Metal as a genre began in the late 60s/early 70s but Maiden helped define the sound, particularly British metal, in the early 80s.

@@LEANNxARI check out "Stranger in a Strange Land" from their 1986 album Somewhere In Time. It's loosely based on the Franklin Expedition that had ended up having their ships frozen in the Canadian Northwest Passage in 1845-1846 with many of the crews from HMS Terror and HMS Erebus succumbing to the harsh Artic conditions. You can find the video for it here on youtube and it showcases the band from that 1986-87 era.

Iron Maiden has been around since 1975. Dave Murray is the longest member besides Steve Harris. Bruce Dickinson started in 1982 after their other singer left the band. Other drummer, Clive Burr left the band in 1983, and current drummer, Nicko McBrain stepped in as the drummer. Adrian Smith came in about the same time. Then he left the band. New guy, Janick Gers replaced him. Then Adrian came back to the band. Instead releasing Janick, they kept him. He, Adrian and Dave are known by the fans as "Three Amigos". They share leads on each song.
My wife and I noted something similar when we were at a show for what would be the final Rush tour. You had people who had followed the band since the earliest days, alongside teenagers who were young but knew the early stuff as well as the more recent songs , and a mix of ages in-between.
You're pretty much getting 3 generations of fans at shows like this. I do home repair and not too long ago I was in someone's garage. The woman, who had to be in her 70's and by herself, was listening to Iron Maiden. I couldn't believe it. I thought I was being punked.
Heavy Metal was born mid-60s when Toni Iommi lost the tips of his fingers in an industrial accident. From then on he had to tune down his guitar so the strings wouldn't hurt his fingers so much, which gave us that deep, doomy sound of Black Sabbath.
@@mmestari Yes, you are technically correct, but its really not worth mentioning 2 guys that never appear on an album. If you want to be really technical, he is (currently) the 6th.
That bit you were trying to remember is just after the pilot, his son and the hermit have hauled the mariner into their boat. They think he's dead, but : I moved my lips ; the pilot shrieked and fell down in a fit. The holy hermit raised his eyes, and prayed where he did sit. I took the oars. The pilot's boy, who now doth crazy go, Laughed loud and long, and all the while his eyes went to and fro. "Ha, ha," quoth he, "Full plain I see - the Devil knows how to row!"
Thank you so much for reacting to one of my favourite Iron Maiden songs. What made the reaction so much better was that one of you knew the story behind the song so you were both able to get some context to the performance. Iron Maiden not only have one of the greatest vocalists of all time singing and acting out the lyrics in such a theatrical way, but also have exceptional musicians that create music that add to the story, even enhance it. I’ve always thought that they are the closest thing to genuine modern opera because they are master storytellers. Please check out more. BTW, I enjoyed this so much I’ve just subscribed. Keep up the great work!
Heavy metal was born in 1970 when Black Sabbath released their debut album, titled: Black Sabbath. By the way, early Maiden sound was influenced by the punk scene, so their first couple of studio albums had a more punkish sound to them.
I was a big fan of Paul Dianno. And learning to play Phantom of the Opera on guitar was that breakthrough song to more technical pieces. Underrated stuff.
I thought Mountain introduced the sound now known as heavy metal at Woodstock in 69. They were the first band that was too loud and to "heavy" on the ears. My mom was there and she said it was too much for most of here friends. I could be wrong. For sure though without Sabbath it would not have blossomed into such an amazing thing.
Along w/guitarists Adrian Smith/Dave Murray & founder/bassist Steve Harris are the longest tenured band mates. Drummer Nicko/vocalist Bruce joined 1981/82 & 3d guitarist Janick joined 1989/90
@@harrymiram6621 Steve has been around longer than any of them. He was the one who formed the band in December 1975. Dave has been with him ALMOST since the beginning, bbut Adrian didn't join until the second album. Plus, he was gone between 1989 and 1999, as you probably know.
Maiden have the formula down pat and their fans love it; it's timeless. They have fans from 8 to 80; every race, colour, and creed; from Asia to South America and everywhere in between. They tour regularly and pack stadiums everywhere they go for the plain fact that, after 45 years, they are still good at what they do.
@@hoopsmccann639 I've seen them on every Australian Tour since 93 (Damn you Covid cancelling 2020). I remember at the 2008 SBIT tour in Melbourne there was a group of 4 in front of us; Son, Father, Grand Father, Great Grand father - old boy banging away in his knitted cardigan. Gold!
They are still touring today, my daughter and I saw them live in August 2019 for the Legacy of the Beast tour. The tour was put on hold due to covid, but is starting back up summer 2021, up the irons.

@@wv1967 The studio versions are recorded with better equipment, they are edited as intended (or at least as someone intended), the performance is better, and the sound levels are better and they don't have excess noise. Live versions don't even have all the guitar parts. And in case of live recordings after Bruce's comeback, he has just lost most of his voice, and sounds like stifled version of himself.
@@mmestari Sure the sound quality is clearer, there are just certain songs where I prefer watching the live version due to the energy, speed, performance and power of live Maiden. And you're talking Bruce post 2000?! Some of his best live vocal performances are post comeback haha
That was a pretty good explanation from someone that knows a little about Iron Maiden’s history. I will try to fill in some on the band members. The band formed at the end of 1975 by Steve Harris and they went through a lot of changes before their first album in 1980. *Edit per comment below. The musicians listed below account only for those that have been on an official album release. Bass - Steve Harris (formed the band) Guitar 1 (far left) - Dave Murray (not original but joined before their first album) Guitar 2 (middle white guitar) - Adrian Smith (joined 1980 before 2nd album, left in 1990 and rejoined in 1999) Guitar 3 (far right) - Janick Gers (joined 1990 after Adrian Smith left stayed after Smith rejoined) Singer - Bruce Dickinson (second singer, joined in 1982 before the 3rd album, left in 1993 and rejoined in 1999) Drums - Nicko McBrain (second drummer, joined in 1983 before the 4th album) This tour in 2008 was a throwback to their classic 1984 tour for Powerslave which was recorded for Live After Death, that’s why they had the Egyptian stage. They change the curtain backdrop artwork for each song, but the stage remains the same.
@@mmestari as I said “there were a lot of changes before their first album in 1980”. For sake of keeping it relatively simple on a RUclips comment there is no need to go into into detail of the numerous people that were never on an album and in some instances only in the band for a few months. 99% of people could care less about the members that were never on an album. I was in the audience during the song. It was a outside venue and it was thundering and lightning and good thing the area where I was standing was covered. Behind me a few rows was where people was getting wet. This year Iron Maiden is nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Nice kitty . You should listen to hallowed be thy name live in 1982 . It’s a mind blowing performance. This particular concert you just played Bruce sounded strained and tired. The man is a legend
Glad to let you know that although there were a lot of lineup changes in the first few years of the band, the band you see in this performance is the classic lineup that was finalized in 1982. The lead singer (Bruce Dickinson left the band for several years, and so did the guitarist wearing the bandana (Adrian Smith), but both returned to the band in 1999 and the lineup has been the same since then. Also, the guitarist that likes to dance around (Janick Gers) who had replaced Smith when he left was not kicked out when Smith returned - instead they kept him on so they could play 3 part guitar arrangements and sound even closer to the album sound during live performances.
Are they still active today? Uuuh Yes? My love, they are one of the most active bands working today. They tour basically every year and we are expecting a new album soon... That would be their 17th studio album....
So first off I saw this tour back in May of 2008 in Irvine, CA. AMZING SHOW!!! Now, as a 13 year old back in 1984 I nearly ruined my brand new vinyl record of POWERSLAVE. When i took it home and played what would be the first time hearing this song and heard that section (16:53 of this video) where they galloped 3 times with the drums and then changed it up it just blew my mind. I immediately picked up the needle on the turn player and dropped on the record back to that spot like 10 times in a row. Like I said I nearly ruined the record because the needle would end up bouncing every time I placed it back on the record. I actually went back and bought the cassette tape the very next weekend. LOL Well done ladies and welcome to the Iron Maiden Family and a phrase you will see from Maiden fans, "Up the IRONS!" \m/\m/
steve Harris, lyricist and bass and founder of Iron Maiden got the name from the book by Alexander Dumas "The Man In The Iron Mask". Dumas wrote "Three Musketteers"
I am 52. Iron Maiden was my first concert ever and that was in 1983. This is the same lineup of members that were there in 1983, with the exception of Janick Gers, who joined in 1990. So it’s the 1993 lineup with one additional guitarist. I also saw them in 1985 on the World Slavery Tour, where they played this song when it was new and on the ‘Powerslave’ album. The drummer, Nicko McBrain, apparently loves his job, because he always appears to be having a great time. He’s an amazing drummer and he’s 68 years old. Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer, is quite an interesting fellow, being a pilot, (he flies the band around on tour in their jet, is Chairman of the Board, (or was), at Cardiff Airlines, has even done some stunt plane flying, as he owns a replica of the Red Baron’s Triplane. He used to be an Olympic level fencer, and beat throat cancer. And yes, they’re still at it. They had a studio album come out in 2015. I saw them live three times in 2016, twice in 2017, and twice in 2019. They just recently released a live CD for the 2019 tour, and are working on a new studio album. They really are an amazing band and they’re one of the best, (if not THE best), live bands out there, (though Alice Cooper is equally amazing live and Night Ranger puts on a fun, high energy, though less theatrical, show, too).
The line-up in the video is: Dave Murray, guitar (1976-present) Steve Harris, bass (1975-present) Adrian Smith, guitar (1980-1990, 1999-present) Bruce Dickinson, vocals (1981-1993, 1999-present) Nicko McBrain, drums (1982-present) Janick Gers, guitar (1990-present)
Depending on where you research and who you ask Black Sabbath was considered the first band to release a heavy metal song. They are considered a hard rock band in this era. For the time when they were formed (1968) they were considered as one of the heaviest bands. Now this is just what has been coined as mainstream origin of metal. I am sure there were many "metal" sounding bands around prior to that time.
With Iron Maiden since 1983, and still going strong. Me soon 51, I was 13 when I discovered them, so nowadays the age difference is not so big anymore, we are all old farts, Iron Maidens and I ! That was epic tour, saw this same show in Ratina, Tampere, Finland.

Founded by bassist Steve Harris, who is also Maiden's primary lyricist, guitarists Adrian Smith/Dave Murray are the longest-tenured band members. Drummer Nicko, vocalist Bruce are next in line & 3rd guitarist Janick is most recent addition
this is the most well known line up of the band thought they have had other singers and another drummer but for the most part it's been this line up since their 2nd or 3rd album . The singer here left the band for a few years while he followed his career as a commercial pilot for British airways . he still flies for British Airways when he is not touring and when they are touring he flies the Iron Maiden jet that you see at the beginning of this video.
Rock bands have been doing the dry ice smoke thing for so long, this song is so perfect for that stage effect. And we read this poem in Lit class in high school then this album (Powerslave) came out, I was blown away at the timing, they say they retired it but perhaps they'll bring it back for their upcoming tour, Bruce loves it.
Well done for enduring that ladies. The song always gives me goosebumps. Another great live track is "How Many Tears" by the band Helloween. It's on the pumpkins united tour. It has Daryl from The Walking Dead on guitar.
Been following Maiden since Killers, and last saw them live in '89...they have been the soundtrack of my life (and I'm sure to many others as well). They have touched so many people, been so successful and influential with very little radio airplay and almost no mainstream media support for the majority of their career. Very few bands like Maiden or Rush can truly say they never sold out, did it their own way, and on their own terms. Whether you like the music or not, you have to admire that.
If you have the time, you have to watch the documentary this live performance is from. They played 23 countries in 45 days by having their own plane piloted by the singer. The film is called Iron Maiden: Flight 666. When they play L.A., musicians from other big metal bands showed up to hang out and geek out over the band.
Iron Maiden are legendary for many reasons...most of which are already stated by other posters... But I didn't see mention of the fact that their singer Bruce Dickinson is one of the greatest vocalist in all of rock/metal... along with a couple of others for sure. Not to sell the rest of the band short as they are all really really talented. Some other great Maiden songs would be; The Trooper Hallowed Be Thy Name The Clansman Fear of the Dark Aces High And really...MANY more. And yes...if you had to use just 1 word to describe them live...it would be energy. Even in this video here that you did, I'm not sure the age of the other band members, but Bruce Dickinson was born in 1958, so he was 49 or 50 years old during this concert. That was 12 years ago and they are still touring today (well...would be if it wasn't for the lockdowns). FYI...that plane you saw landing at the very beginning ... was probably being piloted by Bruce Dickinson... he is a pilot as well that flies their plane!
Bruce Pilots their plane on tour, they have their own beer (Trooper Ale) and they play pickup football (soccer for Yanks) matches at all of their locations. A truly amazing band a HUGE worldwide following. The song is based on an old poem/story. Many of their songs are related to history or tell a story. Always an adventure...Alexander the Great, Where Eagles Dare, The Trooper, Powerslave, Fear of the Dark, ..."and the tale goes on and on and on!"
Man you gotta love this band, fantastic musical talent and a singer who can not only fly massive jets but was very nearly an Olympic level fencer, something like top 10 in Britain in his younger years.
Showing my age just a bit but i got to see them for the World Slavery Tour back on January 6th 1985 at the Richfield Coliseum in Ohio. It is one of the two best concerts i have ever been to (the other being Ozzy Blizzard of Ozz Tour May 11th 1981). I had front row left side of the isle and got to have dinner with them at a friends house because her dad was the regional director for Capitol/EMI records at the time. Bruce and the guys did a few impromptu acoustic songs while they were there and it was mind blowing to hear him sing in person. \m/ Rock on young ladies!!!

It's pretty much the original band from at least the '80s, plus a guitarist. This is from the "Somewhere Back in Time" tour. The singer, Bruce Dickinson, actually flew the band on a world tour (He's a Boeing trained pilot) where they played a couple of hits from every album. The 757 they used was called Ed Force One Flight 666. Look for the documentary. It's pretty cool.

@russwsoper She's still right. They don't release new material even nearly as often as they used to. It's been several years since the last studio album.
5:00 This is the original line-up of the Powerslave album + Guitarist Janick Gers (playing the black Stratocaster here), who repalced Adrian Smith (white Jackson guitar) at some point but didn't leave when Adrian came back. Why not, there's enough space on that stage. Singer Bruce Dickinson also left for a while and returned.
Powerslave, the title track is about the last moments of a power mad pharao. The album art is all about it. The only band member here not in that album is Yanick Gers. Bruce and Adrian left and came back.

51 here and my 21 year old daughter's been to Maiden twice! 6x for myself.
I thought I was being punked.
come out and play!!!
Iron Maiden has an awesome audience! So much energy going from the band to the crowd and the crowd to the band.
Heavy Metal was born mid-60s when Toni Iommi lost the tips of his fingers in an industrial accident. From then on he had to tune down his guitar so the strings wouldn't hurt his fingers so much, which gave us that deep, doomy sound of Black Sabbath.
1966 i believe
Blue cheer was the first metal band came out in 1966
Yeppers
No way!
The drummer is Nicko McBrain, and he absolutely loves his job!
He owns a bbq restaurant right by my house. He throws a lot of parking lot parties...awesome guy Nicko
I love that guy
This IS the classic lineup. Bruce is their 2nd singer after Paul Di'Anno. Bruce has been with them 30+ years
Everyone on the stage has been in the band for a minimum of 30+ years.
Oh wow that's awesome! Thanks for the info!
And he pilots their tour plane...
@Chuey's Mama
Bruce isn't the 2nd singer of Iron Maiden. Stop giving false information. Bruce is the 4th singer of Iron Maiden.
@@mmestari Yes, you are technically correct, but its really not worth mentioning 2 guys that never appear on an album. If you want to be really technical, he is (currently) the 6th.
My first Maiden gig was 1985. Still going to see them.
greatest metal band
Up the irons
Too Right,UP THE IRONS
Even the cat can't get enough Maiden. One of the best bands ever.
That bit you were trying to remember is just after the pilot, his son and the hermit have hauled the mariner into their boat. They think he's dead, but :
I moved my lips ; the pilot shrieked and fell down in a fit.
The holy hermit raised his eyes, and prayed where he did sit.
I took the oars. The pilot's boy, who now doth crazy go,
Laughed loud and long, and all the while his eyes went to and fro.
My cats love listening to Iron Maiden.
Robert,Sabbath is Hard Rock
@@thomasmarg4866 Depends on who the singer was.
don't let Steve hear you say they were influenced by punk lol
I thought Mountain introduced the sound now known as heavy metal at Woodstock in 69. They were the first band that was too loud and to "heavy" on the ears. My mom was there and she said it was too much for most of here friends. I could be wrong. For sure though without Sabbath it would not have blossomed into such an amazing thing.
The cat is preparing for the role of Pharaoh's cat in Powerslave song 🤔
Iron Maiden isn’t just a band but an experience! Started listening to them at 9 or 10 years old, I’m 42 now ❤️❤️
Dave Murray and Steve Harris simply doesn't get old. That's very strange... LOL
I'm mostly impressed by the bassist, the way he switches rhythm and tempo.
Steve Harris is a Beast!
They tour regularly and pack stadiums everywhere they go for the plain fact that, after 45 years, they are still good at what they do.
well said, brad! i've been to a lot of maiden shows. the crowd is diverse and everyone gets along. it's always a GREAT show!
Gold!
Glad I got the chance to see them live towards the end of 2019 before covid, such an awesome experience. Awesome reaction!!
Great too see a reaction by someone who’s actually read the poem. Great stuff!
They are still touring today, my daughter and I saw them live in August 2019 for the Legacy of the Beast tour. The tour was put on hold due to covid, but is starting back up summer 2021, up the irons.
My favorite band of all time. I’ve seen them over 30 times. Can’t wait to see them again when we can see concerts again
All that energy and they are in their 60s i believe. I wish I had that kind of energy!
Check out Fear of the Dark (Rock in Rio), The Trooper or Hallowed be thy name (live '82) for some more Maiden classics!
Still touring today! and hopefully still will be post-covid!
@wv196
The studio versions are better.
@@mmestari Looks like a case of differing opinions here then, no correct answer
@@wv1967 " Some of his best live vocal performances are post comeback haha"
No. Can you even hear?
That was a pretty good explanation from someone that knows a little about Iron Maiden’s history. I will try to fill in some on the band members. The band formed at the end of 1975 by Steve Harris and they went through a lot of changes before their first album in 1980. *Edit per comment below. The musicians listed below account only for those that have been on an official album release.
Bass - Steve Harris (formed the band)
Guitar 1 (far left) - Dave Murray (not original but joined before their first album)
Guitar 2 (middle white guitar) - Adrian Smith (joined 1980 before 2nd album, left in 1990 and rejoined in 1999)
Guitar 3 (far right) - Janick Gers (joined 1990 after Adrian Smith left stayed after Smith rejoined)
Singer - Bruce Dickinson (second singer, joined in 1982 before the 3rd album, left in 1993 and rejoined in 1999)
Drums - Nicko McBrain (second drummer, joined in 1983 before the 4th album)
This tour in 2008 was a throwback to their classic 1984 tour for Powerslave which was recorded for Live After Death, that’s why they had the Egyptian stage. They change the curtain backdrop artwork for each song, but the stage remains the same.

Dickinson is the 4th singer not 2nd. McBain is the 5th drummer not 2nd . If you area giving "info", get it right.
But your condescending tone and flexing on the comment is much appreciated by everyone I’m sure.

I was fortunate enough to go to this tour in LA. On the floor, middle of the crowd, 50ft. from the stage.
I lost my right shoe during 2 minutes to midnight!
Epic band, epic musicians, epic concert, and epic live show!
Great reaction ladies!!!
3 Guitarists girls, Dave Murry, been with them since 76, Ade Smith, since 78, had a break 1990 to 1999, and Janick Gerrs, since 91....

Yes! Of course they are active and still on the road!
In the old sea fairing days the albatross was a good sign if you saw one from the ship it meant following could take you to land. So if you killed it for food or what have you then the you cursed the ship. So what they'd do is the the albatross around your neck to appease the sea gods to not curse the whole ship just the dude who killed it.
I was in the audience during the song. It was a outside venue and it was thundering and lightning and good thing the area where I was standing was covered. Behind me a few rows was where people was getting wet. This year Iron Maiden is nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Enjoyable reaction. My first time checking you 2 out. I like how one of you were knowledgeable of the band and song, and was able to give some insight throughout. Also acknowledging the crowd and the band enjoying themselves which is refreshing to see. Not all bands look like they're having fun. I don't get it. You're up on stage, living the dream.
Still active. Still touring. Still making albums. Still the best Metal band in the world. 🤘🤘🤘
Yes they are active even to day up The Irons
If by active, you mean kicking ass!! Up the Irons

"Sepultura - Dead Embryonic Cells [OFFICIAL VIDEO]".
Congratulations on the channel!!!
The version from 1985's LIVE AFTER DEATH is superior in my opinion.
Whats the difference?
I like the slower tempo from this performance. LAD is so fast they killed Revelations, Just MO.
Yes i prefer the 1985 version also..this one is still good don’t get me wrong
Replacing Di'Anno with Dickinson was one of the most important events in heavy metal history.
Probably this cat is thinking :
"Well, where there is a mariner, there must be fish !"
Underrated
Lol
Nice kitty . You should listen to hallowed be thy name live in 1982 . It’s a mind blowing performance. This particular concert you just played Bruce sounded strained and tired. The man is a legend
By the way love your Cat
Best coment ever .. good one
The best concert I’ve ever seen is every Iron Maiden show I’ve been to. If you’ve never seen them live, you are missing out big time. Up the Irons!
Are they still active today?
Uuuh Yes?
My love, they are one of the most active bands working today. They tour basically every year and we are expecting a new album soon... That would be their 17th studio album....
Thanks for the info Adam!
Oh memories, that tour was the first time I saw Iron Maiden live and also was the first time they came to my country...
1983 was mine too with Accept opening, got spoiled that night
I loved watching this so much because I have read the entire poem, and it's nice to know someone else did too. :)
The line-up in the video is:
Dave Murray, guitar (1976-present)
Steve Harris, bass (1975-present)
Adrian Smith, guitar (1980-1990, 1999-present)
Bruce Dickinson, vocals (1981-1993, 1999-present)
Nicko McBrain, drums (1982-present)
Janick Gers, guitar (1990-present)
It is the first video I see of you and I liked your reaction. IRON MAIDEN It is my favorite band of all life. I already subscribed to your channel and also liked it. Greetings from Venezuela (01-13-2021).
Founded by bassist Steve Harris, who is also Maiden's primary lyricist, guitarists Adrian Smith/Dave Murray are the longest-tenured band members. Drummer Nicko, vocalist Bruce are next in line & 3rd guitarist Janick is most recent addition
They still sell out stadiums.
For sure buddy except obviously for the last year now more or less precise
Maiden is also the best band to ever walk the earth
Nobody has more fun at an Iron Maiden concert than Iron Maiden.
this is the most well known line up of the band thought they have had other singers and another drummer but for the most part it's been this line up since their 2nd or 3rd album . The singer here left the band for a few years while he followed his career as a commercial pilot for British airways . he still flies for British Airways when he is not touring and when they are touring he flies the Iron Maiden jet that you see at the beginning of this video.
Thank you ladies for checking out my favorite band ever.
That's really incredible John, thanks for sharing! We are enjoying learning about these guys 😊
Some other great Maiden songs would be;
The Trooper
Hallowed Be Thy Name
The Clansman
Fear of the Dark
Aces High
And really...MANY more.
Cat was like, "Hey, whacha guys watchin'?" 🐈
Bruce Pilots their plane on tour, they have their own beer (Trooper Ale) and they play pickup football (soccer for Yanks) matches at all of their locations. A truly amazing band a HUGE worldwide following. The song is based on an old poem/story. Many of their songs are related to history or tell a story. Always an adventure...Alexander the Great, Where Eagles Dare, The Trooper, Powerslave, Fear of the Dark, ..."and the tale goes on and on and on!"
Don’t forget Nikko the drummer is I believe 67 years old
Yes buddy he is 68 . 6th (if i am not making mistakes) June of 1952
I just saw them in September, they're still going VERY strong. Best show of my life!!!!
They are the goat and they haven't had many lineup changes over the years they've been actually pretty solid but saying that this is the greatest live band the greatest band The Goat 🤘🤘 and yes up until covid hit they were still touring 🤘🤘
They were the first band I ever seen live. I remember this song specifically, because the break in the middle section of the song lasted 15 minutes and was so amazing, and blew my mind.
Nicko McBrain, the 71 year old drummer just recently released a statement apologising to the fans for not playing as well on this year's Future Past tour for having a bloody stroke in January!
Saw the mighty Iron Maiden live back in 1980 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London...
Algorithms brought me here being an ardent Maiden Fan as well as watching reaction videos it's great watching people seeing and hearing music for the first time.
Your Cat stole the show for me. Watch the Tail from 12m41 15m20. and again at 16m 09 sneaking in. In my opinion the Cat's a Maiden Fan. Welcome to the Family.
Kind regards from the Midi Pyrénées to you and all fellow and future Subscribers 🥂
At certain points, the cat's tail was acting like a metronome for the song's tempo.
I was at this show in New Jersey!! What A Great show! Was on mushrooms and was really felling it during this song!! Up the Irons!!
"Are they still active today?" ."kinda".. ... err.. they're only touring the world, still selling out arenas globally moreso than 99% of other artists. You could say they're "kinda active"
@russwsoper She's still right. They don't release new material even nearly as often as they used to. It's been several years since the last studio album.
My wife and I were at this show in NJ in 2008!
That's amazing!!
This song is from the Powerslave album. That's probably why they have the Powerslave artwork.
most of the guys on stage have been in the band since the early to late 80's so have all been there for a few decades now
