    Many missunderstandings and misstakes here. The guns never protrude so far out from the gun openings. The wing had rectangular scotch taped panels covering the White friend or foe numbers and had therefore different shine color even covering part of the yellow number 66. Also the nose radome looks like so bad having a step on topwhere attached to fuselage. And why the hell is the radar warning fintop only used by Denmark and later Austria bought them and mounted on a Swedish Draken?

    Nice build, and your right showing faded paint, heavy scratches and just showing the age of this jet that was in service for five decades. That’s a testament to Saab engineering. I think you’ve done this old girl proud. Well done.

    When I was a small kid I saw the Draken as a new fighter in an "I Spy" book of war planes and was staggered (even at my very young age) at the amount of weaponry it carried compared with other fighters of the time. Together with it's lines It became and still is one of my favourite warplanes, right up there with the Phantom and English Electric Lightning. A superbly "well used" creation Alex. Thank you.

    Wow. Love how the Air-Intake blends into the Wing. Giving a Double Delta design look to the Wing.
    Hats Off to the Swedes who were building such Forward Looking Designs in the 1950s.

    Absolutely excellent rendering of a very good kit Alex. The advanced and improvised(?) weathering techniques worked out wonderfully. It really looks like the genuine article. There were even parts of the video where I became curious about your choices but, in the end, you rendered what you intended. Awesome job and I'm looking forward to seeing more. In fact, I just queued up your vid on a 1/72 scale MiG-15 since I like that scale too. Thanks very much for sharing your work with us Alex. Especially since this aircraft has been one of my favorites since I was a boy just starting in modelling. That was over 50 years ago.So nice to see that the hobby survives and advances with efforts like yours.

    Alex, fine job on this Draken! As a former USAF E5 technician, I can appreciate the used and abused suite of weathering effects you used on this aircraft. I am just finishing the Tarangus Viggen (which has/had some major fit issues by the way) and am looking forward to representing the thrust reverser stains on the fuselage. Bravo on the build sir!

    The aircraft is called Saab Ja35 = Hunting and attack The dragon and comes from F10 Angelholm Flight Fleet This aircraft has the end of the 50's and the beginning of the 60's the aircraft was the most in Sweden but I think that in war it also is a precursor to Saab JA 37 Viggen

    Very nice built. Personally I tend to use drybrushing a lot when doing weathering, but then again I am more into figure painting then machines. Any chance you would do the F8 Crusader in the future, she is an old time favorite of mine :)

    Are you aware that the money you spend on the tamiya weathering master, you could have went down to your local beauty supply store and picked up some eye shadow for about half what you spent on the Tamiya, rebranded eye shadow for. Chemical testing I did prove it is exactly the same stuff, just rebranded and marked up because it is for modeling.

    • @AlexModeling
      @AlexModeling  6 лет назад +1

      Nop! But thanks cause when these are through... its exactly what im going to use! Thanks!

    • @kevinm3751
      @kevinm3751 6 лет назад +1

      You will be pleasantly surprised too because the variety of colors you can get in these eyeshadows goes way beyond what you can find in model branded kits. One note of caution however, some brands of shadow can have adverse effects with some paints. So either testing is always a good idea, even if you intend on sealing first. I have found the hypo allergenic products are not a problem and can be applied directly without sealing first but I am sure I dont have to tell you to test first...;)
