When he plays the wrong players, he doesn't bunt, steel bases, hit and run,when your offense is struggling u have to do some of those things, he justs makes out the lineup, thats it u or i could do that
The manager i miss alot is jim leyland, now hall.of fame manager jim leyland. He wasn't a perfect manager, but at least one thing you could never say about jim leyland was that he didn't care, boy oh boy did he care, during a game and after a game he showed a lot of emotion. Where is that emotion from hinch? Fans need to know tbe manager cares, I'm not asking for a hal macrae emotional blow up, but at least show the media and fans you care, and you don't like to lose.

Also, years ago jim was with the rockies and he was doing a bad job, like how hinch is doing now, and he told them he was quitting and they didn't need to pay him because he felt he did a bad job. Would hinch ever do something like that?
Lange might have been playing bad but it was actually nice to see him pissed off it’s the most emotion I’ve seen on this team. Hinch can’t light a fire under these guys.
Considering the lineup consists of basically 4 minor league bats, the worst player in the league, and a few slightly above average guys, it's difficult to put too much blame on AJ. In baseball, the best managers give you about 5 extra wins, the worst will lose you an extra 5 or so. If they had an average MLB lineup of bats, they'd be in first.

The tigers need a manager with experience with young talent and building a team from the ground up. That's most certainly not aj hinch, that houston astros world series team, cheating or not was stacked top to bottom, so he had very very little to do with the championship. Joe madden is a guy who i believe could build the tigers into respectability and a team competing for a world series again. I don't understand most of the decisions he makes, half the times he pulls the starting pitcher before he even throws 90 pitches. Aj hinch will go down as one of the worst tigers managers in history, he's terrible. Plus, he shows zero emotion one way or another after a game. I think the tigers should have denise illitch, mike's daughter run the team, if they do, i guarantee, she would care a whole lot more about building a winning team similar to sheila ford hamp with the lions.

Hinch is simply not that great of a manager, in houston that team was stacked top to bottom. Plus, when he was fired from houston, none of the players stood up for him. Aj hitch is not a manager that can build a team, from a losing team into a winning team. Joe madden is frankly the guy I wanted and still want as the tigers manager, I realize he didn't have a great tenure in Los Angeles, but he has a proven track record of taking awful teams that were losing 100 games a season before he got there, and going to the world series. He made two world series with teams that were awful when he took over and he made one world series with Tampa and he more importantly won one with the cubs.
Ajs job is to manage the team that is given to him. Greenberg and Harris share the responsibility of building the team. AJ does have certain inputs sure, but he can only run out there what he is given. The tigers front office as a whole are to blame for not being able to turn this into a winning team. AJ can only do so much.

What I'm saying is, the tigers front office, particularly scott harris aren't going anywhere, so, if the team looks terrible this year and next year, it'll come down on aj, not anyone in the front office.

Competitive?? Detroit was above Kansas city but now the only team worst us Chicago they can barely beat bottom div teams . Team has made no progress whatsoever except flex with it's pitching and have one of the most dismal boringest offenses in baseball so lacking the manager is garbage
Man,blaming AJ Hinch is like blaming a messenger. Ain't his fault he had 2 offensively conservative GMs and has a cheap,bumass owner who's forcing Hinch to play with BUMS IN THE BATTING LINEUP AND DEFENSIVE LINEUP.
