  • In this video I demonstrate mowing after updating to the March 2024 update. WIFI and 4G are still dropping. You can see that in the screen recording of the app. I'll do a separate video demonstrating the loss of signal. This was supposed to be fixed in the March update. I did find out that the RTK might also need an update. I'll try and figure out how to update it's firmware.

    I received "Zip" as we refer to him. Last week, March 20th was a super warm and sunny day. I wasted no time and get his charge base and RTK installed. The next day, I walked him around the property and laid out 3 different zones (areas) and then turned him lose. He mowed again this morning on a planned task. I love it. It's stress off my mind and so happy with him. I was paying over $1500 a year in lawn service because I can't.

      I call mine Lucky Louie, as he had issues when I first got him, but instead of sending him back, I found work around solutions :)

    Thanks for your post, and please keep the reviews coming, I really want to purchase this same model but just not sure bugs are worked out yet. We use iRobot vacuum and love it, but has definitely improved with the newer models. Overall are you comfortable having the mower mow when you are out of town? Or is it still to buggy? Also do you have to pay any extra fee for the 4g connectivity?

      I’ll do an impression video soon. I am happy with it, but like I told them, I wish I had known I was a beta tester. It’s definitely not 100% baked, but I have 0 problems leaving it to mow while I’m gone.
      The 4G is an extra charge by your provider each month. It’s $25 with TMobile. I pulled the SIM out of my iPad.

    Why would you have sprinklers sticking out of the ground?!?!?

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  3 месяца назад

      Those are Septic Tank Sprinklers. They push out as much water as they can as a fast as they can. We had problems with our septic stopping because the grey water tank was full. We'd have to wait for the sprinklers to catchup, before we could take a show or use the toilets.

    I ordered a Luba2 10000
    Didn’t know it, but found out after setting it up and mapping, I was sent a 1000.
    The hex bit they sent did not fit the bolts.
    Had to take it apart and pack it all up to return. Of course, a bolt was stuck/stripped and, of course, I couldn’t fit it in the box like it came
    ….I just knew it would be too good to be true

      That's terrible. Someone said there wasn't a difference between the models, that it was just a software thing. I guess they were wrong. Did you get another one? I tried the Ecoflow Blade, but after 2 duds, I decided to order this one.

    Is this your first robot mower? I'm curious about all the grass clumps all over the yard, I was always under the impression robot mowers didn't leave those because of how often they cut or something?

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  5 месяцев назад +1

      First robot , yes. Grass has to go somewhere, so it leaves the grass clippings in the middle between the blades. The blades cut toward the middle and the grass piles up there. If your grass is tall, it’ll leave the clumps for you to deal with. I think that is why they are coming out with the mower with a bag. Yuka Yuma something like that.

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  5 месяцев назад +1

      There is no side shoot and the blades do not spin fast enough to throw clippings like a normal mower.

    What kind of run times are you getting from the 5000? Watching your video it looks like your getting more from yours than mine is getting. From full charge leaving the base to the 15% return for recharge, im getting about 90 minutes.

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  5 месяцев назад +1

      I’m getting around 2 hours I think. I haven’t timed it, but one of my videos was while it was mowing. I think that screen record was 2 hours.

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  5 месяцев назад +1

      It was in the garage because of storms last night. I sent it out to mow 9041 Sq Ft today beginning with 89%. It mowed 114 minutes before reaching 14% and heading back to charge. So if I "mathed" correctly, that's 1.52 minutes per battery percentage.

      @scottysize Thank you for your reply, sir. That's not terribly far off from my numbers. I believe my L25K has gotten a bit better. I'll have to get a timer going on the next run. Also had an issue with the Luba sitting on the dock, rolling right off and immediately falling to 90%. That also has gotten better. Now around 97ish. I'm assuming the lithium battery is becoming a bit more conditioned after a few cycles🤷‍♂️

      I have two 5000's and one of them has lost a lot of time since the last update. One can mow for close to 3 hours and the other can barely make 45 minutes on a full charge.

    Hi, how great will this robot work if no 4G is used?

    • @scottysize
      @scottysize  4 месяца назад +1

      It just depends on how good your WiFi is outside. It’s really for tracking the unit while it works. The unit stores the map inside, and it has its own GPS, so it can track itself if it loses WiFi. The RTK is the part I haven’t really figured out what it’s for. My unit loses the RTK all the time, but it still works fine.
