My personal motivational statement: "If Nikki Sixx can make it through 1987, you can make it through this day."
1989
Amen to THAT!
@@builderman7979his overdose happened on December 23 1987, motley Crue then spent the next 2 years getting sober before releasing the doctor feelgood album in 1989
There’s so many great songs by this band. “Wild side” “Dr. Feelgood” “girls girls girls” and “Home Sweet Home” just to name a few
Dr feelgood would be perfect for Mr Video
Same Ol' Situation, Shout at the Devil, Smokin' In The Boys Room.
“One time we saw some hook*rs but when we got closer we realized it was Mötley Crüe.”
-James Hetfield - Metallica
🤣🤣🤣
✌️❤️😜💯
🤣🤣🤣
I bet that happened frequently in the 80s.
Dude looks like a lady 😂
"Shout at the Devil", "Looks that Kill" or "Too Young to Fall in Love" are some other great Motley Crew songs.
Oh and LIVEWIRE!!!!
" Looks that Kill" was the first Motley song I ever heard!!! I think I was 19
DR FEEEEEELLLLLL GOOOOOD
Wild Side. Girls Girls Girls. Home Sweet Home
If you weren't in it you don;t know, the 80's were so fun.
The BEST times!!
80’s were the best!!! Wish we could go back to that time!!!!!
So fun 🤘👍
Yes yes yes
@@tinakeith5822
Me too
A shout out to the late comedian Sam Kinison whom you saw in the beginning of the video chauffeuring the guys. We lost him in 1992. Terrific guy, please look up his stand up performances.
Sammy is missed, watch the video for "Wild Thing" by Sam. It has lots of Cameos in it. Fun Vid & Fun Dude!
Love that you shouted out Sam Kinison. I was a child with NO BUSINESS watching his stand up but laughing my behind off at it.
I noticed.. Then they showed car accidents and that's how he died sadly.
Sam was the shiznick... AH.... AH....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
@@cortneyperfume_madness480 yes. He got hit by a little punkass kid who was drunk. So sad.... Sam was a genius...
It’s dope to see people tap in to music they never heard before
That's what brought and KEPT me on this channel. He's always doing genres' or songs he's never heard and its awesome. Especially when he can appreciate "white people music" as his brother would say lol
Right💯❣️😜😁
Exactly
It’s dope to see them tap into the music and love the music!
It really is, especially if you love it already, or it turns you on to new stuff.
Motley crue was my favorite band when I was a teenager...im 50 now . They are LEGENDS !! DO MORE MOTLEY CRUE PLEASE
"Girls, Girls, Girls", you'll like that one!!😂
Yes, this is all about three of my most favorite things.
YESSS
I just posted the same thing..lol
Agreed girls girls girls! And same ol situation! Great views of the fans
Yessss! I said the same! I can see it now- 😳😆
Bassist Nikki Sixx wrote this song after he actually died overdosing from heroin. And he had to get 2 shots of adrenaline straight to his heart to bring him back to life.
You need to check out "Wild Side"
This song is about Nikki Sixx' revival. One day Sixx literally died from a drug od and when paramedics arrived they shot him with Adrenaline as a last ditch effort to save him, so the Adrenaline "kickstarted" his heart, and the birth of this song
Dude thank u, bout damn time someone knew that lol 🤘👍
@@joshlindsey9960 I knew it from Nikki's book!
Two shots
Didn't it take two adrenaline shots?
Ya 2 shots. Think one of the Paramedics was a Crue fan(right?) and he wasn't about to let him die. Lol
In 1989, my mom took me to my first concert which was Billy Joel live at yankee stadium. One week later my step mom not to be outdone took me to see Motley Crue. I was 10 years old,. They started the shoe with Kickstart My Heart. Unforgettable. Thanks for the reaction to it.
The next Crue song you should consider reacting to is the official video for Wildside. When you watch the video pay close attention to drummer Tommy Lee, one of the greatest to ever pack up the sticks.
YOU’VE NEVER LISTENED TO MOTLEY CRÜE?!?! oh boy have *you* found a rabbit hole! “Wild Side”, “Looks That Kill”, “Girls Girls Girls”, “Home Sweet Home”, “Dr. Feel-Good” (A personal favorite of mine), oh yeah, you just stumbled on one of the best rabbit holes ever! You’ll be part of the Crüe in no time! 😂
Edit: you need to check out some of their live shows where Tommy Lee (The drummer) & his whole drum set go up & over the crowd while he’s playing and the whole rig tips upside down while he’s still playing, and he doesn’t miss a single beat during the whole stunt! ❤️
Yes I like Dr.Feelgood to
One of the best bands to watch in concert... definitely won’t be disappointed
The video you are speaking of is Wild Side, My Favorite! along with Home sweet home!
Yeah please listen to more of there songs
WHOA.
Nobody partied like Motley Cruel and NO ONE has matched the fun I had at their concerts! Fucking great times for sure 💥
Song inspired by the bass player overdosing/dying and being brought back to life with adrenaline shot.
*adrenaline shots
And then he walked out of the hospital a few hours later.
Adrenaline's a hell of a drug
Nicky 6
Thanks for information. Didn’t know it. Not my favorite band back then.
Motley Crüe were legit bro!!. They were glam metal / rock band formed by smart individuals. Their songs were made of good lyrics, melody backed by awesome live shows. They almost got drowned by their rockstar lifestyle (watch their doco) like RATT and it’s a miracle how some of the band members are still alive. They had a string of rock and ballad hits in the 80s including smoking in the boys room, dr feel good, girls girls girls, home sweet home, ahoy at the devil, primal scream, you are all I need and If I die tomorrow to name a few
Definitely not glam metal or glam rock. That would be Poison or Twisted Sister.
I know you’ll get a kick out of Girls, Girls, Girls by Mötley Crüe.
Oh yeah. Its a good one.
Yessss! I said the same!
Mr. Video MUST do this one next. The uncensored version, of course!
Much love from Atlanta brother. Love your energy.
On December 23, 1987, Sixx suffered a heroin overdose. He was declared legally dead on the way to the hospital, but the paramedic, who was a Crüe fan, revived Sixx with two shots of adrenaline. His two minutes in death were the inspiration for the song "Kickstart My Heart"
Yeah, they were not instructed to give the second shot. Without it he wasn't bouncing back. Saved his life.
Legends for sure. Biggest band in the world for a decade. Most requested video ever on MTV.
They were the last true rock stars. Chaos, mayhem, booze, drugs, woman, insanity.
Next song, Wild Side or Dr Feelgood. Both bangers. Also, watch the doc about the "The Dirt". You nailed it when you said "legends"
@Brian Hourihan The Dirt was SO GOOD!!!
@@mollyprice1485 Absolutely! It was well done. The band definitely did their part. LEGENDS 😁
@@brianhourihan5613 and the beginning certainly got my attention! lol
@@brianhourihan5613 Now I want to watch it again! Where was it? Netflix? I would call it more of an INCREDIBLY fun, delightfully raunchy biopic than a documentary. I do sooo love me some good raunch! But I also truly adore the lovey dovey stuff too. My favorite song of theirs is Home Sweet Home.
I watched The Dirt with my 16 year old son lol. Awkward mother son moments. But he does love Motley Crüe.
What a great time!! Thank you!! Comedian Sam Kinison was driving them in the Dr. Feelgood truck... his comedy was outrageous. He used to be a preacher... he is gone now... thanks again for taking me back... great times!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite concerts! Ratt & Motley I was 7 months pregnant watched the crowd rush the floor and break the barrier to the stage. It was epic!
You gotta watch a live... Tommy lee has a freaking roller coaster drum set its crazy
Crue made some of the best strip club music ever.
Strip clubs are for absolute losers.
@@manguy2000 I believe that person was stating a fact, as I did, &, I’m a female 😸...regarding their music & the fact that their music is popular as it fits perfectly in that setting. Do you think that this is the place to speak on your feelings on strip clubs? For many women, it’s a way to pay for college, children, medical...state your feelings, which may be valid, to a more political forum....not a reactor’s channel. Make sense? 😉
AC/DC seems to pop up too.

I was actually there at whiskey a gogo! This was beyond packed sweaty hot rock and blow out! I was at least 15 years older than everybody there and felt like I was a 15-year-old girl! Best concert I’ve seen in such a small venue! Their ride was sweet!
Wild side is another one by them worth hearing and they have a movie based on their life, The Dirt on netflix
Amazing movie
It’s a miracle they all still alive and well...
Yes, you should definitely watch "The Dirt".
React to the dirt haha
Dude let me tell ya I've seen them in concert several times , Once even just a couple years ago at there farewell tour ! They still KICK ASS !!
My first concert (7 yrs old) was seeing Motley Crue with my momma! 🤘🏼
Edit: I was watching her more than the band and I remember thinking how lucky I was that she was MY mom 🥺 She was, and still is, a fiery metalhead. I got it honest lol
What a fantastic memory!!!
@@jacqueline4514 Thank you! It’s one of my first memories. Something I’ll never forget 🌻
@@jacqueline4514 Music was something her and I bonded over when I was growing up. It was a “constant” for us. I even have Def Leppard lyrics tattooed on me for her lol music brings people together 🖤🤘🏼
@@misspowers SO glad to hear that; music absolutely bonds people. My son is 28 and he always listened to my music growing up (whether he wanted to or not, lol), and one of the earliest concerts I took him to was Fleetwood Mac; he was about 13 and he appreciates it much more now than he did then; usually has 70's rock on when working on his motorcycle, etc. Music is something that definitely bonds us as well; just last weekend we went to a local record shop together. Def Leppard is another great 80's band; wore the hell out of my Hysteria cassette in the car, lol; what lyrics do you have tattooed? I think that's GREAT! By the way, got him into disco too 😂
I have been waiting for you to here this. Time for a Motley Crue binge. "Home Sweet Home"
Wild Side - Girls, Girls, Girls - Dr. Feelgood - Same ol´ situation - Home sweet home - Take me to the top .......
Boy have u found some rock gold here. This band was killer back in the day. Their first music video hit was Live Wire. Then they followed up with Looks that Kill, Too Young to fall in Love. If u like high energy rock out songs then you'll love those ones as much as u enjoyed this one. Love watching ur reactions brother. Ur freakin hilarious man
If you think Tommy Lee is impressive on drums, you should see him play the horn.
On his boat.
Setting him up for a surprise
Lmaooo 🤣🤣
Pamela was playing the horn.
@@derekbowbrick6233 Looked more like she was playing a woodwind to me, not brass.
That hog steers pretty all right.
Motley Crue members are Vince Neil as singer, Nikki Sixx on the bass, Mick Mars on the guitar and Tommy Lee on the drums. They have been together since the early 1980's and they have many hit songs, platinum albums. If you want to find or about their story, you can watch a movie on Netflix called "The Dirt".
Yes they are legends. They RULED the radio waves in the eighties.
"shout at the devil", "livewire", and "too young to fall in love", are some of their best. They also do great covers of The Beatles' "Helter skelter", and Brownsville Station's "smoking in the boys room"
Just about every Motley Crue song kicks some ass! lol Hope you can find one that shows Tommy Lee doing his spinning drum set performance live or in a video. One of the coolest live drummers out there I'd imagine!
Motley Crue (Girls Girls Girls), or Wildside(Official Music Video). You’ll love the drummer theater
Just something about the 80's rock music, it makes you NEED to get up and MOVE. Which spurred the headbanging. A huge desire to move with high energy music
Early 90’s was also part of it. After 95 it slowly went to more soft pop music.
When those Facebook questions pop up asking "what song do you listen to and turn up while driving on the highway?". Well, this song is the one and only answer.
they have a movie. something for your other channel. Check out 'The Dirt'
We won't steer you wrong on this. Be warned though, Motley Crue are the bad guys in the Rock N Roll scene.
I have never clicked on a video as fast as I did with this one. Motley Crue will always be one of my fav groups. Thank you for reacting to this. I hope you check out the rest of their extensive catalog!
Best thing that could happen after a drug overdose is write a hit song about it
I saw Motley Crue in concert about 7 years ago in my area. What an amazing concert! Tommy Lee was a beast on them drums!!
Correct me if im wrong (as im sure someone will) wasnt this song written in reference to nicky sixx receiving 2 adrenaline hits to the chest after overdosing on heroin?
Yup. That’s what I understand.
Yep, if you ever get the chance I’d highly recommend checking out Sixx’s book “The Heroin Diaries” It’s an amazing read (and a miracle the man is still alive)
Love to see the Sheer Joy while ya enjoyed - we all had the same goofy look when it came out! 🥰 I was 18. BEST summer of my life with this album playing for most of it!! ❤
Say what you want about the Crue but they rock to the bone & never been nothing but themselves ~ Mick Mars may be the most underrated rock guitar player of all time, he's written an ENTIRE catalog of iconic rock riffs
Dude is the best musician in the band and the oldest, yet has never gotten the respect he deserves for his contributions.
Absolutely! He's the driving force, those of us who lived the music know & we appreciate

Can't even count how many times I've seen them live. Just found out via american pickers that my Dr. Feelgood t shirt from the original tour is worth money now as a "vintage" tshirt.🤣🤣... do "Home sweet home". It stayed no.1 on MTV in the 80s for a crazy long time. 😜 and yes, they are legends.
This was my 80's. Kick ass music. Girls, girls, girls. That one you will love.
As a child, I heard "when I get high I get high on speed" and had my first Wtf moment.
When I was a kid Mötley Crüe was my JAM!!! I used to sneak into my sister’s room and play their records before she got home from school. “Dr. Feelgood” and “Girls Girls Girls” are a must.
Been waiting for you to do the Crue for almost a year. You need to do Home Sweet Home too. Fantastic song
Definitely listen to there are two songs that are great hits too young to fall in love and shout at the devil also if you want to know more about them they do have a movie out on Netflix called The dirt and it's about the band's life and it's pretty graphic so just a heads up cuz they were pretty wild guys 👌🏼😊

Check out their song "Without You."
When I was a junior in high school, in '92, a friend and I were on our lunch break, and two guys from our school pulled up in a car and asked us to hang out. I only knew one of them, and not very well, but he had caramel skin and light eyes, so we went, lol! When we got to his house, my friend suggested we listen to music. She had her new Mötley Crüe cassette with her-the same one that has Kickstart My Heart. The boys had never heard of them, but black people didn't typically listen to them then. "Without You" started playing, and the two boys looked at each other, really surprised, and said, "Soul music!" My friend and I just laughed, and then they asked us to dance. It was a good time!
You've opened a big door, Brother, as you see, the requests are pouring in. You can't stop with this one song. You also need to check out their documentary on Netflix, called The Dirt. You need to do reaction to it.

Fun reaction! 😎 “story” Recently my kids said ... Mom Motley Crüe is great! I said Nah, I don’t know or like their songs. Ha... then it was them discreetly playing a song, I said oohh I like that...... after four songs I gave up!!! Apparently I like Motley Crüe! 😊 Lol
A reaction to Hot Tub Time Machine is needed after this!

Motley Lou! Motley Lou!
Way back in1983 an awkward skinny teen had just started Gr.9. The same time a small little band from the LA scene released their 2nd album with a kick ass video called "Looks that Kill" and that transformed this kid into a bonafide Metalhead. almost 40yrs later I still listen to metal(although now it's classified as "Classic Rock" WTF?? ) and either play it loud or REALLY LOUD. Welcome to a very deep rabitt hole Leo. Enjoy the journey.
First!!🤘🏼Haha. This is a bad ass song. The bassist, Nikki Sixx wrote this after he died from a heroin overdose. The EMT revived him with not one but TWO shots of adrenaline straight to the heart. This song is about adrenaline.

Motley Crue is definitely legendary! I had posters of them in my room as a teenager. I see lots of song suggestions in the comments, and agree with all of them...this band's entire playlist is fire🔥Peace✌
Check out wildside by them its great✌❤❤
They most certainly are legends. My first concert was Motley Crue “Girls, Girls, Girls” with Guns N Roses as the opening act. Amazing! Do more.
Not that smart? Smart enough to know legends when you hear a single song from them! I was first intrduced to them in 1983. I was 12. I've seen them 5 times in concert. I had all the shirts, posters and of course the their albums. Still have a shirt from their last tour. I'm so happy to see you finally getting to them. YAAASSSSSSSS!!!! The Crue are legendary 🙌. Dr Feelgood, Home Sweet Home, Girls Girls Girls, Shout At The Devil, Live Wire, same old situation.....🤘
Back in the 80s I was in my 20s, out of school, making money, happy, and rocked out to Motley Crue. In the 90s life set in with marriage and kids and I was into grunge; living in Seattle at the time had a lot to do with it. As time went on I began to resonate with sadness and heartbreak and Metallica. Then discord rose its head and I banged it with Marilyn Manson. Now in my 60s I'm finding a release of anger through Pantera. But I still listen to it all. It is my life put to music.
I love Mötley Crüe!!🤘🤘
