fact. They're 100% guilty of whatever theyre accusing. Thats how they're so confident.
Aside from the main reasons “they hate our children” is ironic, never forget he forgot the ages of his own kids and then blamed it on a big ol’ bowl of chili at his own divorce hearings
I mean my parents have gotten my brother and my names mixed up since we were very young, and to this day when I visit he'll sometimes call me by my brother's name. He corrects himself immediately but still. Slips like that seem understandable to me. Alex Jones is still an unrepentant monster who deserves far worse than he's getting though, that I will not argue against.
This is the silliest stuff... A lot of people forget their own age... It is not uncommon to accidentally forget your own kids ages (years can blend together)... This is one of the "Oh, bad guy is bad, so now I'll make everything he did bad!" If you are arguing he is bad or it is "ironic" then you should also argue that it is bad or "ironic" that almost everyone does it. Big difference is most people don't do it publicly...
@@SioxerNikitayou're right that slip ups happen Now where they SHOULDN'T happen is in a courtroom where a judge is deciding if you'll ever see your kids again A caring parent usually makes sure to remember details for that. And even if a slip up does happen, you should apologize and correct yourself instead of making a dumb excuse everyone can see straight through
@@mrroboshadow Yes, they shouldn't. Also, you SHOULD apologize and correct yourself, but making a dumb excuse is what a lot ordinary people do. Point being, the whole berate the guy for what is really bad, instead of berating him for something that'll make ordinary parents feel like shit parents.
I suppose what's crazy to me is that there's just no punishment for this stuff? Like Jones can just blatantly defy a court, siphon money in the open, still keep doing the thing he was being sued for, and just nothing happens! The judge just goes "here's a piece of paper saying he owes you 8 squintillion. He's hidden a lot of assets though, so see if you can get $20 off him before the appeals court reduces it to $10. I'm also going to ignore that he's driven a different sports car to each hearing." Insane, absolutely insane
Because he didn't commit any criminal acts, this is purely civil court. They can't arrest him for refusing to pay a civil fee, they can only fine him more. He's going to have to do some REALLY shady shit in this case to ever see jailtime. They can't imprison him simply for WORDS he said, hence why they had to hire multi-million dollar lawyers and take him to civil court.
@@SunbearSmoke you're not wrong at all. I just feel that a court process should be respected, even if it's a civil court you know? Like a law that stops you being deliberately obtuse in court, so that if you deliberately behave badly in a civil trial then the judge has criminal options...
@@SunbearSmoke no wonder rich people get away with all their crimes, what they're doing is barely even illegal. As long as you hire the hitman, and go through enough layers, all you did was words so you'll just pay some small amount of money and be ok. Crazy world we live in
@karolusmagnus3992 Wrong example there. Hiring a hitman is actually a federal offense with a minimum prison sentence of 10 years. If the target person is hurt but still alive, it's 20 years. If the targeted person dies, then the sentence is life in prison or the death penalty along with a fine that can go up to $250,000.
"These people hate our children." said the man that knowingly and deliberately spread harmful lies about children who were victims of a horrible event.
So what? he didnt kill the kids why are you all pretending that what he did is on the same level? No even worse cause no one would ever sue anyone billions over actual murder.
I hope you won't be offended if I offer a gentle correction, but although Alex Jones is physically mature, he is neither intellectually nor emotionally. Thus, it would be more accurate to call him a "man-child" than a "man".
Don't forget he spread those wanton lies in attempt to perpetuate the issue that was killing kids, it lead to an atmosphere of literal daily mass shootings that he has no shame over. Those aren't even the shootings he directly sent his audience to do at specific hospitals that he should rot in prison for
looks like the whole country was set up as a tax dodge for rich people.. they didnt do the fighting for it so much though... spanish powder and french guns and soldiers
The worst part is that these Families lost something money can never replace. All Jones did was just make them hurt more and it's only right he finally see consequences, it's a shame he doesn't suffer worst for it.

@@RipliWitaniit has plenty of authority but prison time isn't typically one of them. What they can do is seize anything and everything he owns to pay off the debts.
@@mwperk02 Eh, that was going to happen anyways. The issue in this case is the judgement is more than the value of all his money and assets combined, and the penalties for his misconduct in civil court are generally monetary, making them functionally meaningless. To a man who already got the worst monetary judgement in history (and who believes he can hide funds and assets in his parents' companies), it likely means nothing to him that he may face some fines. That said civil violations can theoretically become criminal if he makes some particularly egregious moves so we'll see.
No shit! We can easily forgive leaders like George Bush, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton, and others of being literally responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, Afghanis, and Libyans. Pretty human to want to protect your own. That's why we have an external justice system and we don't just rely on people's family and friends keeping them in check to maintain law and order. We expect people to not be able to remain objective when it comes to self-interest and the interests of their loved ones. It is why so many areas of life have laws and regulations to address conflict of interest issues.
Usually I can tolerate this level of judicial tedium, because the law is incredibly complex, but something about the way this is unfolding is making me sick. Shut the show down, sell his shit, and throw him in prison. Enough is enough.
Seems like money laundering, perjury, and contempt of court could be criminal charges levied against Jones if our court system had any real teeth against rich and powerful scumbags like him.
It takes time. There isn't even anything criminal proven yet, there will be investigations into misconduct likely but it could be years, potentially upwards of a decade or more before anything clear cut happens
It's very hard with very many hoops to jump through to hit people with financial crimes, otherwise it would happen way more. A system by the rich for the rich. The only taboo is getting caught, which this dum-dum may just have done.
The depravity of first defaming, then encouraging the harassment of the people whose own children were murdered in an act of horrific violence simply staggers the imagination.
Robbie Parker's six year old daughter, Emilie, was murdered at Sandy Hook, and then we saw him laughing, smiling, and fake-crying during a CNN presser only a handful of hours afterwards.
and when consequences actually start to hit him, he tries to cry and say, "they hate my kids!!" trying weaponize his emotions and the fact that he has kids for sympathy or some shit? does he have any dignity? did he ever _have any?_
I used to think that. Then my dad took me aside and said (and I’m paraphrasing a very long conversation here so bear with me) “ I’m a Republican. it’s just that over the last 20 years religious fanatics co-opted my party. To me being a Republican means being fiscally responsible and not paying for all these government programs because we’re in massive debt to China. That’s it. I'm not a lawyer, and only took a few J-school classes as electives, but something that's worth remembering when you talk about his case: It is very difficult to prove defamation in US courts even when compared to other Common Law countries like the UK, and if Jones had actually complied with the process, there's a non-zero chance he walked out of that courtroom with either symbolic damages or no liability at all. This is what happens when you thumb your nose at the system.
You are that it was hard in the US. I remember Johny Depp has to switch tactic in his defense because proving that Amber Heard defame Johny was an uphill battle. Instead the legal team went for unorthodox way of establishing that Amber Heard was not trustworthy by focusing about her lies that could be proven in courts. Basically the strategy was by showing the person was a liar and hid the truth, she must have act in reckless disregard of the truth and with actual malice toward Depp.
But, if he complied with the process, it would have shown documentary evidence on how well he knew what he was doing was naked lying and defrauding to capture trigger-happy-morons.

Aside from the main reasons “they hate our children” is ironic, never forget he forgot the ages of his own kids and then blamed it on a big ol’ bowl of chili at his own divorce hearings
I'm not really UNCONVINCED that Alex Jones DIDN'T eat so much chili it causes temporary parental amnesia.
This is one of the "Oh, bad guy is bad, so now I'll make everything he did bad!"

I'm also going to ignore that he's driven a different sports car to each hearing."

Seems like every time Jones complains about the rulings, one could argue that it's another instance of defamation...
Defamation covers statements that are harmful, or cause harm, such as damage to reputation causing loss of business, inciting violence, or severe emotional distress. What the court is trying to punish Jones for is definitely defamation- but his moaning and complaining about the ruling itself isn’t, so far as I know, unless he has continued to lash out at the victims of Sandy Hook.

We NEED to revamp out entire bankruptcy system. It is basically just a get-out-of-jail free card for wealthy individuals and companies to commit crimes and get to keep their fortunes. I also think we need to get rid of the LLC...but that's another matter...
I think expanding what is available for victims/claimants in a bankruptcy case would help a lot. Allowing the courts to expand the scope of the bankruptcy if there is evidence of fraud or hiding of assets. Eliminating the llc corporation is not a great idea as it itself has allowed for bigger ventures than what people were able to do before them.
Not necessarily get rid of LLC protections, but definitely lower the standards under which that limit can be breached.
@@benjamintomassennordahl7911Do we need bigger ventures at this point?
