Good review. Practical information is presented that is based upon the experience of the presenter. Useful information is presented in a friendly and personable way. I especially like his telecaster. This pickup sounds great in this guitar and this is the type of sound I like for the 'neck' full size humbucker in my telecasters. I have a bridge black SD invader as the neck pickup in my white standard mim tele that I purchased at the Nashville gc years ago. A new black pearl pickguard and a Fleor alnico hot rail bridge pickup have rounded out my nice telecaster. The aftermarket invader might be interesting to cpheck out. I also like the x2n and my superdistortion chrome neck pickup. The superdistortion (sd) is also a great pickup for some of this type of thing, good overdrive.

i have a cheap guitar and got to say that Fleor pickups have been a great investment for me to keep playing, i ordered a pre-wired pickguard with HSS configuration, the bridge pickup is not a high-resistance pickup as it only has 8-9k ohms so i am getting a 13-14k in order to get more gain and output.

For a sound demo, if you're using an amp modeller maybe just give us the direct sound from that? The way you had things set up, the camera mic was picking up a lot of the guitar's acoustic sound in the room.

As the ad for these pickup already said they were wax potted one should not have to do that process again. Here again these are very inexpensive pickup so you do get what you are paying for. I also bought a set of Dragon Fire rails which sell for $89.00 for a matched set properly balanced impedance pickups which are better not going to say the will replace your big brand name pickups anytime soon. These are good and I can’t complain about the quality of sound they produce but just not something a gigging musician would use. I am looking to work with these and try to make them usable in possibly another project guitar as some point but the purpose of this video is to give those a real look at what you are getting. I bought these because of other videos I seen and I did like the sound but no one said anything about the microphonic of these pickup. Just want the buyer to be informed. These sell all over eBay and I only paid $26.34 to the door for these so not really complaining just want to be informative to other buyers. Sorry I want to do a video on the Dragon Fire rails but I have been down with a health issue for a while now and hope to be able to make a video with the Dragon Fire rails as well. Thanks for you comments and hope to get something out there soon

@@kryptik6935 thanks for asking, I have been in and out of the hospital over the past year and a half, was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called myasthenia gravis . Unfortunately in July of 2022 I had a major mg crisis which landed me in the hospital for 4 months and also because of multiple intubations have damage my vocal cords do I can’t talk very well right now. How to get my voice back so I can share some of the other goodies I have got since doing these videos. These were kind of my test videos and very raw and I hope to put out some better ones once I get back to it. I have some new awsome cheep guitars, pedalboard, and some more pickup mods that I have done as well as the expensive USA fender acoustiasonic that I purchased. Some computer software and keyboard setups. Hope to be back soon but it’s gonna be a long road to recovery but thanks for your concern hope all is well.

In Memphis every pawn shop has no stock and when I walk in to see beat up pieces of much needed care going for more than brand new it is a shame. They aren't even vintage. Craigslist is worse with rusted out pieces of junk, with dry rotting wood, etc..., going for 300+. Thanks to Covid, the global shortage, and the global demand we just went through I can't get new or old now due to not being there are at scalper prices.

could you not just pot the pickups yourself to get rid of the microphonics?

Yes I shop around my area and still am able to find some half way decent deals but I have to agree with you there is a lot of junk that is trying to be sold out there for way to high of price. I’m not buying a fixer upper for over $100 just makes the investment way to costly to even make it worth the build. I generally invest a couple hundred into most of my mods and come out with very nice and excellent playing guitar with full setups done on them. Profit isn’t great but satisfaction of getting someone a really great guitar is worth every bit. I have been doing guitar tech work for several year with all the proper tools and equipment to get them done right and ensure a guitar that plays and sounds like it should cost a lot more. Every guitar has potential but you have to have a good starting point and 300+ isn’t it unless the electronics are of good quality which on lower end guitars generally isn’t the case. I think at this point the most I have invested on a complete mod is around$450 and that was a complete gut job. Only original part used was the body which was solid wood and not laminate. Replaced neck pickups all wiring switches and pots, as well pickguard for a shielded one and tuners everything swapped out for USA built parts complete bridge setup and intonation done with a Peterson 520 strobe.
