    I agree with you - Boost falls short and Boveda always seems to be consistent.

      They’ve been solid for me as well. Just needed a break. Getting back into it but a bit less. Working on another project as well now.

    Interesting.
    I wonder what temperature they tune their packs. In theory at a lower temp you would’ve had higher humidity %.
    I think you said 68f... so they are likely tuned for ...65 66...
    I couldn’t find anything on the boveda site stating that.
    I’ve done a ton of research on smoking humidity and been down this road in a different way.
    Really interesting man. Enjoyed it.

      Thanks! That’s a good question. I might try some further testing down the road, as I’m kind of curious myself. Glad you enjoyed it.

    I've always used Boveda. I have 1x 300g packs in each my systema tupperdors which are holding about 75 cigars each and they are still going good 1 year on.

    Your two days late on this review, bought some integra boost to replace boveda 😭 The reason for switching is that they say boveda gives cannabis a bad flavor compared to boveda . Maybe you can try that experiment with cigars.

    • @ComedyCigarsMusic
      @ComedyCigarsMusic  3 года назад +1

      Sorry, bud.😆
      I haven’t noticed a bad flavor with my cigars with either one in my experience.

    • @Bovedainc
      @Bovedainc 3 года назад +3

      Precise humidity control creates a monolayer of moisture around cannabis trichomes. This protects your terpenes from evaporation BUT less evaporation means less 'nose hit' in the air. You'll notice the smell return shortly after grinding your cannabis and the flavor should be unaffected. However, smell and flavor are closely tied together, so I could see why someone may think that. I'd encourage you to do your own tests. Let the Boveda cannabis sit for minute after grinding and you'll get the full smell, flavor and a more consistant experience! (Because more terps will be on the plant, not in the air.)

      Who's "they"? It's just water vapor for both products I don't see how that's possible.

      Anthony Brask It’s been mostly from cannabis reviewers who say boveda imparts a bad smell compared to Integra boost.

    I bought 5 packs of integra boost. No bueno. They didn’t work well at all compared to boveda. 😠

  • @sierrafly8669
    @sierrafly8669 2 года назад +2

    So you took dry sticks, hydrated them with boost and got some water content out of it and into those cigars, and then used Boded to top it off? You have two different starting points. Not scientific.

    • @ComedyCigarsMusic
      @ComedyCigarsMusic  2 года назад

      Not dry sticks. Not a scientist.

    • @sierrafly8669

      @@ComedyCigarsMusic the cigars themself should work as humectants. If they had proper moisture content at the beginning, they would have stabilized RH on their own without a pack at least for some time. So they were likely somewhat on the dry side. Then treated with packs one after the other rather than side by side simultaneously. Did they smell any different before, during or after?

    • @ComedyCigarsMusic
      @ComedyCigarsMusic  2 года назад

      I didn’t smell the cigars, which would probably be more of a subjective analysis.
