ALWAYS chock the wheels, years ago I had a truck driver start to drive away, I honked my horn like crazy and my lift had 2 wheels on the dock and 2 wheels on the trailer! I was way to close to having a 3 foot vertical drop in the forklift! Be safe out there people, go home in 1 piece!

Look up forklift classes in your area they last about 2 to 3 hours depends on how many people in the class. The written test is multiple choice hour of looking at videos what are boring another hour on the forklift training how to operate it then take the test even if you fail once they allow you to take it again for free and you'll get your license three to four days in the mail you got to renew it every 3 years

@@miterbox9491 either. I saw a two day forklift training school for the 5 types including Reach, Counterbalance, Cherry P, Walkers, Stand Ups for 500 dollars not including the licensing and exam fee. If your employer covers this it would open up a whole new world for you.

I've been driving clamp trucks and forklifts since 2009 and never seen anyone use or get fired for seatbelts lol.

Yes take it slow and steady and remember you control the lift. When you see how comfortable your co workers are it will ease your mind
