That's exactly what I was thinking... I know he got a haircut and got help from people but the biggest issue I was assuming was his issue with substances. That needs to be taken care of 1st and foremost he needs somebody to help him get through the tough times and make sure that he stays away from any thing that could be tough for him to resist. Obviously he is a very strong and determined man but hes dealing with a different type of beast. I wish him all the luck in the world and hope him and his son can get a relationship together again and he is successful and safe. He deserves it all. Stay motivated sir and be vigilant... the demon is right around the corner at all times and you need to stay strong and determined. your life is definitely worth living. The most important thing is that there is a space at a rehab to go to and having the mental , emotional and medical help be available as well . Plenty of people want the help , but they either cant find/get a bed in a rehab , cant afford to pay for it , cant get mental health help , cant pay for it .

I'm 18 and I've been homeless on my own before for just about one and a half years. A lot of these people have talent and living in maui, there's alot of homeless talent. some of them even helped me get noticed with fire dancing and ukulele playing while singing. I traveled around the island singing and dancing and it got me to Seattle. I'm about to do street performing here (:

It's people like him that we soldiers find ways to help others suffering home and abroad. Making sure if a life is in danger we help them recover. Never met him but met other veterans going through tough times and found ways to get through the suffering.

That life coach is a huge reason why he was successful in reintegrating. Probably the best life decision he made in a long time to let her help him.
