Great video. From my experience of driving cars older and new, I know how the temperature supposed to read. My 2000 for taurus SE 24V DOHC, I CAN tell it is reading just a little to hot, but my car is not actually overheating. Next, I tried a bars product, but instructions weren't very clear that I needed to abstract some of the coolant as you did in the video with your suction tool. So after I poured the bars, a day later I said this is above the level in my reservoir so I took some out. So it probably didn't work effectively. Now I know once I pour this one or any other additive, is to first drain the coolant. Anyways, I like additives where they automatically mix in. Great video, and clear instructions, it gave me a confirmation on what i was looking for. Because I'm used to just pour and go, I guess all products are not like that
Excellent video! I was looking at Royal Purple Ice and was wondering if it helped the car warm up faster like the Amsoil does. Do you know anything about that? If you don't, I could try it out and report back my results!
Can I use it with the existing coolant. I mean can I use it with the OEM coolant or I have to flush the OEM coolant and fill the radiator with AMSOIL anti freeze & coolant and then use it??
Thanks for the video. Do you have any remarks on the corrosion protection properties of this coolant booster? Do you think it really protects metal from corrosion?
Yes absolutely protects. From the website "Coolant Boost also contains a robust mixture of corrosion inhibitors that protect the radiator, heater core, water pump, cylinder heads, engine block and intake manifold from the damaging effects of corrosion" What do you have and year?
@@repairvehicle Thanks for your reply. I've read the website and the ASTM test results they shared but wanted first hand experience. I have a TLC FJ40 restomod with a Toyota 5VZFE engine (iron block with aluminum head) and a Copper/Brass radiator. I wanted to try using this in plain water.
I've got an 08 LAND ROVER LR2 SE 195k on it, I had a coolant leak every 1000km I added liqui Moly radiator stop it has slowed down the leak. Can I use amsoil coolant boost? How much should I put in?. Thanks
It's not going to stop the leak. It's not going to help with cooling either because of moly. Moly has coated every cooling part of the engine and it will prevent heat transfer. The only way to fix this issue is to fix the problem then clean engine cooling system and then add amsoil booster after everything has been fixed. Moly is just a bandage on the broken bone.

Bro I am using Renault Duster..total coolant capacity is around 5.4 litres. How much should I add. I am using Wuerth green coolant 1:1 ratio with distilled water. Can you reply.
Your accord has very small cooling capacity system, 5 quarts. So you will need 5 oz of coolant booster www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-and-light-truck/2018/honda/accord/2-0l-4-cyl-engine-code-k20c4-7-turbo/?volume=us-volume&zo=5257753
You're not trying to sell me something I don't really need are you? By the way, when do you need a transmission cooler? What is too hot for transmission temperature? Mine gets up to 190° and it's winter and I'm not pulling a trailer.
It's up to you if you need or not booster. It works for me and will always use it. About transmission cooler? Very good question and I have been asked about it by many subscribers. I will make a video on this subject in a month hopefully, with details and hardware. If you don't hear from me after a month, please remind me.
It helps with heat transfer from the cylinder block to the coolant itself and thus from radiator to the atmosphere. No matter if it's taking away the heat or it's heating up.Both are getting faster. Have you ever heared about thermal paste to CPU's? I would say that it makes the same job but in liquid state.
It’s great stuff, I live in Australia and it’s used to keep the engine cooler.

Hello 👋🏽 question. If using the amsoil antifreeze, is the coolant booster needed?
Good question, you can use with Amsoil but I not sure if it’s needed
Can I use it with the existing coolant. I mean can I use it with the OEM coolant or I have to flush the OEM coolant and fill the radiator with AMSOIL anti freeze & coolant and then use it??
Yes you can mix with oem coolant

Great video. I am not sure how much I have to add to a 2007 Mercedes C200 Kompressor M271 system. Can you please advise.
I don't know cooling capacity for your c200, we don't have them here in US.
Do you absolutely need to drain some coolant before adding the coolant boost in the system?
Answer in the video
@@repairvehicle I have a last question, do I extract the extra coolant from the coolant tank or directly from the radiator system?
It depends what you, answer in the video
Does it matter what color coolant you have I have blue in my Mercedes
No
Can I add this booster to my 2020 side-by-side Polaris ATV?
