Allen and Heath Zed R16. I’m using the board as a midi controller here, everything is happening in the computer, no external effects or audio running thru the mixer, except the stereo mix for monitoring.
I use the Zed R16 as well, and am wondering how you're using the digital midi fader mode in conjunction with physical outboard send effects. I've never figured out how to run audio from the daw into any of the sends. Thanks, your work is amazing
I’m not, everything is in the box on this one. I don’t know if you can use the midi control and still send audio thru the channel, I don’t think so. I either go all in the box or all hardware, I don’t mix them.
As for running audio thru the sends. You have create an output channel in your daw, assign it to a zed channel and route a track to it from your daw. Then hit use the dig ret pre-ins or dig ret post-eq button on the zed to let the audio run thru the mixer channel, then you can use the sends on the zed.
