This is honestly way better than the 3D Netflix series animation. Your animation of the original spirit style to me just shows way more emotional expressions and just overall looks like a cleaner finished product. Thank you so much for this😁
Ahh I love this so much! As a child I could never get enough of Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. The 3D animated version was a huge disappointment for me, to be honest. They reused so many original concepts from the original movie, like the cougar/mountain lion scene. However, you brought them together so well. Great work, and keep it up!
A million times better than the Netflix rework. The plot of the new movies are still way off but you’re bringing back the original design and style. Makes it a little more enjoyable knowing that the original will never be forgotten

as soon as you showed the comparison i thought i'd see the 3d horse do some poor kick at the cougar. was not expecting it to HEADBUTT THE THING. i've never seen a horse headbutt anything with that much force. you definitely improved that bit lol
It's weird, right? the 2-d is ovbiously amateur, but it still looks better than the 3d I guess its just like they said 'computer efects will look outdated eventually, but a beautiful drawing is allways going to be a beautiful drawing'

Yours was more dinamic and realistic. Netflix animation is kinda slapped together then agian they probably didnt give the animators a good schedual or budget for quality work.
Honestly I think yours looks much better. It looks so much like the original and I don't really think they did Spirit justice by putting him in 3D lol. I think the original movies style looks so much better. Not only that but your framing of the shots and the subtle tweaks you did such as the eyes shrinking and the horse kicking with it's back legs instead of I think it used it's head in the original version make it look so cool!
So much better than the movie! I feel they should have made the animations smoother and the manes more free but you, have done that PERFECTLY! Amazing!
