Guns are the great equalizer, we should encourage more women to carry.
But we need restrictions too, some people use it for other malignant intents. Self Defense is necessary but it is achievable without a gun. It's hard to believe that a country that prides itself as being the best in the world is so irresponsible and incompetent when it comes to guns.

I was a farm kid who was taught how to respect and properly use handguns and rifles when I was six years old. Every young person in my area was taught the same. On my 12th birthday, I received a Browning 22 caliber semi-automatic rifle which I used for target practice and hunting with my friends. No one, not one person, I knew was ever negligent with a weapon or was injured in any way. Crime in our area was non-existent. I taught all four of my daughters how to respect and use handguns and rifles when they reached six years old and began taking them to the shooting range with my wife and myself thereafter. We had 4H, Boy Scouts and Girl Scout groups associated with our shooting range that had full shooting safety and shooting proficiency programs for young people starting at six years-old. In the 27 years I was a member of that range, not on young person was ever harmed in any way. Teaching children to respect weapons and use them proficiently prevents accidents and harm from their Improper use…it does not cause it.

That's a poor comparison...A misspelled word is very unlikely to take a person's life (as a matter of consequence of a single mistake made by the writer); whereas one single shooting mistake can cause a tremendous outcome for many peoples' lives...
@@rebeccariedel5070 you can use the same comparison about anything, a hammer doesn't hammer in nails, people do. A book doesn't read itself, a person reads a book. Guns are just objects, they don't create violence, people create it.
@@ObtainThePain I was referring to the outcomes of the different comparisons. The above-mentioned comparisons show that the consequences can differ a lot. It's beyond debate that people are the ones who use the 'objects' and therefore cause the consequences BUT it is a huge different if a person reads a book, writes a poem, uses a hammer OR shoots a gun. The comparison between a hammer, a book, and a gun used as objectives by humans, is simply misleading.
Yeah, it's a very poor comparison.
That Hast to be the best way of explaining it
Obviously people at a gun shop would be on the father's side.
Mentality X that’s what I was thinking I mean if your in a gun shop then you’re probably buying a gun, I think the response might have been different if it had been somewhere else.
Not a Troll Mabye he could have been telling his son that he’ll get him a gun and the kid could have been going around and telling people he’s getting a gun. (Like at toy store or something)
Facts and hell a late
So?
Obviously you are city folk. In many rural areas of the US it is dangerous to wander around without a rifle/pistol. Many youngsters protect their younger siblings from wild animals that will eat those younger siblings. Quite often a single shot rifle is not enough because some of these wild animals run in packs. Get a clue, realize that the only irresponsible people are city folks and city folks who teach their kids that illegal drugs are good. A piece of paper on a wall does not make you smarter; how you apply that intellectually does give you wisdom. Learn!
They were like “Alright you wanna play rough” bring out the big ones!😁😁😁
I love when she says you're the most irresponsible parent on the planet. The most irresponsible parents on the planet would be the ones who don't teach their child about gun safety

Gun safety should be taught in schools.

America: Hands out guns to 8yo.
Also America: Wonders how one probably could prevent mass-shootings at schools...
🤦♂
You have to have a license to get a gun and almost every school shooter has never had training
just like in the gun debate
it’s educated people vs uneducated people
I liked the veterans personality he was like “ hey

I liked it when he said “is that your wife” as a classy way of letting her know that she was out of line and needed to mind her own business.

"Unfortunately, No. You're just on 'What Would You Do?'"
And the Vet answer, "Aww...snap."
"The guns aren't dangerous, the people are"
This is so important
helen Yes, like all the little kids using guns that killed their friends in all the news articles at the start. No one should be able to use a gun before they can drive, and should take both a gun competency test (like a driving test) and a mental health test. I’m all for people owning guns for protection and hunting as long as they can pass those tests.
helen no guns are still pretty dangerous
@@w1lls872 ?? that has nothing to do with my point.
But like the guns are still dangerous like if a gun goes off by accident by like a trigger getting stuck and that bullet hits someone it’s not the fault of anyone it’s the fault of the weapon so therefore the gun is dangerous
Ok but tell me this, why we’re these guns manufactured? What were they made for? What was a rocket launcher made for? Sure guns can be safe but they are and always will be made to kill.
"Why is it a tough weapon for a seven years old?"
"...it's an AK47..."
Something hilariously laconic about that exchange.
Also, not to be that guy, but isn't that an AKM?
The first gun my dad gave me was a 20 gauge pump action shotgun when I turned 10. Of course my dad put me in a gun safety course for kids before he bought it for me. Still have the shotgun today. :)

Feel like this video “backfired” on the producers and actually showed that most gun owners take gun safety very seriously.
I think that was the point, they even pointed out the uzi incident. They tried to show all sides even if it was kinda one sided.
Oscar maybe it did but most are ok with that. I hope their logic wasn't hoping that people in a gun store would go along with the Karen's logic. Most legal gun owners are smart and law abiding citizens. Not that the media wants anyone to think that 😂
I thought the same thing but the woman was aggressive in the situation and they kept all the positive gun ownership messages. However you said producers with out a doubt they wanted to spin this as as guns are bad
Until you get to the guy who says he doesn't even keep his guns locked up despite there being a bunch of kids in the house. That's how kids end up dead. Doesn't matter how much you "teach" a kid, kids make bad decisions.
@@motleyminded85 I understand where your coming from, but all the same when I was little mu dad kept his old 22 in a zipped up rifle bag in a locked room I knew where it was but it wasn’t easy to access even if I had wanted too I knew it was better to know where it was and not touch it than betray his trust as well as possibly hurt my self , I feel it’s all how you raise your kids but again we all have the right to our own opinion- just to be clear I feel kids should know where the gun is in case of “emergencies” but they should never have easy access to the fire arm it should not just be left on the table with a loaded magazine 🤷♂️
o7 to Jeremy but him asking "did i just win a million dollars?" had me rolling
I am a kid who shoots in competitions, hunts, and other things with guns. It’s not the guns that kill; it’s the ones holding the guns.
