Great video! I just got my Jupiter and went for my first print today... Man, did I screw up!!! Thanks for the clear set-up and walk-through. So many things I missed! Starting to clean up this mess now! 🙂
Thanks for making these videos! I Kickstarted the Jupiter and just unboxed it this morning. I plan to use it for making TTRPG assets and cosplay items. Would love to see some videos of your future prints!
6:31 - Nice setup video. I'm wary about this autofill system, especially with resins that have fillers in them. Would be nice if they added some method of agitation to keep the resin components from separating while sitting there in the static bottle, waiting to be dispensed.
@@KannonStudiosOfficial do you ever do private tutoring on printing items? Would you be willing to help me with my Ellegoo printer and set up and first print if I paid you? How do I get a hold k you?
Yeah, it's a lot! I have a completely closed off room and wear a mask when working. I have plans to set up ventilation soon. I haven't been printing much lately because of all the traveling. Thanks for the tip.
i have the Elegoo Jupiter also. Does your FEP get cloudy after using it, and it so what can be done to get it clear again? Thanks for sharing. (just subbed)
FEPs get cloudy with too much IPA cleaning or using dirty cloths. Best advice on that use microfiber towels with a small amount of IPA on them, simply wipe the resin away clean the edges of the vat and re-fill. Honestly do yourself this one favor, do not empty the vat unless there are any failures. This will save you so much time. Resin can sit in the vats for days and even then just stir it and go.
I just got my printer Monday and have attempted to level it multiple times and haven't gotten any print to stick to the build plate. I'm just trying to print the rook at this point and still no adhesion. Any tips?
I'm sorry to hear that. If you haven't reached out to Elegoo I can try and help. If the build plate is level, you could be running into issue with the slicer. To help we would need a little more information. What slicing program? What resin? Cure settings? Any of these could be a part of the issue.
@@KannonStudiosOfficial hey thanks for the reply. I figured it out. I put a raft on my support and changed my curing times. And I gave up on the rook file and printed one of my other files and got it to go. Oh and I also sanded the build plate. I want to get a flex plate
I would recommend removing the shipping protective film to avoid difficulties with print qualities (but you can leave it if you'd like). There is also a pre-installed protective layer thats under the black gasket tape - redditor UpsideDownTaco72 provides some explanation here: www.reddit.com/r/ElegooJupiter/comments/w1i4pq/the_jupiter_comes_with_a_screen_protector_so_if/
I've read different things about how to correctly install the wham bam XTR flex plate on the Jupiter. If I install this before leveling, when I level the plate, will the added thickness of this accessory cause the machine to crush my screen? If so, how do I prevent this from happening?
The play in the build plate is enough for the added millimeters. If you add it AFTER you’ll have tightened the leveling screws at that point and taken the play out which would then crush your screen. If you do it BEFORE you level like she says you’ll tighten the screws down once the play in the build plate is where it needs to be for the added thickness.
I've never used the "Set Z=0" function for bed leveling. I find good results from manually doing so, and haven't run into issues. To my understanding, that is for resetting the Z axis height on continued use of the printer... but again, just haven't run into the need for it.

Really helpful video. Just bought one of these for school and is our first resin printer, so this has been very useful for setting it up. Thank you.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful. :)

Yeah for sure! I still am going to use my squeegee before printing.
Thanks Kiki, good job! 😎
Thank you! 😃

Hope your using a ventilation system….. I learnt this lesson 😂 I’m running around 20+ machines, Very bad for your chest, especially ipa

2:08 don't remove this, it's a free screen protector.

hi just got the printer dose the auto feed cxut of after the print has finshed thank you
It just fills the vat as resin is used. It's not going to overflow. Hope this helps!
hi im using my ellego jupter but when its printing its very loud im using chitobox
I'm not sure i understand the question. Using chitubox shouldn't matter for how loud the printer is.
