I worked for Sergeant at HPD who saw joe at a bar (Rose and Crown) around this time give or take in Waikiki and he said hello to him while he was at a table with someone and Joe just kind of looked at him and shrugged....He was like "Joe Moore is an asshole"....I was thinking Joe does not need your drunken ass talking to him on a night off...
I knew one woman who had a relationship with him and she said he was arrogant and conceited. A friend knew his ex-wife who he was going to remarry at one point, and this friend told me the wife said Joe had argued with her in a hot tub and had started choking her. I also knew a guy who was one of the camera operators for KHON News and he was not fond of Joe either.
I bought a new 1984 Civic hatchback at Downtown Honda. The commercial I remember the best that used this song showed a line of mechanics walking past the camera holding their tools and moving in time to the music.
