- From Season 4 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 5: The Saga of Andy Burnett, Part 2, "Andy's First Chore" which originally aired on October 9th, 1957, starring Jerome Courtland, Jeff York, Andrew Duggan and Slim Pickens. The second episode begins with the Mountain Men teaching Andy to ride like an Indian and to use a bow and arrow. Jack Kelly joins the group, warning them that a band of men led by Bill Sublette is nearby. The Mountain Men become suspicious that the newcomers are attempting to learn the location of their private trapping grounds. Several encounters contribute to a growing dislike between the two groups, which increases when Andy outwits Sublette's men and is able to get several traps the Mountain men desperately need.
I recognized Slim Pickens horse from a lot of his movies , it’s to bad they don’t make movies like theses anymore
The Disney company sure went down after Walt died
Well, there have been some positives since Walt departed. It is disappointing that so much of the content he produced is not widely available…it’s my pleasure to seek it out and post these rare gems!!

A men
That gray horse was extremely well trained the two of them . Slim and his gray horse worked the rodeo circuit when not working shootings films. I can't tell you how hard it to stay on a horse while allowing your self to bounce that high while it bucks. Slim was a true horseman .

Pretty cool to see old andrew duggan when he had hair.I remember him from episodes of 12 oclock high to episodes of Chips,really one of my favorite actors....And didnt that horse have me laughing,that was pretty funny stuff.I played cowboys and indians as a kid...I wonder when kids stopped playing that..
always liked Andrew Duggan and this is way of everything else he ever did

Great ear!!! It formed the idea of “Serengeti Serenade” which was then used in Ford’s Magic Skyway Pavilion at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair (specifically the International Gardens exhibit). It was then adapted for the opening titles of The Jungle Book!

Yes!!!! And this predates World's Fair compositions by Buddy Baker. Definitely reused material from the pipe-smoking scene for the fair...and Jungle Book! You'll hear this theme anytime the Indians are engaged in some sort of spiritual activity!
