Happy Sunday and happy Mother’s Day to all the mama’s past, present and future today xo ❤ - thank you for watching!! Let me know if you’re going to be doing a little wardrobe switchover this season 💐
I’ve been watching you three girls for a few years, I retired at 55 and turning 60 next month and you’ve help me declutter to my happy place with my 3 words being Relaxed/Classic/Casual ❤
Also! If you put your clothes away for the season, they seem so much fresher and like more of a change when you pull them back out vs if you look at them all year.
Great video, as always! Regarding the red tibi sweater… your hesitation to write it off tells me you really like it. And today’s “janky” is tomorrow’s “cool and stylish”. I think you should really play with it, wear it backwards, wear it unbuttoned as a blouse and tucked into a v-neck, tie it as a scarf, etc. the color is gorgeous. And omg your arms and shoulders! Would love to see a video where you talk about your workout schedule and routine.
Living in the South, I'd say 80% of my wardrobe is 12 monthers. Because of that, I don't really do a switch out. I need to do a seasonal clean out to dust, reassess and build my alterations pile. Thanks for the reminder.
This was the perfect inspo for my winter closet switch-up. Honestly, I hate doing it, 😭 but just like you, I have a small closet! But you motivated me lol. The cleaning before the start is the best part for me!
I would love a future video of you styling your denim jacket, once you pull it out for the season. I just added a very similar jacket to my wardrobe, and I would love to see how you style one and what outfits you would come up with!
I started my switchover last weekend, getting out my summer things and going through my winter closet to cull what I haven’t been wearing. I took a huge bag to the donation centre, much of which was stuff I had bought over the years for my “aspirational self”. Hand washing my wool sweaters was the next step, and I’m almost ready to store my winter wardrobe. I’ve learned a lot from your videos, especially about recognizing the difference between what I like and what I really wear, so thanks, and keep it coming.
great video! i think seasonal dressing is amazing for a few reasons; it lets you miss those other pieces, gives you more space, and reminds you of time passing in a sentimental way when the next season comes along again. thanks christina!
Great video. Today I tried the Wrong Shoe method… by accident. I had a blue linen shift dress for church, I took my silver ballet flats to change into, but drove there in fairly heavy walking trainers. I forgot to change 😂 But although this was just too bizarre for me, it made me realise that lighter trainers would work with this dress for casual situations.
@Christinamychas LOL. I just go with what I think flows. I also eat lunch at home so of an outfit is bothering me I can restyle it before heading back to work. I am a cool winter, so definitely wear a lot of black.
I never tried it myself so I don't know if it’s comfortable. Perhaps you can turn the round neck of your red Tibi cardigan into a V-neck by opening a few buttons and folding the top parts inwards. And maybe stick the folded part to the inside of the cardigan with fashion tape? The red looks good on you!
😊Watched 2×s back to back. Enjoyed seeing a snapshot of your closet organization, your decision to include quarterly cleaning routines w/this regular wardrobe maintenance step, & learning more details about your ideas behind seasonal rotation 🔄. 📦Storage logistics can be the catalyst to getting us to think more creatively. Coming up w/an easy plan is important too. Having a plan is no use to us if we don't actually use it. 😉Also love how you bring & build on the style analysis from previous history into the present. It reinforces those lessons in a helpful & meaningful way. 🤓Find that I am more motivated to wear certain colors in specific seasons. While black & gray are year round colors. I prefer brown, burgandy, yellow, & orange in 🍁Autumn. Although burgandy works w/navy as does olive green in ❄️Winter. Patriotic red, white, & blue in 🏖Summer between 🇺🇸Memorial & Labor Day is uplifting. Lights (like pastel pink, lavender, & powder blue) & Brights (like purple & hot pink) are perfection in 🌷Spring. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Ooooh I don't wanna redo my closet today... But now I have to cos you did. Rude to motivate me like that lol I'm being facetious. My mom thinks I'm funny. Xo
"Kurt Cobain V-neck"--YES!!! Always glad to hear a good Nirvana reference, even in a clothing video. Your video has inspired me to finally finish my closet changeover today. I'm lucky in that I have a wide closet, but it's one with what I jokingly call "alcoves" because the doors don't open the full width of it. Those make great places for me to store my off season items so that the current season is at my fingertips.
I'd be interested in your closet organization tools. Like that cart thing? Or the baskets that go in it? And didn't you have some slide-y, pull-out things in another video that you kept jeans in or something?
Hi Christina love your channel! Suggestion regarding your red cardigan: I find a crew neck cardigan works best with a lower scoop or square neck top underneath to balance out the look. So maybe try that and or different cardigan with a v-neckline instead ❤
Wow, I thought I misheard when you said "we live in a pretty small apartment with 600 square foot". That equals to 180 m2. Here in Germany 90 m2 is considered a huge apartment for two people ;-)
Hi Christina: I’m interested in how you organize what’s in your closet. I organize by type of garment for items that have not been styled together. I went through all my clothes and styled them and hang it together but sometimes it makes me forget which pants I have. Should I deconstruct all my styled items and just hang separates jeans/ sweaters are folded so those I can see readily. Just curious how you do it.
I love your red cardigan but that's my favourite clothing item. I have patterned tops to go under them. Maybe what feels off to you is all the colour blocking of solid on solid on solid.
as a girly w jacked arms, i dont like to wear a crewneck button down cardigan w something high neck under it. i wear it buttoned up as a sweater but with the top buttons open, or wear it over a scoopneck to balance out the narrow neck and with sleeves rolled up (always!)
firs time i've been so early! it's been getting cold here in australia so i suppose i can watch this video again in 6 months 😅😅😅 love your vids as always!
Personally I didn't like the red cardigan styled with the brown. Or the black so much. I usually style red with grey, white or even stripes (thinking Parisian style). Have you tried styling it with a band tee with some red in the design? Graphic tee, jeans (or denim skirt) and a red cardigan. The more worn or washed out the tee and denim are the better IMO. Then the bright red contrasts beautifully.
Just wondering if you have a video on styling button down shirts? I recently thrifted some men’s and they are so long that I can’t decide whether to shorten them to make them easier to tuck in. Thanks.
I have strong shoulders and started leaning into them. I don’t need shoulder pads bc I have shoulders lol. I need to do this closet swap out also, have been putting it off in lieu of other spring cleaning around the casa
When you were talking about your skirt being too long, I remembered something: last year at this time I was wearing a lot of longish skirts to work, and the most annoying thing is when you get home at night and are climbing the stairs to your apt--and the skirt is so long that you keep stepping on the front of it while climbing the stairs and tripping...UGH. And if you're carrying groceries up the stairs, that makes the experience ten times worse.
It's really hard to tell via a video but the red sweater might lean too warm for you even though it's clear, that could be part of the issue with it. I love wearing red and I had a clear red long sleeve that I wore but it never resonated with me and I felt like it should. After accidentally comparing it to other reds in my closet, I realized it was an orangey red or leaned too much in that direction. It's hard to tell because who knows how the color is rendering but maybe just one of the things to double check on the sweater.
I think that the cardigan appears (at least on camera) to be a warm tomato red which seems to clash with your cooler coloring. That might be why it appears a bit off. 🤔
Here in the UK it seems that Spring doesn't exist any more! It goes from rainy and cold to sweltering heat in a matter of a week. Every year I get so excited about my Spring wardrobe and then don't get to wear it. Definitely a first world problem but still ....
🌷Spring has always been my favorite season〰️esp. when it's 🌞sunny, bright blue skies💙, & temps ranging between🌡50s-high 70s. 😊Even better when we experience May Gray & June Gloom 🌫 until noon🕛 or later🕑. That way we can 💪work outside doing annual wildfire brush clearance🌾 in the yard w/o cooking😰. Plus, when it's cooler the lizards🦎 & snakes🐍 stay in hibernation. Even the mosquitoes🦟 hold off on biting. Besides, it's NOT so bad when it jumps to 80° when it cools off drastically by evening. 😘We've been spoiled by the rain🌧 & abundance of wildflowers🌼 the last few years. It's brought a beautiful bounty of 🐝bees & ladybugs🐞 too. 🤫All this to say that I do understand you current frustration😖 w/Mother Nature. 🔄We've cycled through times where we regularly experienced triple digit heatwaves🥵 & roasted alive year round. 😎 Although I learned it's almost worth the agony of a week in the low 100s toward 🇺🇸Memorial Day holiday weekend at month's end. Being surprised early on by that extreme experience makes it seem far less wretched when the 80s-90s come to stay 24/7. 😁Gotta be joyful & thankful about any temperature relief at night👍. 📰 Don't believe all the dire doomsday predictions about the climate. The traditional ⚘️Spring of your dreams will return one day soon. 🙏🏾Have faith! 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

The blue of that COS sweater - WOW. Suits you to perfection. This video motivated me to start prepping for the heat!
It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?

Christina I am loving your contents so so so so much you are my truly truly inspiration and I wish you have a fabulous weekend🥹🥹♥️♥️
I love the cool red sweater on you for a change. I think it brings out your hair color and eyes.
obsessed with your fitness journey, I used to come to your channel for fashion inspo and now you're also giving me massive workout motivation 😂😂 💙
Yay! lmk if you want to see more fitness content haha
Oh wow… seeing cool colours on you is a game changer 😊🥰🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🫶✨

My favorite part of this video was when you opened the drawer with your toes 😂 Thanks for showing us your closet! Your style is super fun.
That red cardigan is a beautiful color on you and I think it will be a useful piece!
The red sweater looks great against black and your skin tone. Dont overthink it! Maybe add a pop of white with athletic shoes with it
Thank you! Sometimes with black or white I feel a bit too “emo” 😂 can you tell I came of age in the mid 2000s? Def gonna keep playing around with it!

😂😂 “but my mom thinks I’m cool” - Milhouse ❤️
Im so exited. I just finished uploading my own RUclips video when I saw yours comming online! Hype❤🎉!
My closet is tiny, I also store cold weather clothes somewhere else. I also get hair bunnies 🤣 you’re so real for this video 😘
That blue sweater looks great close to your face. I would love to see you style it more.
Cannot wait for you to style the brown silky pants!

Yes I have a bin for under the bed!
More in depth closet tour and organise please! 🙌
Hi the red sweater looks warm toned on the video.
Your arms are looking great! All that hard work shows. From a fellow weightlifter. ❤❤
Hi Christina love your channel! Suggestion regarding your red cardigan: I find a crew neck cardigan works best with a lower scoop or square neck top underneath to balance out the look. So maybe try that and or different cardigan with a v-neckline instead ❤
My Mother’s Day task….so many layering pieces but time to pack away the woolies. Packed with care and cedar.
Wow, I thought I misheard when you said "we live in a pretty small apartment with 600 square foot". That equals to 180 m2. Here in Germany 90 m2 is considered a huge apartment for two people ;-)
I've just put this into a couple of online calculators and 600sq ft is about 55 square metres!
lol that’s quite a bit for Canada.. For one bedroom you’re lucky if you get 500+ for 1 bed

The “love to buy, hate to wear” really spoke to me 😂😂😂
I so recognize myself in lookinc around snd finding that I have a lot of green😅😇
This video is soooo helpful!!!!! Thank you 😊😊😊😊
I did my switch over in mid march, even though I live in u.k, ever the optimist😆
I loved the video!
Working right now on this!
My challenge is the weather in London 😱😱😱 for sure I’m going to leave some winter clothes on hand 😂
Look at her arms...I'm jealous, love it. And love the video content.
Fab content & really interesting outfit combos
Heard you on CBC “Cost of Living”. Way to go. 🎉
Oooh, which episode? Would love to listen to the segment!

Where did you get the drawer system ? Did it come with the baskets ?
Where is the metal drawer (wire dresser) in your closet from?
I live in England. All of my winter clothes are 12 mo'er. 😂😢
