Plush TV Jazz-Rock Party is a live video album recording of a PBS In the Spotlight special on Steely Dan, released in 2000. This video focuses on a special concert, recorded live in January 2000 at the Sony Studios in New York City, New York and features tracks from their (at the time) unreleased album Two Against Nature and songs from their past but also contains additional documentary footage. I have removed the documentary footage in between each song in order to have a smooth uninterrupted concert experience.

As a teen metal head in the 80's I took this band for granted. I would not turn it off if it came on the radio but I also didn't seek it out. With age came a realization of just how unique and timeless their music is. Now, I put them in my top 10 bands of all time.
Incorporating rock, jazz pop, post funk, and yacht rock, this Steely Dan gem is a true Rock Party for those of us ever aging and always urgent fans of this great and ever diversified band! I really loved listening around the house while you created this share, babe! As you already know, a few bands get me to dancing in and out of the room while you're @ work on a share and this one's no exception! From Green Earrings to Pretzel Logic, it's logical to me that I should get up and dance for you!~lol! Great share, babe! Keep em' comin'! I so love SD ... and U, my music man!~xox~D~:)
This band had so many influences going on, and yet no one else sounded like them. They are true originals in a sea of other bands that sound the same. I was surprised at how the Dan got you dancing so much! LOL! I can see you really like their music. I love you too, babe, and will do my best to keep the music coming and you dancing! xox ~ Dan

Loved these guys ever since I first heard them as a 15 year old - haha 60 this Summer -I have a very fine collection of the Dan - That gets dusted down and aired regularly !
Crack open nice bottle of Whisky & Venture down those well walked streets of my past once again ! -To the soundtrack of these Guys Steely Dan !

I recently came across a fine bottle of SHACKLETONS Whisky A rare old blend of Highland malt Mackinlays Whisky Based on the spirit supplied to the 1907 British Antarctic Expedition

Hey Fred! Yes, Steely Dan was definitely an awesome group. Their style was a mix of so many influences that it's difficult to categorize their music. It's a shame that they stopped touring during the height of their career as there's so little live footage of them. I think this is a pretty good concert and was glad to be able to get it up on RUclips. I hope you enjoyed the entire show, bro! Stay cool and never stop ROCKING ON!
