Bill Cipher VS Discord is a god tier episode. It completely shattered the ceiling for how good a DB episode can be, and is definitely my favourite.
Also, I believe Scooby and Courage were fighting to try and get each other to deal with the monster.

So, funny thing is, in Courage lore, there IS an object very similar to the chest of demons. I don’t remember the specifics because it’s been years, but in one episode, the monster is a cursed box with a demon inside of it that will pull you in. Now that was just ONE demon as opposed to the Chest of Demons which drags into the 10th circle of Hell to suffer torment forever, but I figured it was worth mentioning.
I remember that one. Forget the episodes name, but courage digs up some random looking box and Eustace says it’s where his brother hid his money. It had some sort of demon that tried trapping both Eustace and Muriel. Eustace alone ends up trapped in at episodes ends. Though they never showed the actual demon throughout the episode(only its hands).

28:16 there are two really good things about this battle besides the obvious:
One is the really good “terror time” remix that plays during the fight
And second, I absolutely love the Asura’s wrath, joke, that I’m surprised not very many people who reacted to this fight got, or at least commented on.

In your defense, Nux, that song is very memorable and its actually one of the best in the Scooby Doo movie series. The Hex Girls songs are also up there
as far as I'm aware there have only been a couple ties in the history of Death Battle. They mentioned Segata Sanshiro vs Chuck Norris at the end of this one, then we got Dead Pool vs Pinkie Pie, and I will insist that Guy vs All Might was absolutely a draw as well, so now we have 4 draws unless I'm forgetting some.
Willy vs Eggman was also a draw, since Metal Sonic went berserker and killed both
You can't just call All Might Vs Might Guy a draw, yeah they both died in the animation, but animation =/= how the fight would go (See: Aquaman Vs Spongebob for the biggest example).
Might Guy was the winner, and seeing as they mentioned he wouldn't even need Gate of Death to do so, he stays that way.
The asura's wrath giant finger reference combined with courage's screaming was the coldest moment in this season

They have done ties before. As they mentioned in the analysis Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro tied, but there's 2 other battles (both all the way back in season 1) that have had ties
I love Death Battle, like I still love Epic Rap Battles, but they're both perfectly capable of putting out flops and cheats.
I'd say the most unfair matches were
Jenner V Hulk and SpongeBob V Aquaman.
Spongbob vs Aquaman was sooo one sided its crazy. Like, he didnt have anything to his name to scrach him

Spongebob vs Aquaman was a joke matchup. They make it abundantly clear that Aquaman didn't stand a chance multiple times in the episode. It was just an excuse to talk about Spongebob and show some respect to the Superfriends version of Aquaman.
Besides, Death Battle isn't just about settling debates. It's about crossovers. Even if the result is obvious or wrong, it's still nice to see characters and their powers interact, and it's cool to see two likable hosts discuss their stories.
An unfair match doesn't automatically makes an episode a flop.
That was a good impression of Scooby's laugh.

Slapstick and toon physics are PART of the Courage universe-- EVERYTHING runs on it, Courage is just the average denizen in a physical sense-- if he's Superman, he'd be home on Crypton (yes I understand the issue with that, fuck off.).
Scooby and Shaggy however are almost the ONLY ones in their universe to operate on toon physics (ignoring the Pup series). They ARE truly powerful in their world. We've SEEN a rare few others in various other canons of the series, if we're starting with Where Are You, and even a couple TINY examples IN it, such as the barking baby chick in one episode-- but those other examples are RARE and usually SMALL.
As a Massive Death Battle fan (who doesn’t mind your react content to DB), here are some recommendations of Death Battles you have not seen yet. My personal favorites that I think you would like

Death Battle Rule #1: All reasoning used to understand the powers of a character must be grounded within the canon of the piece of fiction. Meta-reasoning or meta-explanations of powers are permissible, only when those meta elements are outlined specifically within the fiction itself (like Higurashi.)
Death Battle Rule #2: If you watched it happen on screen (and it wasn't a depiction of a dream, memory or someone's imagination,) it's canon.
Courage the Cowardly Dog is like, something Edgar Allen Poe, Tim Burton, H.P. Lovecaft would think up in a writing room together. And that room was in the Twilight Zone. John Dilworth really crated a wild, weird world out in the middle of Nowhere. A place we all know, but have somehow never been. Just west of weird, south of sane, east of east, and north of normal.
Yeah, both shaped my childhood, I don't think any other cartoon did more, maaaybe Tom and Jerry? Looney Tunes also up there, Dexter's Lab, so many good cartoons from childhood, but Scooby and Courage easily top of the charts. Jeepers its the Creeper was one of my favorite episodes too. Definitely Zombie Island one of the best, not just Scooby movies, but movies in general, TERROR TIME AGAIN, I can sing the entire song and The Ghost is Here.

The only battle that comes to mind that has an actually fair and established power scaling would be Carolina vs The Meta, since they're both from the same series, just never fought each other.

Ya know nux... I've always wondered about the species thing, cuz its defined on ability to procreate. If two animals can have offspring, and those offspring are still able to make the next generation, then they are the same species... but not all dogs can do that, while others can, and there is cross over... so are they all one species? Are they all different species? Or do we need to change the definition?
I like how you said their toon force edge makes them invincible which is literally just what Gear 5 Luffy is.
I love how he didn't even mention the ultimate battle music occurring in the background. Just two funny looking dogs battling to music equating a sonic boss battle.
Even though this fight already revealed the outcome, I still think you should do the Chuck Norris vs. Segata Sanshiro fight just to see how they equal each other.
If i think about it, nux is hear teaching about life with his opinions, i learned a lot about not giving a shit from you, so appreciate that, and i just wanna say that i mostly agree with the things you say.
Fun fact Nux, this is actually Death Battle’s FOURTH tie.
First it was Koopa vs Goomba tied, because they were both losers, and then Chuck Noris and Segata Sanshiro tied due to both being equally op.
But both of those battles happened YEARS ago.
More recently Deadpool and Pinkie pie also kinda had a draw, but really it was only because their fourth wall breaking shenanigans let them kinda just leave the fight.
Thor vs Vegeta for the salt. 😏
But overall, Chosen Undead vs Dragonborn and Darkseid vs Thanos are my personal favorites, which I'd love to see a reaction to.

The great Norris Sanshiro Singularity of 2015 was the last DB with a draw before Scooby and Courage. I think it's a good watch and pretty funny, I recommend that you watch that one next.

I kinda thought the ending would be "scripted" differently....
I expected the Draw. Don't get me wrong. Well. I too Lean Courage but, Expected draw.
Because I would have thought with "Scooby modifying the show" and "gone to commercial"
That Scoob would have rewrote the goal of the death battle to be beating Eustace. Like. When Scooby's catapulting to the ground - cut to commercial or technical difficulties or something and then have the two of them on the ground hugging and chuckling.
Then Eustace pops out and says the lin... well no says something like "Stupid dog, you're supposed to lose OOOGA BOOGA BOOGAAA" and they both scream, run towards either side of the chest, and then like the ending was, They trap Eustace.
Then the KO flashes up and They question it and not following it up with Even Stats of invincibility.
But rather go over a bunch of "disbeliefs" until they read the script saying that the goal of the death battle was to beat Eustace, Not each other.
Then Death battle surrenders in defeat as they were wrong to pit these two against each other and that they need to be careful that They weren't next to be trapped in the chest, and then they could say it was a draw / The dogs were both the winner.
TBH this is a battle that would never happen, both are cowards and avoid fights if they can. Since neither would initiate it they would need someone stronger than both of them to force them into it, in which case they would team up against the third party. But, the bit about Nowhere being a natural weirdness magnet made me think of Gravity Falls... I wonder if they could be the same location?
I feel like they had to do a tie... what monster would have a literal dog fight to the death, they would probably get a lot of flack for that lol. Though yeah, it's cartoons duking it out, they have tied... twice in the past, Segata bs Chuck Norris... and Deadpool vs whatever its name is from My Little Pony (the blue one?). I will say I did prewatch lol, but I believe you Nux and that you didn't.
Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro was a "tie". Only because both are too badass to be killed by the other, but I digress. Probably. I don't really know what that word means
In All my Years of Requesting which Characters I wanted to see in a Death Battle, Never in a Billion Lifetimes would I put Scooby-Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog One and Even Before and After this was Announced I question myself who would Win because it also hit me that both of these Cartoon Cowardly Dogs are Broken in Power Level and Cartoon Logic, it’s like putting SpongeBob and Bugs Bunnt in a Death Battle and will never End except for a Draw, anyway this was a Really Good Death Battle and knowing this ended in a Draw it Makes Sense also seeing Eustace Suffering in a Torture Box for Eternity as I have been waiting for Year to see, I’m with Boomstick Animal Haters makes me feel Sick.

Shaggy's rich inventor uncle developed the Scooby Snacks to do that stuff, but then went into hiding because the villain of the show wanted those snacks for himself to make himself immortal. Since his uncle disappeared, Shaggy inherited his uncle's estate and fortune, becoming a billionaire. That show rarely has to do with mysteries, just Shaggy & Scooby goofing around and fighting against the villain. Also, those Scooby Snack power-ups are only temporary, ending when Scooby digests them, signaled by a burp.
Let’s remember this is a fight against two slap stick characters who are on the side of good. That is basically a stalemate with toonforce going both ways
