I’m 53. My mentors as a young man were amazing model builders who graced the covers of Scale Modeler back in the 80s. This kinda stuff wasn’t available but this is AMAZING! What a treat and thank you for this to bring back memories. I’m a fan!
You are more than welcome my friend 🤗
I have built about five or six Phantoms in the past few years and I come back to your channel frequently for the way you paint the bare metal portion of the rear fuselage. Thank you for sharing it made learning the hobby so much more enjoyable.
Incredible skills. I especially appreciate how you show which products you are using, that will certainly help us learn. We can learn so much from your videos. Enjoying your many videos. Thank you for posting these.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos my friend 🤗
It is amazing and really useful for someone who is in the process of learning. Εξαιρετικό
I just got the same H&S airbrush and it is amazing, though the needle is so small Vallejo Air paint will clog it up out of the bottle @ 13:08
You don't see that paint scheme very often ! Nice touch.
Thanks
Una colorazione eccellente... Un incredibile phantom!
Wow! You really did that Phantom justice! What a great kit and a great job!
Thank you 😁👍🏻
@@PerisModels please make a tempest mk 2 of the Pakistan Air Force.
Love from Pakistan.
@@omerashraf9357 is this a WWII plane?
Este canal é sensacional, parabéns, tirou dúvidas que eu tinha sobre porcentagem de diluição, diâmetro de agulha do aerografo e pressão do compressor, é arte e ensinamento ao mesmo tempo, parabéns pela dedicação!!
I dont understand
This Channel is amazing, congratulations, it cleared my doubts about dilution percentage, needle diâmeter of the airbrush and pressure compressor, it's art and teaching até the same time, congratulations for dedication !!!
Absolutely STUNNING model! Fantastic. I especially found your initial highlight of panel lines and details PRIOR to painting fascinating, and felt that created a very good effect. Adding the additional wash afterward to further emphasize all the panel lines, in my opinion, was a little bit much. Some panels, if they have been removed from the aircraft during maintenance, will have paint separation and reason for the darkened lines.
The grime from fluid leaks was done to excellent effect, though. Well played.
Otherwise, it was a pleasure to watch this build. Keep up the great work!
A-Train thank you so much for the constructive feedback my friend
👍🏻😁😁😁
So, what’s the mix, paint to clear for a wash, then the….oh hell, way too many questions. I’ll watch more and hope some sticks in the grey matter under my head. 😂😂I used to do this stuff with airfix 1/32 ww2 soldiers on a production line. Boos to helmet. That was mumble yrs ago, when I was a kid. Dad owned toy shop back then so I could get what I needed right off the cash n carry. Lol. Cracking presentation yet again. Ordered the air gun from eBay along with the worlds supply of paint, tape, glue and I stopped when my card hit £60. 🤟cheers man.
At 17:23 you place strips: one strip, one empty interval, one strip and so on .... but you can start putting strips everywhere one after another and extract what you want for the empty intervals. ADVANTAGE: precision - the width of strip is equal with the width of the empty interval. This can be changed for non equal widths. I done this at a Tamiya 61114 Tomcat arresting hook.
BEAUTIFUL JOB
Better idea thabk you 🤙🏻👍🏻
One of my all time favorite aircraft. Beautifully done.
Mine too...grew up sketching and drawing these planes relentlessly...and some (not quite as accomplished) model making too ..😀
Wow I stumbled on the video and saw the F4-E with the number 308 and JV on the tail. That plane came from the 40th TFS at Eglin and went to the 469 th at Korat, Thailand in November of 68. I was a weapons mechanic and loaded 5.5 million pounds of bomb during my 1 year tour
r
Fantastic to find someone that worked on it 👍👍👍
Amazing work. Learning many things watching the way you build and paint the model. Fantastic looking F-4E.
Very nice work as always I'm fixing to start on the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4E late version was thinking of doing an Israeli marking but wasn't sure if the Israeli's had flown the later version as in the extended leading edge slat's but after seeing your build and some pictures of the real thing apparently they did fly both version.
201 Squadron IAF - great build!
Thank you
God that's a masterpiece, wonderful work!!!
The F-4 is still one of my all time e favourite aircraft, many thanks for sharing this build, excellent build.👍👍☺
Les Thiele mine too
Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏼
Excellent build. As for the authentication issues, A little note if I may:
As a veteran of this particular squadron ("201- the one"): The Israeli F-4's stopped carrying sparrow missiles at the early 80's and at least 7 years before the new Kurnass 2000 got into service in 1988.
Therefore, this model cannot represent a Kurnass 2000 aircraft, when carrying this kind of missiles.
All 4 carrying points, 4,6,3,7 - have been modified to carry some other stuff, like suu-25 on points 3,7 (rear points)
or ALQ-119 pod on point 4 (left fwd).
Besides that - amazing building and painting job.
David
דוד קלדרון David its an honour to have someone like you to comment on my build
Thank you for the information I didn't know about it
I will try and remove them 👍
Hi Peri's Models!
I'm excited to see someone in your league, building my favorite aircraft ever. Thanks!
I hope the model won't be damaged while trying to tear up the missiles.... It's too beautiful.
Maybe it would be better to keep it like this..

Apologies for the very late reply....I just dint get notified
Excellent! Great job on the masking on the canopy, I wish it would be a tutorial for that.
Might do on the next phantom
Loved the wash especially.
Thank you 😁
Great build, the extra details make it a show stopper!
Steve thank you so much 🤙🏻😁
The paint and weathering job are the best, really awesome and amazing.

Thank you
Stunning
Woow felicitaciones exelente trabajo!! saludos desde mexico
Gracias 😁😁😁
Superb work quality and correct scheme (squadron , number etc).
I would recommend a different loadout. This one is kinda mid 70s era, but this is an F-4 2000,
Thank you my friend
What loadout would you suggest?
@@PerisModels Okay, will try. This loadout was typical for real operations with the 201 squadron.
Like other operational loadouts, it was asymmetric and the plane really looked armed to the teeth.
Inner wing stations- GBU-15 (dark green, fins in light green).
There were two fin configurations. This is the type with big fins. See wikipedia.
Outer right wing station- GBU-15 communication pod.
Outer left wing station - a drop tank.
Left forward sparrow station- an ALQ-119 pod. Usually dirty off-white.
Right forward sparrow station - an AIM-9D on a special long adapter that the IAF developed (there are rare photos of this).
Two rear sparrow stations- not used.
The inner wing pylons also have flare dispatchers. Chaff dispensers are integrated into the plane's lower rear fuselage.
I really enjoyed your work man, amazing F4, amazing Detail, amazing result...PERFECT
likourgos pantelakis Thank you very much 👍👍👍

Nice work.

All,
Resin dust is toxic. Please use water when cutting and sanding to reduce resin dust in the air. Good idea to use a respirator, too.
Great build!
Happy modeling!

Great job done! Thanks for sharing! I use your videos as most useful tutorials.
Could you please tell what glew was used for the HUD "glass"? Thanks!
I used pva white glue or Krystal clear
@@PerisModels Thanks a lot for a prompt answer!)
I just adore your work! Making camo paint scheme just by hand, without any stencils and masks is a real blast.))))
Thanks again!)
THIS IS A BEAUTY :)
👍👍👍
CRAZY MAD SKEELZ!
Thank you
Peri's Models you are most welcome!!
I would suggest learning how to texture your bombs. They look a little plasticky without the stippled texturing. I think the panel line wash is a bit dark and overdone. But overall a really nice job.
Thank you for the feedback my friend
I ll Tey next time
Amazing work!!!! Like your videos and description of all steps. How long does it take you to build it?
SaphirSLO thank you for your kind words
It is hard to say how many hours as I only model Friday and Saturday nights
congratulations!
Thank you
Cara um dos caças mais bonitos, espero montar um só quero fazer do jeito certo
I don’t understand
Hello, how are you?
I'm from Brazil,
I love Phantom, one of the most beautiful fighters, F4-C and S, I hope to build one, I just want to do it the right way and for this I need to gain experience
Robson C thank you 😊
Exceptional build! Very nice! A few question though. What type of wash did you use for inside the cockpit? Did you apply a glosscote over the acrylic paint used for the cockpit? Last question, what type of paint did you use to drybrush over the cockpit and seats?
A P thank you for your kind words 👍🏼
I used Tamiya x-22 before the wash. The wash was AK interactive paneliner wash
For drybrushing I used Vallejo acrylic grey
That's great
Cheers
Savage! doing camouflage paint style without masking tape...
Thank you 👍🏻
Beautiful video, but, next time, use vallejo acrylic putty.
J. Llorente thank you
I will my friend 👍🏼
Excellent work!
Thank you 👍🏻
Τέλειο!
Great work! I just started building a 1/32 Tamiya F-4. I have one question. It looks like once you snap the canopies into place they can swivel up or down in the open or closed position. Is this correct? The instructions aren’t very clear on that. Thanks
It's only because I was going to post it so I didnt want them to break
I had to add pins to the actuators so i can put them on or off
How did you do the yellow strips around the canopy? I know it was to probably to cover up the blemish from the sprue..I’m building the kit too and I have blemish on my canopy’s from the spruce..very irritated..thanks
I use thin cut strips of tamiya tape
Very Good~!
Thank you 👍🏻
What kind of airbrush are you using? Looks like an Iwata. Ive always used a paasche but never had the lines THAT thin before.
i am using Harder and Steenbeck infitity
The israeli F-4E phantom look amazing do you know any 1:72 kit of it or ways to modify another kit ?
callum saunders any F-4E or F-4F in 1/72 can be used straight from the box. You will need to find a refuel prob
I believe Hasegawa is producing an Israeli one in 1/72
thank you
super!!!
Cheers 😁
Hi, first ,as David said, (and as an ex-IAF ground crew guy who stood few times next to that monster) - it is a very beautiful model !!!
just wanted to ask why you used a cockpit resin kit if you said (rightfully) that the details are good and the cockpit is great straight OOTB ?
Thank you for your kind words 😁
The build was a commission and the client wanted to have the resin aftermarket installed
Personally I would only use the side wall resin parts
clear out ! got it... :)
how long does it take for a detailed build like this ? You're a craftman all the way
Thank you very much 👍🏻
Usually 2 months as I only model Friday and Saturday night
Awesome 👍
MM Scale Models thank you 😊
Hi,
That is a really great build!!
May I ask what did you use to attach the clear canopy to the canopy framing please?
Kind regards Dave.
Thank you
Just Krystal clear from microset
Or plain white glue
@@PerisModels Many thanks Peri.
I was just curious to see if you had used Tamiya Extra Thin on the canopy.
I have this kit in my stash and I think for safety reasons Kristal clear is a better choice!!
Many thanks once again!!
Kind regards Dave.
@@davedelaney9727 I never use tamiya extra thin cement or any other glue apart from pva or clear just in case I need to remove it for any reason
@@PerisModels I think that is good practice Peri better to be safe than sorry!!
Good!
Spring Huang thank you 😊
What percentage do you dilute your Tamiya X-22 clear?
Usually i go 50-50 👍🏻
Thank you 👍👍
Excellent work!! How long do you leave the wash on?
About 1 hour
@@PerisModels Thank You...
Hello when using tamiya x-22 clear coat did you dilute it with some thinner ? Thanks
Yes usually 50 50
Thank you
