Personally in my own collecting, I had a "Jason moment" back then. Becoming a fan a 1988, when that Spencer's era hit, I went overboard, and then one day was like "why am I doing this?....I can't keep up anymore", so I unloaded all of my Reunion era-on merch. (Passed it on to a young kid just getting into KISS), so that felt good, but it's crazy that NOW....that era of merch, is once again "vintage". Absolutely loved this talk. The price gouging piece was amazing. Thank you for sharing. George seems super cool and grateful just to be a fan. That's the juice in all of this. Doing it, because it's fun. Take care.

great conversation. Collecting like you all said is finding that moment in time that meant something to you, and arriving at a time where you can buy it. Your right is is hard to share you favorite thing online sometimes when you know in the back of your mind that your going to get picked on or made fun of or be told "your not a real fan". If your door to KISSworld opened at 1989 then that's your KISS and that's what informs your likes or dislikes. I've always said I'm never gonna yuck on someone else's yum. Awesome video! I know a guy on our show that mainly collect just Eric Singer versions of KISS..... raises hand
I remember as a kid in 78 or there about going to this candy supplier where I lived and he had boxes of Topps baseball cards and being a baseball fan I wanted the box having never seen one before. It was a whopping $15 and my grandmother was having none of that. So I settled for a box of the Kiss cards, who I was a huge fan of, and went home a happy boy. Though I didn't get a complete set or the pic on the back of the cards but I had a box of Kiss cards. And the price for the box of Kiss cards? $5 plus tax brand new in 1977. To hear what George paid for them when he got his box and the price Jason quoted they are now blows my mind to hear. Crazy. If only there was a time machine. I would go back to that store and buy boxes of Kiss cards then boxes of baseball cards. Then I would go back to see my grandparents. Oh if only. Great show guys.

Yeah that Japanese Elder Picture Disc was crazy a lot of people missed out because of when they put it up for sale and people who thought they got it get a email saying they went oversold the limit.
