- Considerably better than my last run considering two skips were patched that increases the run duration by around 2 minutes. Still a few minutes to shave for sure considering there was 2 deaths and many safety shrines. -- Watch live at / distortion2

I played it for a while but they screwed the game up with stupid nerfs I quit, there is literally no reason to make a build, the system sucks, the rng on gear is terrible, an NOTHING tells you what you stats are. E.g. you get stat up [ insert moon language] however you never know what's best, an wtf would I want to copy youtube build in a game about building characters. Making your own build is the fun of an arpg not relying on others to min/max.

Lmao I'm terrible so this is half the time it took me to beat the first boss
I figured out you could sprint around her and wait for her to do that dumb dive attack thing, then hit her a few times and repeat
This is half of the time I took to defeat the third boss
@Explorer Area51 Honestly the first boss was the one that gave me more trouble than any other boss in this game. It took me 3 days to beat Onryoki. I was about to quit the game completely and just say fuck it but I decided to keep trying anyways and beat him all on my own.
This game truly is a brutal learning process in the beginning.

hey man. i know it is not much time saved but you can page up/down in the invetory by pressing right/left on dpad. and you can press O on the map to go to the starting point. i always see you do it the slow way.

also do you always play with the current patch? considering that they patched two skips as you said it would be faster to just play without the patch wouldnt it? you play offline either way.
It would be faster but I need to buy the disc version of the game. I am also not sure what other runners will be doing, I assume they will just switch to current patch as well. Anyways sub 1:20 on current patch would be a more impressive feat so I'll probably just aim for that.

are the different patch versions generally considered as different speedrun categories? because if you run this perfectly it is slower than a perfect run before this patch. how is this handled with world records then?
Generally different patches don't count as a different run as far as I know unless something major changes in between patches.

They agreed to an all bosses speedrun, but gdq didnt mention that they dont want the 2nd DLC and they didnt want to give him an extra 10mins. Thats why he declined to go there now.

The Tachibana Muneshige fight was the one that brought me confidence in Nioh. I felt comfortable perfect blocking and spacing with the Tonfa .... And this dude steamrolls him with Guns....
Hundred Eyes has a few projective attacks that if you're behind him will just phase right through his body. You can see him setting up for the attack as you run around him, but it's not a great telegraph, since you'd likely assume he'd either launch the attack earlier, or cancel it when you left view.

What buffs do you use before Hino Enma? Too quick to see what you use before hitting the inventory menu, and then again what you talisman you use on weapon!?

Hey dist great run :D. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but at 33:16 you can take that left and break the wall past the tiny staircase, head through the room and to the right is the door to the room before the boss. Possibly 2-3 second time save.

@@satrio303 first talisman increases the power of bare-handed attacks. He is using a kusarigama though so correct me if I'm wrong but that would not apply in this circumstance would it? Thx
Using magic in this game makes it 50x easier imo
God it feels like forever since I played this game I gotta replay this shit at some point. It has a lot of the things I love about dark souls but doesn't feel too much like dark souls

Guess you must be heavy armour build or just not great at seeing her telegraph moves as she was fairly easy for me once i learned the tale signs of what her upcoming attack was
brandon 2504 I beat her eventually. Guess I just had too low defence (low armor, not heavy), because she was killing me in like 3 hits.
She’s a very easy boss she has a pattern all you have to do is learn it

its a kursigami skill trait.. also alot of the exploits hes uses for damage are patched

Bo Hoffman fistfighter and carnage talismans ! They both stack and the damage output is insane especially if you’re wearing gear that adds % to bare handed strikes
