The software used to design the aircraft is known as "FLYOUT". It's an early access game with little content currently available on it.

Its like simpleplanes 2
When will it release? Anytime soon or years to come?
RUclips says it's KSP 💀
@@Skibidy_rizzler_ yea lol
I hope it becomes available soon, i'd love to buy it and try it out
Looks a lot like a fighter that would be designed in the 1950/1960s
its like if you took a SR71, made it smaller and more fighter jet-ish
He did tell the AI to use fighters that were made in the 70's , so more than likely there were designed in the 60's
@@noyankucuk8667 It's a bit like if someone wanted to make a replacement for the F-104 Starfighter and had access to the SR-71 production line.
@@noyankucuk8667 So, the A-12?
No, if this was made in the 50s would 20 times more cursed
This thing actually looks like a pre-Tomcat US Navy VFX concept.
Tomcat but soviet
Just wanted to comment this
@@madfox285 Lol, lucky to see I'm not the only one who thought of this first

As a huge aircraft fan, I can see so many different aircraft mixed into this one, and I love it, make more, PLEASE!
Iam a subscriber to your channel =))))... I love planes more than you. Change my mind!!!.
Yea i think he should make another video on ai and aviation
Me too
True
I can see the iconic engine design of SR-71 Blackbird in it
The Aircraft looks like a SR-71, F 15 and a F 14 mixed together
Edit: LETS GO 1K LIKES THANKS
more like 2 mig-21s
I was thinking the same thing
3 of the coolest aircraft
So it's the F-100 then?

@@SpaceBattleshipYamato-ps2jc yes
Looks like you threw the Felon's wing profile on an SR-71, also sort of seems like ChatGPT was also just trying to get you to make an SR-71.
i would say more eagle looking wings
It might have some f-104 genes considering the wing load
@@_Peperek My thoughts exactly
The fuselage and body lift concept is basically an F-14, and the wings are F-15.
Do you even know which fighter the felon is the real name for it
Give the AI a 5 or 6 Gen airframe to base some of its concepts on. Thrust vectoring could help the turning rate, conformal fuel tanks could help range...etc.
Overall a very interesting video, went straight to the point with no stupid long intros or product plugs.
If you pause after he feeds the flight test "data" into the AI, it actually recommends installing engines with thrust-vectoring capabilities.
Thrust vectoring is good for nose authority, AoA, and high AoA/post stall maneuvers. It's not good, actually detrimental, for turn rate due to the increased drag as a result of increased AoA. Lower wing loading, or higher thrust (which this aircraft does not lack), would be the best solution to increase sustained turn rate. I do agree with you on the quality of this video, and conformal fuel tanks.
We need more content like this
Agreed

This is honestly the most interesting video i've seen this entire month, new concept, test flights and all, honestly you deserve a LOT more subs!
2000s: AI will take over the world and enslave humanity!
2023: Can an AI build a fighter jet?
Is it going to kill us or help us?
It's going to help us kill each other :D
Neuro Sama doesn't kill. That ai is just fucking sassy
"It is difficult to predict with certainty how AI will evolve in the coming decades, and whether it will ultimately have a positive or negative impact on humanity. However, it is important to note that AI is simply a tool created and controlled by humans, and its impact will ultimately depend on how we choose to use it.
AI has the potential to bring many benefits to society, such as improving healthcare, education, transportation, and many other areas. It can help us tackle complex problems and make better decisions. However, there are also potential risks associated with AI, such as job displacement, privacy concerns, and the possibility of AI systems being used in harmful ways.
To ensure that AI is used for the benefit of society, it is important to prioritize responsible development and deployment of AI systems. This includes ensuring that AI is designed and used in ways that align with human values and ethical principles, and that appropriate safeguards are put in place to prevent unintended consequences or misuse of AI. With responsible development and use, AI has the potential to greatly improve our lives and solve some of the world's most pressing problems." -ChatGPT

@@NotOrionGD well as they say go straight to the source and ask the horse
This really reminds me almost exactly of the twin tail Fairchild FX design proposal for the F-15 competition. Also very similar to the McDonnell Douglas model 265 but without the canards or all moving surfaces
The Fairchild FX looks like an F-16 and a F-14 had a baby
F-15 wings, F-14 body, SR-71 engines
amazing video man, you deserve more subs and likes❤
absolutely
F/SR- Eleventyteen
If you have access yo ChatGPT-4, you can input an image of the aircraft and ask it to improve the design. This way the AI has more control of the design of the plane
How can you upload images ? I have ChatGPT 4 but can't
@@JayzsMr right now I think you can’t directly upload a picture you have to send chatgpt a link of the picture. Idk though
@@maulidonda nope, public doesn't have access to the multimodal model yet
@@maulidonda can gpt4 access the internet? i dont think it can
@@JayzsMr i mean there is gpt-4 with browsing but it is in beta on a waitlist if i remember correctly
Considering how it called for a delta-wing configuration, I was actually kind of expecting some weird hybrid of an F-14, and a Mirage 2000, rather than what happens when the SR-71 gets the F-15's wings and the 104's fore-end
Amazing video, I kinda hope this could be made into a series. Like a versus series where AI builts a fighter to counter Mig-19, F-16, Mirage III, etc.
I just found your Channel and hope to see more stuff like this in the future!
Also I would like to see more questions, like canards, tail configurations (angles), wing configuration (top, low, tailless delta, etc) and stuff like that.
That’s sounds like a great idea, hopefully he sees this
It's all fun and games until Lockheed has an AI that can design a whole plane in five minutes.
Earned a sub, very creative and well explained video. Keep it up man, I'll check out the other content after this one :)
Well done m8, very nice video. I would absolutely watch more content like this!
Beautifully done - The AI seems to have helped you design a tailed YF-12A derivative - the ancestor of the SR-71. There's also a good degree of Bristol 188, and Yak-28 Brewer in it too. A way to increase maneuverability would be to make the rear-fuse 'duck-tail' into an elevator surface.
Or split it vertically into two surfaces for an air-brake like the ADFX series airframe from Ace Combat
ABSOLUTELY underrated. just ABSOLUTELY. underrated. we need more flyout in our lives, please continue, and you definitely deserve way more subs and likes
Love it, please make more like this
I love this video. You made me wish to go back into concept aircraft design seeing how easy it is to build and test one.
I have to check your tutorial videos now
Very impressed at how fast your channel has grown in the past 5 months. Keep it up, loving the videos!👍
Pls pls pls make more of these videos, they're so detailed and very interesting to watch, I'd like to see what other planes chat GPT makes with different parameters
I think more content like this would be great! good work :D
It would be cool to see a sort of building competition between you and some peers/other builders and see which one comes out on top, sort like the YF-22 and YF-23 build-off between the companies back then. We could see how each person interprets ChatGPT’s directions and see which is more capable for certain tasks.
I would like to see this design a near space - hypersonic stealth airplane. 😮
I tried to build an XP-67 in simple planes before and it didn't go well. I feel like the building mechanics in this game would make those smooth curves much easier to make.
With an Interceptor like this, a plane model always needs to have a name.
F-GPT
Sounds like the AI told you what to do. Just subbed. Nice to watch a person talented at a craft do the craft.
Just found your channel and I must say I'm so happy I did it is just the sort of channel I love to watch
Great work and thank you and I look forward to seeing the next video
Very nice video, subbed for hopefully a pt.2 where you try to get something closer to an air superiority fighter
If there is a pt.2 it would be interesting to see more feedback after testing to chatgpt and it's response to cons of the aircraft
Would love to see you ask the AI more requests on aircraft types to build. This was very fun to watch
For some reason RUclips had you in my subscriptions feed even though I wasn't subbed to you. Glad RUclips made a good reccomendation!
Very interesting and original concept. I’d like to see more! You got a new subscriber ❤
could you do it again but with prop plane maby from ww2 era
Should do more of these with different time periods
Amazing video, with clear explaination and everything. Absolutely nailed the subject, thanks you !
Looks like a cool game. My first video i saw from you
but i already subscribed, keep up the hard work and theese good videos
Would love to see an AI’s interpretation of a naval or attack/strike aircraft
This is really cool! Can you try and make a variable geometry wing next? I would love to see what you could come up with.
Great video! I studied aircraft design in university and I like how you explain your design choices. I haven't heard of this game before so I might give it a try.
Anyways I'm off to watch more of your videos:D
yo thats great! can't wait to see more stuff like this in the future, keep it up!
kinda looks like an SR-71
it looks like if you mixed an SR-71, F-14, & F-15 together
Ok, one of the things I would have done different, is the area between the engines at the rear of the plane, I would of also made part of the elevators. Also, I wonder what would happen if you put canards on it. Might help with maneuvering.
Great concept for a video series. Looking forward to more like it 👍
This was such a cool concept, looking forward to see more
this is A+ content i need more
I'm ready to make use of force to one day acquire this game this is insane, and already feels familiar because of the KSP-like functions
loved your video and the buildup and commentary.
This is pretty cool i want to see more of this type of content
This is so cool!, it would be interesting so see if it can make a heavy bomber like a tu16 or a stratofortress as they havent changed much since the 60s!
More of an interceptor than a fighter
Ask them to make a super maneuverable aircraft, I feel like adding some specific requirements for the plane you want them to make will help. Great video and I’m excited to see more! 👍
Ai needs to add pork spending, so the military would be willing to built it.
Would be interesting to see if you tried this again but with GPT-4 rather than GPT-3.
it's not available for the general public yet :[
Amazing video!
This is an awesome concept, I like that you constrain it to time period technology. I bet if you did some more projects like this you could refine the translation from AI to game.
Yt just randomly suggested me this video, and man... I am really impressed, you have got my sub ❤
I would assume ChatGPT was trying to build the RS 71 which made the shape of the wings be a full delta-wing with integrated ailerons and elevators.
This was really interesting. An observation to your point about human interpretation of AI commands/answers- When the AI said to use a delta wing, I assumed it meant like a Eurofighter, SR-71 or Concord style delta, not a tailed delta like a Mig-21. You went the tailed delta route, which is a thing (I had to look it up), but not what I was expecting. I wonder if you changed the design to be a full (tail-less) delta, if that would change the performance drastically. Maybe for the next video!
Remember, delta also means a sharp leading edge, generally with a fuselage shape according to the area rule
This plane has neither of those, and rather has a more conventional leading edge.
if you'd like to know more, millennium 7 has a very informative video on the topic ruclips.net/video/mFAIiWlxqzE/видео.html
bro you're gaining subs before i can even finish a video, good quality stuff
Love the video idea, you're very talented with making jets 👍
Would love to see more videos like this from you in the future :)
Big like from here, keep up the good work!
I am not super knowledgeable about flyout, so pardon me if what I say makes no sense. I think it'd be very interesting to see what kind of result you'd get if you were to ask it to build a military cargo plane.
Name of the game this looks awesome please !
The game is called Flyout, it's still in early development and is nowhere close to complete yet. You can join the discord server for the game in the description for the vid
this was a super cool video, your commentary and work was spot on, cant wait to see some more vids in the future, i wonder what kind of response you’d get if you asked it to design the aircraft with the best possible 1 circle dogfight potential
What the hell? 1k subs? This is 1M+ sub quality, I see your ascension as an youtuber, don't stop. Amazing flyout content, out of words!
What happened to the delta wing?
Wooow
This was interesting! Give this concept 2 or 3 years and come back to it. Would love to see what this thing can design then
by far one of the most interesting videos I've seen in a while
f 15 much?
Love the vid! But I recommend turning the game audio down when you're flying compared to your voice. Tried turning the video up a bit to hear you better but was blasted by jet noises haha.
When I clicked this video, I did not expect such an informative masterpiece. Immediately subbed and liked. Thank you for your brilliant work.
This was so cool! I had never heard of flyout before this video but it looks super powerful and fun as a creative sandbox simulator!!
Very cool video gentleman, the aircraft also had a very expensive design from the 60's, it was very cool. It would be very interesting to see you try to create the ADF X - 01 Morgan from ace combat zero.
That's really neat. If the program can do prop planes, it would be cool to have it try for a ww2 era pusher prop fighter. There were a lot of prototypes but none really went to widespread production iirc
really good and very interesting design pulled up!
With some more reference aircrafts and other minor things i can see the AI giving at the very least very interesting ideas
that was such a good video, really good editing you earned a sub.
really interesting video! It was informative and overall very well done
I absolutely love this video! Next time what if you try and use AI to make a bomber/cargo aircraft?
Awesome video brother, please keep up the great work.
Damn what an underrated channel, loved this video
Solid content, keep going ❤
I've been WAITING FOR A GAME/ SIM LIKE THIS!!
Great video mate!
Its like a jet from an alternate reality where the US made a jet ti fill the exact role of the mig-31
This looks like an f-15 sr-71 hybrid. Pretty cool! 😀
You had the perfect opportunity to call this JetGPT and I am mad that you didn't
I think a good name for this aircraft would be the
“F-55 Vindicator”
Great video! looks a lot like a combination between an F-15 and an SR-71
It looks like someone cut 2 MiG 21s in half and then strapped them to the wings of an F-16 and I'm all here for it lol
it looks like an SR-71, MiG-25, and F-14 combined, good job man
Very interesting video, loved it! The only thing I can say is that your voice over during the flight test was muffled by the in-game sound effects.
Definitely need more videos like this, but it was a little hard to hear you with the engine sounds lol
I think you should go through the different classes of aircraft and use ai to assist like you did here. Seeing a program design attackers, bombers, spy planes, naval fleet defense fighters, etc. would be pretty awesome.
That could be a whole series!
Honestly, CAD automation in general will allow for designs to be done procedurally a lot quicker than via manual touchups. Likewise with testing, it'll be a lot easier to test a variety of scenarios and conditions. Obviously not now, but as AI tools become more powerful and accessible. I'd also like to see how it'd fare with a hypothetical seventh generation fighter, using best guesses as to what composites would work best, which avionics, what the onboard flight computer performance should be, how it'd optimize fuel + gross weight of munitions, etc, etc. Maybe in a year or two these tools will be powerful enough?
interesting idea! would be cool to see you design more aircraft using AI
cool content bro. keep going!
