What was this, 20 years ago? Those Old-New Beetles are absolutely ancient these days, they're from like the mid to late 1990s. He was about 35 here.... he looks his 55 years now (pretty old in itself really) in my opinion, not 75. Clarkson is the one who really looks old. They're pretty much the same age but he looks a decade older.
Jeremy hasn't aged that well but he's still doing great as a 57 year old guy

Every time I see the price of gas in Europe my heart skips a beat in shock... I'm in Canada and gas (on my way home this evening) was 105.3 cents per litre (CAD). That means 10 litres = $10.53, about £6.30.
But there's a price to pay for everything: most of the price difference is due to different taxation fees. Whatever we don't pay in taxes on gas sales is money our government doesn't have to fix up roads and we end up with crappy, un-maintained, pothole-filled roads. The U.S somewhat fixed that issue with toll roads; they have cheap gas and good roads, but they aren't free.
£14 for 10 liters here in Iceland, and it has actually gone down fast in the last few years.

We saw Jeremy and Hammond's friendship from day 1 of Top Gear. It was just sort of supposed to be there already. With James, we all saw how their chemistry clicked and a fun (and annoying) friendship blossomed.

I've had a Kelisa for over a year now in the UK and honestly it's a great little car. People who see it think it's quirky, it's good on fuel (60mpg I can get), tax is ok, insurance is cheap and it's got character. Also idk why it says 0-60 in 14.8 secs, I've done it in 9.5. Top speed is around 95 which is good enough, and it accelerates well because its very light (760kg), can't think of a better cheap & light car even in 2018, it cost me £200 and no mechanical faults on an 11 year old car, very impressive :)
With how awesome grand tour is now, I bet BBC is muttering in the corner, asking themselves "Where did we go wrong"?

For those going on about the price of petrol in this video it is worth noting the actual price adjusted for inflation. I’m not sure when that video was filmed but let’s say it’s 2002 that 84p is now 135p, that actually makes fuel cheaper today than in this video. My last recorded fill up a few weeks ago was 128p, my local Sainsbury’s is 124p currently.
