    Fantastic video. The techniques are great but the way you explain them makes everything come alive. First time viewer but now subbed. Thank you Matthew.

      These ones definitely require some practice, but hopefully it shows that with some practice music can be quite formulaic sometimes 😊

    For those who didnt understand,
    If you wanna get stronger, you must train with not just yourself, but with your beyblade too.
    A blader chooses their bey, and the bey chooses thr blader, you dont use it, you fight together! As one!

    • @matticawood
      @matticawood  9 дней назад +3

      As a kid I used to be a strong beyblade contender 😏

    thats not just how to impress people, thats also how to improvise things easily. Lets say you wanted to play two songs back to back, You can't do that, you need a way to link them. This is a very good piece of knowledge that you casually drop.I have been looking so long for this. Next step : key changes

      I try to make sure that the techniques in these kind of videos aren’t just faking it and actually help people learn 😊

    I honestly don't care about impressing guests I just don't want the constant stage fright the moment anyone enters the room thus reducing my ability by 50% on the spot. How about a fix for that :)

    • @matticawood
      @matticawood  9 дней назад +2

      Performance anxiety is tough, I know what you mean when you say it reduces your ability! Il make a video on it, but the best way to get over performance anxiety is to “play successfully with an audience”. Which means playing easy music well with an audience, that way you will build evidence for yourself that you are capable of playing well in front of people 😊

    I start from a white key but the matching chords on my left hand end up to be white keys

    This is starting to sound like Stephen Ridley levels of cheating

    • @matticawood
      @matticawood  9 дней назад +4

      Wow…that’s a deep cut 😂 Stephen Ridley teaches that learning the piano takes one week, proceeds to play triads and bashes the piano with no skill charging several thousand dollars!
      Slightly different from teaching legitimate theory and techniques like arpeggio patterns and blues scales that take time to practice - for free 😊
