- Training for the TDS at UTMB episode 4. As you sit here watching our 4th episode in our short series where we follow my preparation for my goal race this year - the TDS at UTMB, we'll be in the Adventure Bus making our way to the Eurotunnel to start our adventures. Just before we packed up and left on our road trip, I thought I had enough time to squeeze in one last long run in the UK. I wanted to get a bit more distance and elevation in my legs so I hooked up with some of the TNT crew, and we went for a run on some beautiful inland trails around Zennor. In the video I also give you an update on how my training's been going, how my body recovered after Endure24 and Salomon Serpent Trail 50k, and we also talked to some of the crew and found out what they've been up to over the last month.

@@Run4Adventure I think there are more ultra races here than practically anywhere....all year long. We certainly have the space and terrain for it. You guys should visit this colony one day:)
Love these Cornwall running tourism adverts, especially the New Zealand cabbage tree at 19:19, aka Cornish palm. We have them in our garden down here in NZ.
Looking good for TDS Loyd, great video as always. We spend far too long in the Moomaid cafe when we’re down in Cornwall drinking coffee and eating cake rather than running!!

nice one Loyd. Your training looks in top shape! You’ll be into France by now, exciting! 🙂 Gutted for Scotty, but wow what an effort on the Plague. I thought of all the runners that weekend as it was super hot & those coast paths are brutal in the heat.
I got some grief for wearing a tee for a race I didn’t complete, but I wear it still for your reasons “a reminder and a kick up the A to get the training done”

Not sure if you saw my reply from the other clip Paul but The Plague was hot and humid, even at night. I dropped at Carhays with a pulled hamstring that had been playing up since E24.
I have Dartmoor in a Day and North Coast 110km coming up next.

@@ianl4518 darn, sorry to hear that Ian. The conditions must have been brutal, I’ve had it humid on that race too and it makes it so tough. Good luck in the 110 and Dartmoor though. Hopefully a tad cooler!! Not sure Loyd will have it cool in Chamonix though until he hit’s those mountain tops 🙂👍

Tell Scotty not to feel so bad. i dropped from The Plague at Carhays on the way out! I was 40 mins ahead of cut off but my hamstring went bang just after Gorran Haven (man that GH cut off is tight!). It was certainly humid, even at night.
