Legendary German PLUM PIE recipe ☆ Very tasty!

- German plum cake KUCHEN - shortbread base, custard, plum and streusel. This is an incredibly delicious plum pie recipe! The dessert turns out very beautiful in cut, and has a delicate taste with the sweet and sour taste of plums. It is not difficult and quick to prepare.

DOUGH:
- 200g flour;
- 70g sugar (powdered sugar);
- 100g butter;
- 1 egg;
- 1 tsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt.
CUSTARD:
- 250 ml milk;
- 1 egg;
- 40g sugar;
- 1 tbsp flour;
- 1 tbsp corn starch;
FILLING:
- 700g plum;
- 1/2 tbsp sugar (optional);
- 60g flour;
- 40g sugar;
- 40g butter;
- almond petals.
CUSTARD
1. Mix eggs, sugar, flour and starch until smooth. Place the milk on the fire and bring to a boil, but do not boil. Pour some of the milk into the eggs, stirring continuously. Pour everything back into the pan and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Transfer the cream to a plate and cover with cling film in contact.
DOUGH
2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add butter and rub into crumbs. Add the egg and knead into a soft, elastic dough.
3. Distribute the dough into a 20cm pan, forming the sides and bottom.
4. Pour the custard over the dough and spread it over the dough. Place a plum, cut in half, on top of the cream, as shown in the video. Sprinkle 1/2 tbsp sugar on top, if desired.
FILLING AND ASSEMBLY
5. For the streusel, mix flour, sugar and butter into crumbs. Sprinkle streusel over the cake and top with almonds for decoration.
6. Bake at 180°C for about 30-35 minutes. Cool the finished pie, it is advisable that it cools down. All is ready!
