- The Saga of Andy Burnett, starring Jerome Courtland, Jeff York, Andrew Duggan and Slim Pickens. Episode 4, "The Land of the Enemies", originally aired on February 26th, 1958 on Walt Disney Presents. Andy and his friends continue their journey to Taos, New Mexico. The experienced travelers among them are nervous, for they know they're now in Indian territory. Their fears prove to be well founded when they are taken prisoner by a band of Indians.

In saw these when they were originally broadcast back in the 1950's. The Disney trademark of quality in both production and writing is still evident. I'm sorry that the color hasn't survived better. When these were shown in analog on the Disney Channel over 20 years ago, the color was perfect. Still, I'm glad to see any Disney production available to the public.
These classics deserve a full restoration. However, I’m happy to upload here in this condition…still very watchable!

When DISNEY produced Quality with great actors and scripts. Slim Pickins was one of my favourite character actors. As HOLLIS WOOD in 1941 THE MOVIE, he was a riot.
Based on the book The Long Rifle, by Stewart Edward White. It's one of my all-time favorites.
Book one of Saga of Andy Burnett.
I first read it as a teen, and off and on again for the next 60 years.
I collected over 40 titles by White, and they are some of my most treasured books.
I hope to find the rest of these episodes. The last time I saw them was 1st run on
Walt Disney presents.
This is very real and well made so far. Good characters. Just 15 minutes in and really liking it.
That’s great! I just watched it for the first time a couple of weeks ago! Was thrilled! I love Jeff York and Jerome Courtland was outstanding! Slim Pickens and Andrew Duggan add a lot as well! Very entertaining!
