I think that shows that bands should maintain the same members because if they all work together and sound great, is it even the same band if someone leaves and is replaced?
something i found to be good about radiohead is, you can click on any of their song randomly, and you'll always find someone mentioning that particular song as his/her favorite. any songs
Muhammad Tantowi Jauhari there are so many more obvious examples you could have picked like We Suck Young Blood or Push Pull Revolving Doors or a lot of the songs from Pablo Honey, Black Star is a great track

When he was asleep, I often listened to this album and especially this song. It soothed and comforted me and let me escape. Strong family support and this music got me through that time. Everyone in this video is in a flow state. This is the purest form of music. Complete surrender to the emotion and enjoyment. Not to mention it is rehearsed so well and everyone is executing their role to perfection.

+Rufusdos Gah, it's brilliant. I wish we could see the band's reactions to knocking out such a fucking perfect take of such a trippy and relentless song.
Drums and Thom in 4/4. Ed O'Brian and Jonny Greenwood playing cyclical arpeggios in 3/8 and 5/8 respectively. Creates this mesmerising dreamscape of polyrhythms: a texture which is ever evolving but never fully resolves; where no single bar is the same as any other. Kind of like life itself. And death. And fishes. A true masterpiece in every sense of the word.
Their expression and love for sound is above and beyond. I think they're one of the most truthful and humble bands and are seemingly unrivaled. It's like watching an old Bo Diddley video where his legs are moving so slickly to the music as he jams out his riffs and he's essentially vibrating back and forth across the stage. I love seeing Thom let loose in live videos. Becomes one with the music. And Phil is such a talented and underrated drummer. His time signatures and the beats he creates to the bands music are incredibly flawless.
What i like about Radiohead is that the vocals in the song compliment the song in general instead of overpowering it. The song does not rely on the vocals like most songs today. I think that illustrates the quality of the instrumentals performed by this band. Dont get me wrong though, Yorke is a great singer.

This is the song that got me into Radiohead and I can safely say they are one of my favourite bands. They keep appearing throughout my life one way or another. last night I had some space cakes with my housemates and we all were abit out of it just talking and drinking. This track came on the spotify playlist that was playing through the tv and we all went silent and just listened closing our eyes. They aren't massive Radiohead fans but we all got lost into this song. A beautiful piece of music.
At the age of 16, I think I’ve reached my “Radiohead Moment” as people are speaking about. I’m not one that listens to lyrics much, as a musician I much prefer to listen to the melodies and harmonies of the music, and while a lot of people listen to Radiohead because of their touching lyrics, I personally love the way their music sounds and how the band works with each other and I think some of their work is truly beautiful from a musical standpoint, this song being one of them, hell, the entirety of In Rainbows is just a masterpiece in my opinion. I’ve known of these guys my whole life but never really sat down and listened to them but this week I’ve been obsessed, listening to each album through on the bus or when playing games or whatever. This might be one of my favourite bands of all time. Thanks for reading if you did :)

Been listening to them since I was 10. I’m almost 25 now, and I wouldn’t have gotten through some of my worst moments without their art. I miss them and hope for more, but treasure what we did get to have with everything in me
I’m so glad Brian Eno is playing drums again. Having been raised up on Radiohead since they hit the airwaves with Pablo Honey and revering their many albums thereafter, I find In Rainbows to be my favorite and most sentimental, with repeat listenability and a continued sense of renewal in spirit and creativity. Long live Rainbows.
I can honestly say that I've listened to this over thousand times, and from the day it was released to this very moment, the depth, beauty and composition of this song has not faded from my mind.
After many many replays of the album I have to conclude that this is indeed the best song on In Raindbows. In a very tight race with Reckoner and later Jigsaw the lyics on weird fishes are so sincere and true. With a breathtaking climax and a perfect build-up this masterpiece can easily be considered one of Radiohead's greatests.
This is pure genius. The first and last lines are so thought provoking and everlasting all in one. Why are we here and what does it mean to be alive. The happiness of love and the loss of a loved one. "I'll hit the bottom, hit the bottom and escape." WOW...I can't wait for radiohead's next album. I'll follow where they lead. Bravo Boys.
When I was 15-16 I was reading the newspaper on a sunday morning "Radiohead will release In Rainbows online and people can pay what they want". I thought it was really cool, but my taste in music wasn't that developed back then, years passed and now I am in love with this album, one of the finest.
I’ve been a hip hop head since age 7ish. Started exploring rock at 14 and got so hooked with the music that it made me want to buy a guitar and learn. Trust man, it only takes one band to fall in love with it. This shit is astronomical.

Archie Cleaver fuck yes bro. The band or the person that did it for me was Jimi hendrix! Forrest Gump was my favorite movie and it had a lot of great tunes i’ve heard before and enjoyed. RUclips recommendations pulled it up out of nowhere and i heard and realized i’ve heard it before. I’ve always liked 60s-70’s rock but never put a name to a song. The next song that played after that was light my fire by the doors. Ever since then i’ve explored pretty much the entire genre. I pretty much fell out of touch with my generation but i found i belong in the indie rock scene. Lots of great bands. I’m 20 now and hope to explore more as well!
The sustain of the bassline, Ed's beckground-voice, Scattered chords of three different guitars are perfectly match with each other... Everything in this song is just PERFECT.
Just came here to say I f***ing love Radiohead. Honestly this is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I can’t quite describe the emotions I feel when I listen to this track, it like just draws the emotion out of me. Absolutely insane
I not only absolutely adore the music these brilliant scientists of sound create but hold boundless respect for the expressionism and passion they show when delivering their creations live like this. IMO, Radiohead never has nor ever will hit the so called apex of their career as they seem to always be floating at such a height. Suggesting they have already done so is akin to admitting they've already climbed Everest and are still en route as they descend. i cannot see or hear this and believe every album is another one of their progressively inspired and evolutionary footprints they leave as they waltz around the apex.
And when the song reaches the bottom of the sea, with only Thom Yorke singing at his cleanest, purest lungs, and Jonny somehow emulating the enigmatic watery sound of the twillight zone, you know that the band has transcended. And better than that: they have offered us to go with them and enjoy the ride. I honestly think that this section of Weird Fishes is the most perfect piece of art they have ever produced. I cry, die and ressurrect everytime I listen to it.
Intelligently evocative, emotionally depressing and yet absolutely uplifting while ultimately beautiful - Radiohead are by a country mile, the most important composers of music in the last 20 years. Humbled to have had the pleasure of seeing them perform live :)
These guys have been together for more than 30 years, no member has left the band, and the only new addition is a second drummer. You can tell it is either all of them or none, radiohead can not be radiohead without any of These lads
Radiohead holds my mind and heart, each of their songs takes me back, vivid memories like a movie playing in my mind. What was, what I hoped it would be. After all of it, I try to live in the here and now but sometimes they pull me awake, stir my heart and give me the courage to dream again.
Greatest band of a generation no doubt about it, a true treasure. The type of band who will inevitably become the modern day generational equivalent of a Beethoven or Mozart
This will forever be my teenage anthem. I'll give everyting I got in order to get back to 2006 and listen to In Rainbow for the first time all over again 😊
Active 1985-present with no past members. Radiohead is one in a million
1 in 7.5 billion
Only band I can think of that is still made up of all its members is aerosmith, I wish more bands retain all of its members
I think that shows that bands should maintain the same members because if they all work together and sound great, is it even the same band if someone leaves and is replaced?
Arcade Fire maintained their sole line up and had like 8 members. Another creative group.
The Strokes, Muse, Arctic Monkeys

In Rainbows is the best album.
The problem with this band is that each one of them knows how to play their role really well, with no mistakes. I'm glad I discovered Radiohead.

Gracias por existir Radiohead, Simplemente gracias
And when the song reaches the bottom of the sea, with only Thom Yorke singing at his cleanest, purest lungs, and Jonny somehow emulating the enigmatic watery sound of the twillight zone, you know that the band has transcended. And better than that: they have offered us to go with them and enjoy the ride.
I honestly think that this section of Weird Fishes is the most perfect piece of art they have ever produced. I cry, die and ressurrect everytime I listen to it.
My favorite part
I'd be crazy not to follow
Follow where you lead
Though it's not 5-7-5 but 5-8-5 which means it's jiyuritsu and not a teikei haiku
That's way too deep man.
Intelligently evocative, emotionally depressing and yet absolutely uplifting while ultimately beautiful - Radiohead are by a country mile, the most important composers of music in the last 20 years.
Humbled to have had the pleasure of seeing them perform live :)
eeeeeeeds voice is just perfect, the rhythm, thoms voice ... this hits my soul.💖
This song heals my broken heart
These guys have been together for more than 30 years, no member has left the band, and the only new addition is a second drummer.
You can tell it is either all of them or none, radiohead can not be radiohead without any of These lads
Everytime they play this song Colin gets into a smooth fucking vibe, he is really enjoying this amazing song, so do i
I love the screaams
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
Not as good as the MTV beach house screams though
@@sophieheritage478 i love how you replied to a 10 year old comment lmfao
you're totally right though
dgbeck hahaha I don’t think I realised how old the comment was
Aren't those eeeeeedddddds?
No it's EEEEEEDDDD
Why do I come back and listen this song in every three weeks? This has to be something genious.
Radiohead holds my mind and heart, each of their songs takes me back, vivid memories like a movie playing in my mind. What was, what I hoped it would be. After all of it, I try to live in the here and now but sometimes they pull me awake, stir my heart and give me the courage to dream again.
I love how each member gets their own part to shine....then meld back together as one 💗
This song never fails to amaze me.
That "hey yeah!" Tho I love it 👌🏾👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾
sounds like 30 seconds to mars kind of backvocals
lol wtf
30STM? eew!
Night's King what are you talking about?
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDD
Johnny’ right hand is a marvel of precision and minimal movement
No matter how many times i listen, no RH song gets old, and they're phenomenal in concert. Fan from the beginning!
ok but can we not talk about johnny’s red wooly sweater, that honestly looks so comfy
They're from another planet
Planet Floyd ;-)
@@THEPINKFLOYDIANS which one's pink?
Thom is so ahead of tempo its amazing.
Pure joy. Each player contributing beauty to the overall composition. A true band
Thank You Radiohead for being so incredible and pleasing my eardrums on a daily basis!
love this version of Weird Fishes
3:10 when you woke up for your first class
Greatest band of a generation no doubt about it, a true treasure. The type of band who will inevitably become the modern day generational equivalent of a Beethoven or Mozart
This will forever be my teenage anthem. I'll give everyting I got in order to get back to 2006 and listen to In Rainbow for the first time all over again 😊
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Radiohead. Different sound, similar style. I can feel a Beatles influence in both bands
Brilliant, love how much the drummer is into it
Best version.
From the basement is pretty good too
Yorke really sees his voice as just another instrument. So cool.
When thom does that head moving dance move it looks like he's eating corn
omg😂😂😂😂
great song
Scotch Mist was such a great experience when it came out, so much excitement... Good days
