There isn't a guitar player that hasn't tried to imitate Eddie, learn his riffs and if possible aspire to play eruption after practicing and practicing and practicing. There are many good guitar players that can never play Eruption and if they hear somebody else playing it they never fail to be impressed. He has always been a legend. Thanks for doing this and don't feel like you have to act a certain way, just relax and feel the music or don't. Just be you!

Lol. I had the hots for my PE teacher in middle school . I fainted one morning and when I woke up, I was in his arms. All the girls were so jealous. He was the original McDreamy. But, seriously, losing Eddie Van Halen is a shot to the heart. I grew up with Van Halen in the 80’s. My heart sank when I first read a post on Facebook. I had to make sure it was really true. I looked at a few websites. We are losing so many artists this year.it seems.
Their album 1984 (also released in 1984) was definitely a huge success. They had put out several others prior to this one as well. All you had to do was mention or see the symbol VH and everyone knew who you were referring to. I graduated from high school in 1986. So when this album came out I turned 16 and so did many of my friends. That meant "DRIVER'S LICENSE" time. A good friend and I went driving around one time and we were seriously jamming to this song. At the same time we were taking in some powerful refreshments; if you know what I mean. Don't ask me how I can recall that one but the memory sticks out extremely well.
This man was the entire reason I picked up a guitar. I heard Van Halen's first album on a record player long ago, and fell in love with his speed, technique, and probably what most people seem to forget, his TONE. Eddie was always a tone chaser, which is why on many albums his tone sounds different, but still awesome if not improved. Thank you Edward for all that you have given us, so many bands would either not exist or sound completely different if not for you. RIP And also thank Mr. Video for reacting.

Lol. I had the hots for my PE teacher in middle school . I fainted one morning and when I woke up, I was in his arms. All the girls were so jealous. He was the original McDreamy.
But, seriously, losing Eddie Van Halen is a shot to the heart. I grew up with Van Halen in the 80’s. My heart sank when I first read a post on Facebook. I had to make sure it was really true. I looked at a few websites. We are losing so many artists this year.it seems.
Their album 1984 (also released in 1984) was definitely a huge success. They had put out several others prior to this one as well. All you had to do was mention or see the symbol VH and everyone knew who you were referring to. I graduated from high school in 1986. So when this album came out I turned 16 and so did many of my friends. That meant "DRIVER'S LICENSE" time. A good friend and I went driving around one time and we were seriously jamming to this song. At the same time we were taking in some powerful refreshments; if you know what I mean. Don't ask me how I can recall that one but the memory sticks out extremely well.
I was a freshman in college when this album was released and remember watching this video on MTV many times. Astounding talent. RIP Eddie Van Halen.

This man was the entire reason I picked up a guitar. I heard Van Halen's first album on a record player long ago, and fell in love with his speed, technique, and probably what most people seem to forget, his TONE. Eddie was always a tone chaser, which is why on many albums his tone sounds different, but still awesome if not improved.
Thank you Edward for all that you have given us, so many bands would either not exist or sound completely different if not for you. RIP And also thank Mr. Video for reacting.
