Hi Mike, great strategy beating S&P500 in that period and probably with a lower volatility given 50% allocation in Canada not to mention flexibility when it comes to withdrawing from the portfolio, but this strategy requires a lot of analysis, it’s not for an average investor.
Thank you. At one point, I was a bit behind the S&P 500 but when the tech slowed down, I quickly match it (or now I'm slightly ahead). As long as I'm not destroying value, I'm happy keeping the full control of my portfolio :-).
Hi Mike :) Love your videos.. Thank youuuuuu !!! I buy an equal share of XDIV and VEQT every two weeks !! I believe it reduces the volatilty! I will hold that for 20 years! Do you think its a good strategy?
Thank you for the update on your portofolio Mike. I am curious to know what you think about Dollarama. They've had a great year.

@ How about volatility, is your portfolio more volatile than S&P 500 ? Just wondering, thanks.
With some leftover cash I bought 1 share of brookfield a week or so ago. Its up like 8% already now I don't know if I want to add to it yet lol
haha! that was fast :-) but it could also drop as fast, though...

If you want to increase your exposure to the Canadian market (VEQT includes a Cdn portion), it's a good way to do it. Simple and it works :-)
Thank you for all your content. When you mention US stocks do you purchase them in $US or their Canadian dollar counterpart? Thank you
Hello Paul, I have a CAD and a USD LIRA account. Therefore, I buy US stocks in USD. I don't like CDRs since they come with (small) fees.
@@DividendGuy Makes sense. Thank you
Black Rock I never bought this and i don't know why. You cant own everything unless you buy the index and that doesn't interest me. Good vid.
