12:55 What if your family member is the one standing inbetween you and getting treatments? I cannot afford infusions but there is a trust fund for me. My brother is the trustee. I asked him to speak to my doctor about the infusions recommended to me. He refused to make a phone call to my doctor and said that I just wanted to use the money to "get high on horse tranquilizers". I've had depression for 30 years and nothing has helped. Does anyone have any suggestions in dealing with this?
Thank you for your question. Feeling fatigued or sad after your therapy can be completely normal. While we can’t provide medical advice or speak to specifics of your care please speak with your ketamine doctor about this. I have session # 6 in a few hours. #5 killed me. Got soooo nauseous and dizzy and the whole session was just so dark. I felt awful for almost 2 days post. Needed quite bit of Zofran and Phenergan but it didn't help as much as it normally does. Going to go back to the same dose as #4.
It can be a hit or miss with these treatments, in terms of the experience. Finding the right dose, going in with a positive mindset, avoiding external input that may be negative, fasting for 3-4 hrs before the session, eating cleanly afterwards, and integration (talk therapy) afterwards are key to having a successful experience. Ive done several sessions now and they arent easy!
I’ve had 20+ infusions in a year. I take notes immediately afterwards about the trip, then take notes how I feel about the trip. I’ve dealt with issues I’ve avoided for 50 years. Done more work in the days after each infusion because the brain is calmer for that short period. Started exercising and eating better and breathing exercises… it’s paying off. Let doesn’t fix you, it gives you a means to help yourself out of the hole. Hope the best for you.
@@SammyEddie yeah, 20 in a year isn't much. Considering I did 20 in just over 2 months. And unfortunately, all the superficial self-help you suggested, I either do, or have done, and it has no bearing on my mental health. You're lucky yours was treatable through such simple means.
@@archangelarielle262 im confused. You said you did 9 sessions. Then you said you did 20 infusions in 2 months. Ive never heard of a dr who would do 20 infusions in 60 days. I saw in other comments you said you did esketamine. From my understanding esketamine does nothing for most people. Anyway. Hope you find some relief.
Is maybe being told you are getting a ketamine infusion being a good set up for it? Or is it a good idea just to slip it in there after the kidney bleeding that it causes and you need a kidney stone treatment at the same time… omg… the Aug 2022 study kicked off. That must have been very convenient.
Wait. So you own a ketamine clinic and you participate as an investigator to the NIH on the blind medical research studies? Like that? You realize they put me in that program without my will knowledge or consent. Then, wrote me out of the study. Then, ran the study again, when they realized, they can’t blame Frederick md. Dear anyone thinking of getting into one of these programs. The studies were more than flawed and this is the worst thing for you.
My friend uses ketamine. I thought he stopped bathing because he smelled so bad. But he did bathe. That horrific smell was the ketamine oozing from his skin. The odor is suffocating even when sitting outside with him in fresh air. He also went nuts and became mentally unstable and delusional. Also had to have prostate surgery. I don't understand how so many people say great things about this drug in their comments.
#14 infusion tomorrow, its been life changing
very helpful; thank you so much!

What happens if I have no desire to do anything after. I feel sad after. How can you take action with no insights. I take 600mg weekly

How are you today?
Tomorrow is my first ketamine infusion…this video helped but I’m still scared. Plus I’m 71.
We are glad you find our videos helpful. Hope your infusion went well!
Ive had 9 seesions and have had no benefits outside the trip itself being more preferable to this reality.
Are you doing therapy alongside your K therapy? Integration is so key.
@@bayleymacintosh5622 yes, multiple days a week, as it is mandatory. However, for me, it is useless.

i wish the docs would shut up- let the people share- so much more authentic

Maybe your friend just has shit genes and always had these issues no?
