      That one scene where Fred uses a book to talk in Spanish was translated in Latin Spanish and it looks so bad because all the characters speak spanish, so Fred trying to talk in spanish in the dub while he can speak like that normally is very funny

      It's been reported across the US, Puerto Rico, and Central America for decades.
      The first "confirmed capture" of it was in Mexico, it's been determined to be mange-infected wild dogs. Since then the number of sighting are near zero.

      The closer "Mexican bigfoot" is probably the Sisimito from Honduran and Guatemalan folklore.

      the association with Mexico is because we now think the creature was wild dogs infected with mange

      Personally i tend to forget accents when typing in spanish because its easier so like, i could assume maybe theyre used to people doing that. Plus to my knowledge theres no word like manana in spanish so probably his brain automatically clicked to whatever was the closest to make sense with the spelling

      It reminds me of when I saw my home town in an episode of a crime show. We have a somewhat high population, but it's mostly college students in the dorms. Farther from campus it's a lot of suburbs and parks. Lots of people ride bikes and it has a vaguely hippy vibe, but when I saw it on TV it was like a seedy overcrowded inner city place.

    "Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico" is one of my all time favorite of the 7 direct-to-video WNSD spin-off films! It was very interesting seeing the Scooby gang chase after a Cryptid even though it turned out to be another fake like always.

    To be fair it was kinda nice for once to see at least one of them actually say something about the movie and how they enjoyed it at the end aside all the jokes.
    I am aware that the channel is more about the jokes than an actual commentary/reaction (at least that's how the channel feels like to me) but it was definitely nice to hear how he enjoyed the movie for once since they never actually say a lot if they liked something or not.

    This was the first Scooby doo movie I ever saw. I’m Mexican and I didn’t mind much of it, it was fun. It wasn’t until later that I realized that chupacabra is either a reptilian creature or a canine creature, that eats goats. Not a gorilla creature. I however do not celebrate dia de los muertoes, I don’t know why all Mexican content must have the holiday

    You know, considering the villains are two white people who don't know anything about Spanish culture, you could ague that that's the reason the Chuppacabbra looks more like bigfoot than what it's supposed to be. They probably thought the monster looked like bigfoot without doing any research.

    I remember this movie being praised in Mexican news outlets.
    No idea how it's held up since.
    Sidenote: youse need to watch Witch's Ghost as well, it's the first appearance of the much beloved Hex Girls.
    And is on par with Zombie Island for its inclusion of actual supernatural elements instead of just guys in masks.

    This was my starting era for Scooby-Doo, the WNSD era. To this day I still love a lot of those films, Aloha, Loch Ness Monster, Where's My Mummy, Pirate's Ahoy, even Goblin King. I even have the dubious honor of having a signed copy of the comic book adaptation of Goblin King.

    iv seen all scooby doo content besides "velma" or "shaggy and scooby get a clue" (i couldnt get into get a clue at all) and velma for obvious reasons, i love all the straight to dvd movies
    iv watched the cyber chase probably at least 15+ times and would get yelled at for renting it from blockbuster
