It works like the Free series. All of those tools are accessible one handed. There are little lips near the end of the tool. Once you put pressure there the tools pop out. The more you know....
Bingo. Am I the only one screaming at my screen while MC was trying to figure it out?! lol Like said, run it all one handed and roll the tools out with your thumb from close to the pivot. At 6:28 I thought he had it. Can't say I've seen him review a Free series tool.
I shamelessly use my arc as a fidget toy. The sheath is a bit kit, for all my regular use impact ready bits, and a few regular quarter inch extensions. Liked the review brother.
Got the Arc about a week ago.. hasn’t left my belt since, things awesome 👏.. checks all the boxes ✅ Aside from it my regular edc is a custom bugout Ti / M390 .. Lynch NW prybar , Ti Fenix pen 🖊️, Olight M2R warrior pro … then wallet / smokes 🚬 😅/ 📱/ lighter .. and a few random things I don’t know why 🤷♂️.. I just felt like sharing a pocket dump / EDC rotation… it would be cool to hear from others too , if you feel like sharing :)
I had mine already when I watched this, its a great tool. Can't wait for you to figure out how to get the screwdriver out without a struggle. the snap when opening the plyers is just great!
@@repairmanlevi9656 Dunno about that bro; just saw 3 other comments in here basically saying the same thing and that they will eventually need to do a full blown recall to solve the issue with the wire cutters at mass scale. I have noticed a lot of brands from Gerber to SOG have some models with less than optimal hardened steel for their wire cutter feature but I'm kind of shocked at how many comments I've seen about this Leatherman having the same issue with even soft metals like coat hangers. My p2 cutter works flawlessly so hopefully they can address it on the Arc in coming batches.
The little curved things at the top of the center tools can be used to flip the center tools out with 1 finger/hand, im sure you figured it out by now I tightened my handle pivots very slightly because they had some play and I threw some 5 or 10 weight nano oil in the tools and some heavy oil in the pilier and handle pivots. Its not perfect because I think the bit driver tool and bit set in particular needs a "bit" of work in a few areas 😂😅 but overall its still a good multi tool. (I think it should have a better heat treat on the bits, less play on the bits inside the bit driver and personally I was also disappointed the bit set they provide didnt include any bits that could be used to actually disassemble a pocket knife, at least none that I own.
Lucky you having the ARC. I'm thinking about getting it myself, only thing is I often use my MT's for carving. Anyway I was wondering if you would you be kind enough to test it on, say, just a piece of green wood, maybe an inch thick or so, up against the Wave? Please
@@soulnation4207 It's a well known issue due to a bad design flaw in the cutters. A gap produces pressure in a weak spot on them causing them to chip. It's a really bad QC mistake. It's the only Leatherman with the issue and it's the highest model lol.
Lol, I cant wait for the full review where MC knows how to get the middle tools out. The arc looks like the upgraded version of the p2 or p4 which were advertised as the one hand operated Leatherman.
Its really not much of an upgrade for an extra $100. Especially considering the defectively designed wire cutters that are breaking and will eventually need a recall

I really like Leatherman products but imho they dropped the ball with the ARC... Cutters broke not once but twice with just soft metal coat hangers. 1/2 a bit kit and no T6 or T8 bit Handles really flex side to side when squeezed tightly Scissors had issues with paracord All for a overly price $239 + tax/Shipping. I hope you have a better experience than I.
As a person that has carried a Free P4 for 4 years it was painful to watch your confusion on deployment 😅. Everything is designed for one handed use both ways.
I'm avoiding any Magnacut until I get answers about the scandal going on. They are shipping out sheets to makers with major inclusions and warping after heat treats. Guy is trying to expose them.
Is that happening to other people other than Survive knives? I've been waiting on a 5.1 or whatever it's called from them for over a year. He has made a few videos claiming problems from his steel supplier, but it doesn't sound like he's getting it from Crucible.

To the top with this comment! I have two free models, I think they're the k3 and k4. Took me a while to figure out how to get them out right.

As we used to say, back in the good old days: "RTFM!"
Maybe it's only common in Silicon Valley, California... 😏
spot on. I too was struggling until I realized I could just thumb them open

Watching you struggle getting the tools out while knowing you figured it out in a livestream a few weeks ago was quite entertaining 😂😂😂.
It took me a few minutes as well, to be honest…😂

I seen a few vids on this tool and the wire cutters break cutting a coat hanger which is very soft metal.
Must be a bad batch thing. Mine eat through coat hangers, no problem.

Look at the groove on the tange of the tools by their pivots, roll your thumb over it like a front flipper.
Use the indentions on the side near the top to get the tools out. Watch a video n youll see

you push on the base of the tool (at the top by the pivot) to pop the tools up
Is this magnetic like the free?
lucky, I'm pondering buying another leatherman after years of hiatus
Just image if MC turned the card over and saw the instructions on how to access the tools.
Only problem is the wire cutters shatter on soft metal lol. Must have messed up the annealing process
Wow they didn't grind a recurve into it, guess they pay attention when grinding the more expensive steels.
It’s weird but if you look at the tools you’ll notice a notch. Take your thumb and roll the notch and they should just pop out.
He's definitely a knife guy. Not quite sure about a multitool guy. Love'em anyway.

Pretty Awesome
You should review some more edc related items too !
I still think the leatherman eod mut is the most versatile
