Hey Jeff, have some good news for you! We sold my personal car, a 2022 Mazda3 Turbo and replaced it with a '23 EV6 GT in Red which we got at an insane price, $20,000 off, so the lease payment is only $177/month. I'm so excited! Here's the family fleet: Me: 2023 EV6 GT Runway Red Parents: 2023 EV6 Limited edition green AWD & Ocean Blue EV9 GT-Line Grandpa: 2023 EV6 Wind w/tech AWD Yacht Blue/White Aunt: 2023 EV6 Wind w/tech AWD Glacier White/White
There is a bump on that roof where the light is that is lower than 31". It is more like 29" to get something in there. Beyond that point, the roof slopes back up to 31". With our dog crates, we can't get anything of them in there that are over 29" high.
Thanks for the video. How does the EV9 fare on the "sheet of plywood" test? I'm wondering if hatch width allows ~49" sheet to sit on top of wheel wells, or if it would need to go in ~diagonally between the wells?
@@TechnicallyJeff Yeah, I realize it would stick out - but that could be accommodated IMO with a bungee between hatch and hatch latch. And some padding.

That's awesome! Congrats!
Nice car, just so expansive.
Expansive or expensive? Lol
@@TechnicallyJeff lmao - both!
@@TechnicallyJeff It was an accurate typo.
Haha it is pretty big, but not too big. And yeah, lots of money but they have big rebates!
You don't state the vertical opening measurements and the diagonal opening measurements. Can you put them in the comments? Thanks!
Vertical is in the description 😀 31". I didn't get a diagonal measurement. Sorry!
@@TechnicallyJeff so that means cargo is big enough for a standard size of appliances such washer or dryer ? lol
Haha if they are laid on their side, maybe?

@@the_red_key8825 that is good to know, thanks a lot!
How is cargo comapres to model y 3rd row. W 3rd row up i can get 1 big and 2 small
3rd row has a lot more room than a Model Y's 3rd row
Ah the EV9 is so good. Do we know if the general improvements will be taken across into the next EV6? And when would that be?
I'm sure some of the improvements will likely come with the EV6 refresh which is due out later this year.

I didn't test that personally BUT a 4x8 sheet of plywood is pretty long at 96". That's about a foot longer than we have behind the 2nd row.

Very true
