A great song, sadly still needed. But Graham Nash looks and sounds terrific. Excited to be seeing him in a couple months. My silly question though…I thought he never wore shoes onstage (?)
I thought so, too, but we saw him in Ithaca, NY, on Saturday night (10/12) and he wore shoes. great show, Did this plus 3 encores. Finished with the great accapella Find the Price of Freedom followed by Ohio. Shivers.
How sad for Nash to be singing this song half a century later when war is celebrated more than ever and Americans and others are dictated to worship soldiers as heroes performing honorable service. The insanity of Vietnam actually made us love war more...
Oh my, how's the view from your aging ivory tower? While I am a person of peace, I also believe that we should all show appreciation to those who protect our country. Without them, we would be far more vulnerable to attack and wouldn't have a country we can safely reside in. Showing appreciation for those who serve in our military does NOT glorify war or violence, quite to the contrary. It helps keep the peace.
@@4orrcountry Talk about living in an ivory tower. War only fuels more war. Arming the country to the hilt means you value war and need wars to justify the military machine. Training us to unquestionably worship the military is to lose the lessons of Vietnam. Tearing apart draftees back then was wrong. But so too is worshipping all military today. Using war to keep the peace is an absurd philosophy. I am not ignorant to the reality that wars exist and a defense needs to exist. But what is missing is any effort to end the horror of wars fought for nations, or religions or oil or other stupid reasons. Believing that the military protects you and keeps the peace is one of the greatest lies in human history. Consider the probability that the military machine of the US guarantees attacks rather than prevents them. Military madness is a perfect expression. There is no valid use of military and wars. Vietnam was madness. So too is Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel and on and on. What has any of these wars resolved and can you really say there is peace because of them?
@@BLAB-it5un And Military Madness is moving us closer to Nuclear War.....A lot of people think its manly to kill, and then attack violence in society? It seems most people are pro war, very depressing,,,I'm sure If advanced civilisations were found they'd think humanity was crazy and they would be peaceful.
wild tales was a stunning album. honestly never liked him that much but gee WT was amazing. like many british musicians he rarely has anything to say, too polite. look at jagger's recent hackney launch. a total dud, nothing to say.

Excellent song and album
Military madness is killing my country
Imagine if he'd had all the Eagles doing five part harmony behind him.
