♥ I can vouch for all these points and another lesson I learned is what The Minimalists always say: things don't matter, people do. I would add that pets matter too! After several rounds of decluttering, I'm no longer attached to things. Even if I lost all my photos, I'd be okay with it. That doesn't mean I'm going to throw them away but my 'relationship' with them and other items like clothing is much healthier now.
❤ I started my declutter journey years ago, ever since when I go shopping, I get the feeling that most of the products in the selves are future trash. That's a bit sad, but it keeps me from buying them. ❤
❤I am just learning about Minimalism now thru you & your videos. I have too many things, from family & through the years. I am excited about having a more peaceful life.
I’m just starting out too and it already feels life changing. I’ve wanted to start for a couple of years, but my mindset just wasn’t fully there. I can’t explain it, but something has shifted in the past couple of months. My anxiety was through the roof and I literally felt like I was drowning. I knew that it’s finally time for me to commit to this lifestyle for my own mental health and quite frankly, my family’s mental health too. I can’t be a good wife or mom to my children when I’m constantly stressed and anxious. I was seeing how my mood was bringing down everyone else too. I’m beyond grateful for finding Becky’s channel. Good luck on your journey❤
I’m a couple of minutes into your video and it already resonates with me so much. For a few years I got sucked into lifestyle RUclipsr channels who were constantly doing store and Amazon hauls. Before I knew it, I had all of this crap that I thought I needed and ended up getting rid of it. Such a waste of money. I no longer watch any of those channels and other than my RUclips account I don’t have any social media. It’s done wonders for making me feel like I don’t need the latest trends and that I don’t need to keep up with the Joneses. I have also stopped looking at any weekly store ads. Like you mentioned in a different video, if I’m not willing to buy the item full price then I don’t need it. Now I just make my shopping list and if it happens to be on sale when I get to the store then that’s a win❤
Love it!! Thanks for sharing this! So true! I had to stop watching other influencers because many of them just want to sell anything and don’t really care for the item
Hry Becky I can really relate to the willpower point you made. I've been working on becoming more minimalist for a few years now & just a couple of days ago I was looking for a new crossbody bag in a charity shop. I came across one which was a good deal but not a colour that I liked or exactly what I was looking for. In the past I would've brought it as good enough but I knew that I would regret it & put it back, because of minimalism I'm now willing to wait until I find the bag/item that I'm completely happy with 😊
❤ I was just going to "comment" with the heart, but I had to add how much I relate to your will-power story about not getting the perfect item. I have really been enjoying this aspect of not settling for "it'll do" purchases. It's such a good feeling 😊
If I were you I would go to a shoe store that is specific to running/walking/exercise. They will look at your feet and gait to suggest the best most comfortable shoe. It will be more expensive and maybe not as cute shoe but your body will feel so good. You will likely have those shoes for years because they serve a purpose. At the end of they will be cheaper if you calculate cost per wear.

@@minimalease I feel like a lot of the times they promote the product and give the links and then they return it lol

Amazing!! It’s so crazy how I have so much willpower to say no now and I never had it before ❤️👏👏thanks for sharing!
Woohoo to willpower!
My word this year is discipline and I’ve found that eating better and curbing cravings tempers my impulse spending.
Thanks for watching friend! And I totally agree!!
Loved this video and I've been a minimalist for 2 months now and still going strong! I love minimalism and owning less 🙂👍
That’s great!! 😃
