    My favorite band. His singing style is quite hard to reproduce he adds lots of effects but it still sounds so natural, kind of genius in my book

    • @tooluuke7638
      @tooluuke7638 4 года назад +8

      He has one of the most particular voice, that is the most difficult thing to reproduce. I mean he has this voice very very thiny, like a "mezza-voce" if we can define in this term. If you don't born with that voice you can't even try to do something similiar to him. For example i have a bass/baritone voice and my head voice is preatty big and it's impossible to have his voice at all. Maybe for a tenor is better but it's something that has to do just with vocal chords. I think very very few people in earth can try to reproduce exactly his voice but in my opinion you have to born with those vocal chords and other things ..

    Agreed about Thom Yorke, though I'm not really a fan of Radiohead, I really like his style and uniqueness. Brilliant musician.... You spoke about nasality in this video, would you do a video discussing the concepts of it, like pros and cons, why it would be used, and what is achieved when using it? I have a bias against it and I'm not sure why. Of all the pop/alternative songs I've listened to throughout the 80s/90s/00s, there were a lot of nasally vocals that bothered me because I saw them as using the technique as a crutch or shortcut. It seemed like the singers had deluded themselves into thinking they sound amazing, and what I was thinking during the few moments it took as I reached to change the radio station or click to new song was the singer needed more clarity or purity in execution.It still bothers me and I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on what's going on because I probably don't understand it as much as think I do. Thanks!!

    Hello there! Missing your videos (but from artists I like hehe). Love how you need to explain so many details about the complexity of a voice so identifiable.
    If you do another Radiohead video, could it be Paranoid android, All I need, High and dry, Karma police, Street spirit (fade out), Black star, How to desappear completely, Idioteque, Let down? (I could literally love a video on each one 😅)
    Your choice for this video is lovely.

    I would love your thoughts on Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Dream On from Howard Stern. The man is over 70! How can he still sound the same?

    Have you listened to Radiohead's "Nude (from the basement)"?
    Please check it out, would love to see your reaction.
    Actually this very song, and all of (from the basement) is live studio recorded and much better quality audio to really appreciate his voice
