His son must know as must the foster parents must know there is a spark of the divine in all of this tragedy. Good for all of them for their response to it. I really love the boy's adopted family, they are clearly wonderful people, encouraging him to talk to his father. Perhaps the remainder of his life will bring him the peace of mind and sense of belonging he so deserves. The government and the greedy think that those who serve should be used and thrown away and that life is cheap. The VA is a mess and nothing is being done. There is a price for negligence-Karma.
It was really so amazing to see Donald Gould having this one time chance to reunit with his long lost son after 15 years without his son in his life. I do hope that Donald goes all the way with the rehap and that he clean his act up, and then he can start getting to know his son again. I hope they will be given privacy, and will be able to find a workable relationship between them all. At least now the son knows how his father has always loved, and still loves him. Sometimes an even bigger struggle is trying not to commit suicide because things are so bad for you. I wish this man all the strength in the world to stay sober and keep up the relationship with his son. For an addict this ultimate struggle will last you for the rest of your life
