Those teams aren’t loyal to any player. So why are players expected to be loyal to the teams.
Get the money when and where you can because as soon as the players bodies start slipping so does a team’s loyalty.

I enjoyed Belle immensely on the field and he is still one of my favorite Indian players, but the whole story includes the fact that the clubhouse did not like him. Everyone kept a distance from him because he was so down right mean. But I wish he had stayed in Cleveland as well, along with other greats that could have retired there and were traded.

He AVERAGED 38 Homeruns and 120 RBI with a .295 batting average for 8 YEARS. A bad hip forced him to retire at 34. Or he would have hit 500 plus Homeruns and batted almost .300. There’s a crazy stat he accomplished I can’t remember exactly but it was something along those lines of most seasons in a row of 30 plus Homeruns and 100 plus RBI it was Albert, Jimmy foxx , Babe Ruth, and Lou Gehrig.
