to anyone wondering how to place pictures on console, place the cursor on the picture in the inventory then hold the square button (ps4/ps5) or hold the X button (xbox)

For xbox players: hold the picture down with X and drag it out of the inventory onto where you want it and press A when you have it where you want.

To take a photo is a similar process but in order to drag the photo from your inventory to the wall is a bit different on xbox. You have to highlight the picture in your inventory and then press X or B (Not really sure but I think it's the X button) on your controller and drag it on the wall. Hope this helps!
