That drummer’s playing is effortless. All of this was 🔥
Sean Rickman's playing is insane. His work with Steve Coleman is nothing short of jaw-dropping!
Wayne Shorter played with Jaco. R.I.P . He was a fantastic saxophonist. Well dressed talented and cool.
Herbie and Wayne I mean these cats are legends of Jazz they were part of Miles Davis band back in the days with Ron Carter on bass and Tony Williams on drums, men to see them hanging with Marcus Miller is just something when music was music way back when.🌹💔
Can we just appreciate the fact Herbie just soloed with a bloody human voices keyboard? ABSOLUTE MADLAD
lol yeah!
SirenWave Mtv , Glad a few appreciates, the fun and artistry ,,,rappers have been sampling thou for years,,, with a push of a button/key,,,,,,,but when you can do this and actually play is different to me ,,,,,,that maybe why u don’t hear old rappers still rolling,,u don’t wanna be a one hit wonder,,
Dude..... Herbie blew me away..... n that pocket drummer
Yes, cheesy as hell.
He made future shock, but still the future is not ready for him.
Appreciate Mr. Hancock while he still remains alive along with Mr. Shorter because they are keeping Miles' Legacy alive and bringing the younger generation of musicians to the forefront as well.
LadyofValor as well as keeping us aware of what all happened back when they were all cookin together!
Lady I agree. But honestly, this piece hast no soul. I wonder why those great musicians are playing so suolless. Sry thats my feeling.
Mr Herbie H has a legacy of his own....
conincido con vos son unicos irremplazables saludos de bs as
@@paulmitchell5349 Herbie is a skilled pianist featured on numerous albums, but I would say Wayne Shorter has an even heavier legacy. Many of his beloved compositions are jazz standards today.
Herbie covers it all. Love his innovative style.
What miles Davis track is that ...the one played by the trumpeter?
@@meghbhavsar3968 Jean Pierre
You know you've made it to the top when you can just sampling stuff in the middle of your song, and then make something up, and it still sounds good.
All these guys are legendary and for the 127 that thumbs down, Suck... you do what you do because of these legends. It's not about playing fast and loud and playin all over top of each other. It's about complimenting one another. At any given day these guys can put on a loud fast show that would gaurantee leave you gittering...Respect the trailblazers!!! That is all!!
I wish I had seen this performance before. These gentlemen are doing their thing. I love how chill they are while performing.
They're clearly having a lot of fun
I always get such a kick out of herbie lol what an amazing guy.
Miles is smiling.....As you are smiling. Life is so good....Music is so good
I love Sean Rickman's playing . So sick!
Uncle Herbie was just having hella fun!
All I can say is them dudes were JAMMIN'!!!
Sat n miles leather seat at his brothers house for Thanksgiving. I felt his spirit. I play trumpet too. Wow
Marcus is so good! And his bass sounds amazing
Wow - I loved it when Marcus popped in Rockit! Band!
Oh man, I'm surprised, and not surprised at the same time, of seeing Sean Rickman (drummer) playing with these giants. He's played with Steve Coleman, which alone is impressive. He's one of the best drummers I've seen that's still alive to say the least, mf has a YT channel and everything and I feel like not enough people know him!
herbie is a creative genius, and hears music from anywhere, they all laughing at the voice sounds, like its a joke novelty, but he is deadly serious. Music comes from human voice first of all.
Jazz Liberté, merci from France 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷
Sean Rickman on drums is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
THIS is CHILL!!! , Miles would have loved to be there .......He is in spirit RIP MILES DAVIS

These guys made a lot a fun with a bluesy-funky-grooving gig!!!
Glad I watched this! First time watching Marcus play a fretless bass. Tight band!!
Heroes!! And that drummer, never heard of him, but wow!
Oh my god! It's so cool and funky. I'm sure Miles loves it.
Herbie is AMAZING !
The masterpiece is Miles Davis -Jean Pierre, but in min7:40, they insert Herbie Hancock -Rockit.
PARENTS!!! PLEASE GIVE YOUR CHILD OR ANY CHILD AN INSTRUMENT. THIS IS A REASON WHY!!!
Mo better than drake
At about 0:18 Marcus sneaks in with a little "Teen Town." Such fun watching this trio.

Esto es otro nivel caballero jaja
Yeah.........Miles. Will there ever be another like hum? A monsterous talent /genius. Some of the great music of the 20th century if you ask me. Amazing how underappreciated he is----the stuff from the 70's is in a category all it's own.
no sadly,
Herbie Herbie you stil the best
Meet a thrilling trio on the stage of the Jazz à Vienne festival (2011) : bass king Marcus Miller, saxophone titan Wayne Shorter, and pianist virtuoso Herbie Hancock gather in honor of their fellow jazz legend Miles Davis. Sean Jones and Sean Rickman (a regular of Steve Coleman's ensembles), complete the picture in a program that features the greatest works of the jazz master.
Marcus Miller was a regular of Miles Davis's band all along the eighties, his composing, playing, and producing work on Davis's Tutu album has solidified his space in the pantheon of jazz, while Shorter and Hancock both partnered the illustrious trumpeter during the sixties and seventies, featuring in his first "electric" albums...
