Thank you so much for this solid review of the Jupiter series. I was in the kickstarter for the original Jupiter, but life happened and I wasn't able to get it. After watching your review and comparison, I am almost glad I ended up having to wait. Everything you're saying sounds like the Jupiter SE is an improved unit all the way around. Again, thank you so much for the info!
great video. I really like the auto resin system. Hopefully it will work on their other resin printers like the Saturn 3 Ultra. Is it compatible and do they sell it separately?
Is The VAT on the Jupiter SE compatible with the Original Jupiter? I don't like the extra notch sticking out of the original Jupiter for the bottle placement. I'd rather have a simple VAT.
I haven't seen any videos comparing the Saturn 4 Ultra vs Jupiter, The build plate size doesn't seem that much bigger on the Jupiter. Which would you reccomend using considering the Saturn 4 Ultra has such a high resolution?
One of the good things that the Jupiter had was its front opening lid which they removed and I find it almost criminal. It's easier to have front space than to have 1 meter of vertical space to be able to lift the lid and then find a place to put it. Another opportunity would have been to put an 8K or 12K LCD rather than a 6K that the old one also had. They didn't make a more affordable printer than the Jupiter, but as with the Phrozen Transform, the Jupiter will no longer be made, so once the remaining units are sold, it won't be found anymore. I say this with certainty given that it has been sold out in Europe for over 2 months and by writing to Elegoo, they replied that it will never be possible to buy it from them.
Honestly this printer was an option for me but to the end I take the Uniformation GK Two. I dont understand why Uncle Jessy dont have video about this machine
Would be nice if you added some more data in the print view, like, resin temp. weight, times and support settings! (yes i've had heavy ones drop of the plate with non infill prints!)
The SE is my first elegoo product, and thus far I have not been happy. I ordered the SE on Feb 13th, showed up on the 16th. shipping was very fast, to fast because it arrived damaged. the internal mirror was shattered and the LCD does not work. to my surprise there is a reflector mirror inside and not a LED type light source like on the original jupiter. Customer service has been slow to help but have gotten back to me in time. I own mostly Anycubic resin printers and wanted a change and I have been disappointed as a new customer with a new product. Hopefully it all works in the end.
Just got my first 3D printer as a Christmas gift, and I wanted to say thank you for your videos! They have all been super helpful and have made me more confident in my own 3D printing journey. Seeing a printer as large as this one compared to my own (I have the Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra!) is so cool. The sheer size is nothing short of amazing! Also so intimidating! I already want one just so I can do massive prints lol. What a miracle of technology!
What slicer did you use for these? My cones of calibration took an hour. Is it possible to share your complete slicer profile to patron, not just the resin profile?
Automated vat *emptying* is enough to make me change my mind about electronic pump-based filling systems. I think the pet water system is perfectly fine for auto filling (largely because it radically reduces the number of moving parts to break), but for emptying... Yeah. This is where it's at.
wondering, im seeing that one hose on the resin feeder is transparent (the one that goes into the bottle on the outside of the printer, wouldn't that be a risk curing the resin in the hose when it catches day/sun light over time if there is a window in the room?
How much more expensive is it to print with resin instead of FDM? When I want to print a vase mode square box - does it take as long as a complete sculpture like in the video?
Hay Jessy, just got my elegiac Jupiter se, and I’m digging this printer, are you leveling your printer with the paper or leveling in the vat? Great videos, learning a lot about how these elegoo works.thank you
Would you happen to know if the SE vat is compatible with the regular Jupiter? Would love to have the option to get a vat without the auto resin feed notch jutting out.
I have the original Jupiter for printing engineering prototypes. Because the z-axis wobbles significantly, a simple user upgrade I have done is to brace the axis, attaching it to the top of the metal enclosure. Does the SE z-axis wobble too? Could it be braced?
I got the original jupiter for Christmas from my awesome wife, and I'm very happy with it. But do you know if the resin draining system will be sold separately, haha?
The lid is enough to push me to Uniformation’s printer. Why can’t Elegoo see the light and make our lives so much easier like Uniformation’s insanely great design?
Same my last resin printer was amazing granted, all I had was an anycubic mono x 4k, I loved it! Till I think, the screen might be damaged started getting on the very back corner build plate a strange perfect rectangle shape same height as each model I changed usbs. Nothing fixed it so I’m waiting for when a large format flip printer comes out or just get the uniformations printer.
Now why didnt they add wifi capability? Couldn't have been that much more expensive. I haven't yet jumped into resin printing yet but I would like to. Each year they are getting better and better performance with more features. I wonder if the 51 microns makes that much difference compared to the smaller printers with a smaller micron set up? Elgoo is certainly improving their products.
I nearly bought this then thought sod it, go big or go home and ordered the Phrozen 8ks! And I think their pump will also empty the vat (although I don't have the machine yet)
I know your mic can't be that bad. If amplifying it, turn that off. Just adjust the input volume only. Then if your mic is where the camera is, hang some clothes on the wall behind it or some the moving blankets. Or just buy one those fold out sound isolation attachments for mics. Then see if its bidirectional or omnidirectional mic, to make sure its in correct position. Sounds like over amp/gain though.
If it would not be too much trouble, could someone who has the printer kindly share a printing setup that they have used? I am a newbie and would appreciate any advice on how to achieve better adhesion. Thank you in advance for your help.
Is the tank compatible with the original Jupiter? I can't find this info anywhere, but I'd really appreciate if someone can help on this, I'd really like to use the new tank over the original for the OG Jupiter, the tank comes with a blackout lid I think

If you don't clean it out between color changes, would it cause the different colors of resin to get mixed up?? I'm really new at this, so please don't think that I'm really stupid for my questions.
