MAJOR RAGER!!!! Im so fuckin jealous. My dumbass didnt stay updated on dates and i missed Sleep in my hometown Phoenix recently. So pissed. But im gonna see Acid King and Yob. I love Acid King. Dont know much about Yob. But its just not Sleep.. :(
@@mikekoenig6467 Dude you should get this app called Bandsintown. It's very legit for midnight stallions like us who love to rage shows as such. Keeps you updated months ahead of such shows. Even super local shows, I just Phil Anselmo and the illegals play at the viper room which fits like 100 people and then saw Sunn o this last Sunday, all thanks to bandsintown
@@mikekoenig6467 ohhh dude!!! Acid king is a super badass. I'm yet to see them live but they put on a fucking show is what I heard. Going to see Yob on December 1st along with Testament and Triptykon. I have no clue about Yob either. Mainly going to see Triptykon covering all of Celtic Frost and testament playing entire 1st two albums.
@@C0nnie it's Drop B. He discusses it here: dcheavymetal.com/2018/07/12/interview-with-matt-pike-of-sleep-and-high-on-fire/ "I figured out a drop tuning that would keep up with him in B, which means I actually have to tune every other string up a half step and then drop my tuning. It was weird but it’s cool experimenting like that cause we get used to something too long and then we try something different [and] sometimes it works out."
Saw this live yesterday at the Mission Ballroom.... feeling the entire room reverb to that riff was priceless. Cannot get this out of my head since!
U R so very lucky. Sleep only doing 3 shows for the entire year. Got to see them in San Diego in 2019, amazing as always 💚😤🤘
I want this played at my funeral.
Fuckin' A
2:18 Fuck sakes, lower than the Titanic.
Matt Pike is one of a kind, and so is Sleep. Can't get enough. And I haven't smoked weed in about 24 years.
what are you waiting for
be a lot cooler if you did...
I love that wall of orange. This is essentially an Orange ad showing you the flame fuckin tones.
I never thought i would see a live version of this, thank you!
Sean Corrigan thanks man, glad to share the experience!
That fucking Matt Pike Sleep tone!!! So crushing!!!
The Warlords of Sound, Hands down, Sleep....
This the only band where I imagine the PA system in the venue is actually quieter than the band's rig on its own lol
Dammit I love the brilliance of it all... and the significance of the blue and red lighting hasn't been lost.
Wonderful man. Was at this show and man this track had the Wiltern shake it's foundations literally.

I keep trying to find the tempo and timing for this but just can’t seem to get it right. Is it just random? I suck.
Fuck yeah!
is this in drop B or like drop a#? cant tell
Probs b standard, since pike usually plays in c standard
rbtclol it looks like he’s barring the chords
