i have goosebumps all over at the sound of those engines still....it sends me right back to my first flight in a jet liner the Boeing 707...it shaped my whole world of my love of commercial aircraft travel....you never forget your first especially when it was a euphoric experience...I can never forget the king of commercial aircraft...the king of the skies.
That's true I also will never forget these memories of me trying to catch planes with my camera when I was a Teenager. The 707 is just a classic and will have a place in my hearth for ever :)
Now anyone please tell me...listen to the ringout of those quad engines at thrust....is there any other jetliner that sings a euphoric song like that...truly the king of the skies...only the ace (concord) and the Queen (747) have their places in the top trio... everyone else are worthy only to bow out...don't talk about these modern flying busses they have now...they are first grade commoners.
It really was a magic carpet ride, complete with gourmet food and beautiful flight attendants. I felt very special and I was humbled by the experience. It felt like the next level , above our daily experience. A world all mankind should aspire to… one of kindness, generosity and grace
Yes, the older low-bypass turbofans are more responsive than the modern high-bypass ones. Because the modern ones have fans that are so so so much bigger, they dont accelerate as fast.
I lived on Tinker AFB from 1988-2002....this, along with the fighter jets, is the sound of freedom. Touch and go;s, and when Stratotankers and bombers coming in, each time these jets would bank right or left over Lake Thunderbird (south), car alarms would be set off all day long on base. Love it, and miss it.
Hats off to German pilots and the NATO brotherhood. I spent hundreds of hours watching German airline pilots train west of Phoenix during my college years. They are complete professionals.
Used to play poker with a retired airline pilot who flew the 707, and later the A300 , A310 and 737-400... he always said the Boeing's were way more fun to fly manually!
This is beautiful, particularly the engine sounds. Look at how low to the ground the cockpit is as it rolls before rotation, as compared to a 747 which has a cockpit that is much higher elevation above the gound. Thanks for uploading. Fantastic job NATO!
Excellent video, thanks for posting. Nothing will ever replace classics like the B707 and the B727. They were/are true workhorses. I noticed that the crew in this clip were multi-national? German captain, British co-pilot, and not sure about the rest.
Wie kommt man zu so einem Flug? 🤩 das Flugzeug ist einfach klasse… ich hab die BW mal angeschrieben haben aber abgesagt 🙁 wollte schon immer mal mit einer 707 fliegen
I was wondering the same thing. Captain in the left hand seat continues to have his hands on the controls despite FO seemingly controlling the aircraft.
4 guys in the pit.. makes one feel really safe and comfortable!! Can't deny that
they won't crash with this crew! must be one of the safest flight crews! ;)

i love the buzz the 707 makes at full throttle

Boeing 707 .... The Cadillac of the skies back in the day ..... sleek and beautiful in design
Brings back many memories. I have over 5000 hours logged in E-3.
I love how the engine are so responsive the second the pilots apply power the engine gives power

707's got the best take off noise ever!!! Miss it a lot!!!
I just love the style of an good old 707 it reminds me of a diffrent time
The landing is also the most euphoric...that reverse thrust is epic.
Its nice to see a Multinational crew, German PF and a UK RAF Pilot Monitoring
Awesome lads. Thanks for not wasting this video with shitty music!

My absolute favourite aircraft ever. Thanks for this.
4:20 That's how jet fuel is burned with passion. :")
My fav military plane... That noises are... Magic

Jet noise, good for the soul
Those TF33's sound heavenly
Now this is how planes should sound!
I have a total of ONE flight on a 707. It was supposed to be a DC-10, and TWA changed aircraft at the last minute. Sure glad they did!
Used to play poker with a retired airline pilot who flew the 707, and later the A300 , A310 and 737-400... he always said the Boeing's were way more fun to fly manually!
Heavenly sound !!
Thanks for this great video l love these 707 planes what a great sound kym from australia
Spent 4 yrs.(82-85) with these birds at tinker, they were/are the best of the best.
Nice, what was so good about them compared to other versions

Beautiful, beautiful spool up!!
I like the 707 cockpit.
That's how a four engine plane should sounds. What a pity for ecologists.
Completely agreed!
RomelioSanz Four part harmony. Beautiful!
Great video! And the PF/AC is very cool and professional: No hurry and better doublecheck then nothing can go wrong! Like that :-) Thx for sharing.
Thanks a lot!
I miss that sound of those P&W JT3Ds!
7O7 is safe and powerfull
I LOVE 7O7
Cómo te quiero , querido 707

Thanks a lot! German Commander, Danish Co-Pilot and I don't recall the rest. A typical multi-national NATO crew, very interesting to experience!
...the "rest" was a Dutch FE and a German NAC
Sorry a German NAV
Sigh..... miss hearing them daily
Served in the Army with Pershing there before this Big Fly Took over the Base 1980-1982 . Used to dodge them on the Runway .
reasonable, the great sound is their for a reason :)
I would like more info on the engines, P&W JT3D ( TF33.)? Or GE CF 34s?
Well done Captains
Thank you it was a lot of work as well
Fantastic video - very entertaining!

Damn those 56's sound happy.....

Oh das tut mir leid, so eine flug zu organisieren geht wohl leider nur, wenn man in der Branche tätig ist.
i love 7O7
Love it.
any one noticed the landing gear, After positive climb the landing gear was put up and then it was put to the Half Position. Why is this?
Rohit Aswath That's weird in dęte and Airbus doesn't have that at all. If I remember right this is to "lock" the gear.
Rohit Aswath Center position locks the gears.
Rohit Aswath it depressurizes the hydraulic components of the landing gear system
Did he call out 80 knots and V1? Didnt hear it.
I love this, so cool
Not the original cockpit but a nice video. When planes were real.
Wow still using the Delco C-IV carousel INS.
Too bad airplanes don't use turbojet engines anymore... they make really awesome noise but are so inneficient!
the747videoer Yes, I totally agree! What a nice sound - missing it!
They are turbofans. TF33.
Best "job" ever
fantastic:)!
Thank you very much!
I'm gathering Right Seat = PF.
I was wondering the same thing. Captain in the left hand seat continues to have his hands on the controls despite FO seemingly controlling the aircraft.
sound like an Old version of X-Plane
Amazing sound! I have some footage of 707s in my channel as well.
"Mobius 1, engage."
What a heavenly sound! Makes me want to eat meat and drive fast! Punch holes in the wall!
Amazing on how I worked on this shit and didn't get killed...
C 5A is the best
Skin cabtin wooooooow

Kinda feel for the climate change activists out there… BUT THAT SOUND THOUGH!!! I CANT HELP IT!!!
Spent a lot of time at GK....good times.
They are so cute
