the bass in this is a little high but its cause of the mic placement but you all can feel free and if you copy these settings and make it more accurate than me by switching a few settings feel free to let me know:)
I will take any metal guitar tone suggestions and i will do my best to recreate someones tone with my gear and make a video about it for you guys! And also most importantly leave a like and subscribe for more tone tutorials🤘
@@TKD-c4c no problem man🤘 glad you enjoyed the video and im gonna start making tone tutorials on my channel to try something new. And so far with this first one, im getting alot more attention and comments which i love🤘
@@Lejdo ive been wanting to do a cover of that song for a little while cause its so easy but good. And i recently got a new amp and everything so i might be able to use my new stuff or just what's seen in this video idk yet but i do wanna do a cover of it eventually🤘 and yeah i agree that deathcrush album is the best mayhem album
Apparently, (i precise, i didn't experience by myself in other way that amp sims) but if we trust the website of Equipboard, about Euronymous' guitar tone, he used a Gibson Les Paul into a Marshall JMP from 87 with EL34 and a Marshall1960BX cab, with greenback g12m inside, surprising for metal standard now. He added pretty much distortion with a tubescreamer (Ibanez TS9 perhaps) , Boss HM-2, SD-1 overdrive and a pedal called Arion SMM-1 distortion. Extreme settings for extreme music. Maybe he used a 1mm pick size. I have no idea of what microphone he used and how was the response of his room and what strings he used. And how he was picking (much important than everything, each guitarist make his own sound) But his sound come from the british school. Fender is more close as Darkthrone style for example. I hope all these informations will be useful, it is not a truth, i'm just sharing but it looks coherent
That is some great information thank you man!. Also yeah for Euronymous there is so much that goes to the tone with all the things so even with the right equipment it would still be pretty hard to match the exact tone but there are ways to get close to it
I got that pedal cause its basically a cheaper version on the boss heavy metal pedal and it works good for the "swedish chainsaw tone" and for deathcrush tone if you use that behringer pedal in the clean channel by itself it sounds a bit week but if you were plugged into the behringer pedal and then that plugs into a overdrive pedal it would probably sound pretty close
But to answer your question i dont think using that pedal alone would get close to deathcrush like the metalzone does alone. But the actual tone does use the boss heavy metal pedal for a small part of the tone
Clean or gain channel? What about the amp mids setting? I use a mg15gr as my amp and I'm pretty sure it's classed as a practice amp, so it's not got all the different features most amps do, so im not sure it'll transfer over as well, the gain channel on it also usually sounds like shit. Edit: you also didnt share what pickup positions you were using
I was using the clean channel with the pedal and on the clean channel on my amp there is not a mids knob only bass and treble and volume as well as effects. But on my distortion channel it has all the knobs including mids. And for pickups always use the bridge pickup if that's what you meant by the position
Hey it isnt for everyone and i understand that. Deathcrush was really messy and all that ofc but some people like it because the ep is a part of history
Love the dark and gloomy sky out the window, good vibes.

wasn't his Les Paul a Greco (ibanez brand) copy?
