4:25 Hammond opening the door so hard that it put a dent in mays Alfa got me dead😂😂😂
Lmao took me off guard
i laughed so hard at this
This doesn’t seem that long ago, but nobody would pick those cars up for a grand or deliberately deny them now, in 2024.
Indeed. More like £15k at least. However I'm guessing they didn't actually spend a grand on that spider, even back then. Top gear could be economical with the truth sometimes!@@ragereset2795
I howled with laughter the first time I seen that clip, I've been hunting for it ever since! Ah, glad to have a good laugh again
Bobby Day casually dropping the highest quality TG compilation in years >>>>
Tell me why I totally just read that wrong I was like a TG compilation I was like this isn't a transgender film it's all about awesomest cars
Niks V?
Yeah ok we get it
Nope, theirs another guy who upscaled the Africa special to 4k and colour graded it and it looks amazing
@@kirannicolebuckhannon1492 bruh
21:34 "Manual? Semi-Automatic- Oh these are the weapons"
I lost it at that bit😂😂
One of the best lines May ever said
My favourite Mr Slow joke😂😂😂😂
21:30 "Right. Right... Manual? Semi-Automatic? Oh these are the weapons." 🤣 That line has consistently made me laugh since that episode was released.
I was thinking about that "challenge" when I sat in the new Mk8 Golf a while back and was thinking "turn on the radio"...
I couldn't manage it.
And I am interested in cars (obviously, who else would look at a Top Gear compilation)... and I am a software developer, so technically I know my stuff.
If a person with these interests cannot operate a effin' radio in a modern car, the usability is SHIT. And that's a Golf, for effs sake...
And I love how James immediately starts laughing at his own joke there. He's so proud of himself
can anyone tell what episode is that?
@@txzk26 Series 15, Episode 3
Same.
"I may surprise you... I probably won't though" is a great line lol
Clarksons reasoning for buying a Volvo for a teenager was exactly what my dad said to me when I got a Volvo 340 as my 1st car!
Years later when this episode of TG was on, my dad took great pride in agreeing with Jeremy on this matter
How hard did you hit the tree and did the car protect you?
@@Kragnar1 The tree came off a lot worse than my Volvo!!

9:23 "It's STONE. effect"
That always cracks me up 🤣
18:04 for some reason the way James said “you can’t plow at 41 mph” made me laugh quite hard
Just imagine Jeremy plowing on his farm at 41 mph. The dirt would fly higher than the shrapnel when they blew up his house.
Same, it's something you do not expect to hear while watching television
Which episode has the tractors in it?
@d.neilmccullough6779 looking for the answer to that question too...mostly because i want to rewatch the stig getting tossed off the seat of the fasttrac on the track
This show's iconic set pieces are what I love most. There's something so familiar about every episode but new and hilarious without fail. They bottled lightning with this show and even the trio couldn't quite recreate it later. Magnificent time of TV
Yup, the grand tour was okay but it wasn’t quite the same
@@Yabuddy53if only the whole production team went along. The cinematography was exquisite and couldn’t be replicated sadly.
@@Yabuddy53They couldn’t recreate it because the BBC legally prevented them from recreating it. They legitimately couldn’t do or even SAY many of the things they did on Top Gear. The BBC tied one hand behind their back.
“It’s an optional extra!”
“It’s an option that’s been selected.”
Love that line so much haha

It's one of their very first challenges.
Jeremy’s analogies, similes, and metaphors are just second to none… “it’s like turning up to do the grand national… on a cow” 😂😂
I can't understand what Clarkson says sometimes, because I speak English, not Rubbish.
@@DLGaming2002- Rubbish is more enjoyable to listen to.
@@MilkydrummerMaybe, but it would be nice if they at least put subtitles on.
Well its TopGear so they dont. Actually there is subtitles idiot@DLGaming2002

@@dunnerS650Series 11, Episode 3
17:30 idk why I love it so much when James went "That's a bloody tank you idiot" 😂
Please keep it up, I've watched every Top Gear compilation in RUclips multiple times. Every episode 5 times.
Love this show and will never stop
17:28 "That's a bloody tank, you idiot!" May was right, Hammond totally overdid it 😂😂😂
it was because Hammond was tired of being small and made himself big, lol
@@ritchiehunt1904😂😂😂
09:35 "Please tell me this is not real?"
"Yes it is. Yes it is. Entirely!"
This show taught me about the luxuries about owning a disposable car. No maintenance, no cleaning, no problem parking anywhere. My family owns nice cars for special occasions. But we daily crap box beaters. Completely carefree car ownership.
yup! pretty much every mechanic I work with has a beater and then the car they love to drive but don't want to rely on to get to work everyday. It's really nice to have a car you know is gonna start 99% of the time.
Broke mentality
@@ml3846 Quite the opposite. If you enjoy having money, you'll find not spending it all to be very important.
I own and drive beaters, but I do take care of them (the mechanicals at least). Most recent car I bought cost me $500, and with a few repairs and very basic maintenance it’s been a reliable daily for the better part of a decade.
@@ml3846 I’ve been told I have “poverty brain” 😂
The thing is, a Volvo, especially an older model, would be any 17 year old’s dream car in Sweden. It’s the definition of a Swedish youth car.
I'm from sweden and I had a 740 turbo atraktor when i was 17. It was amazing. RWD in the winter was loads of fun.
@@fnnpc746 I’m also from Sweden but I never had the chance to drive an A-tractor (I’m 21), but I bought my first car when I was 19 and it was a Volvo S40, then I had a Rover 75, a VW Passat, a Volvo V70 ’98, a Honda Civic, a Audi A3, a SAAB 9-5 and I’m currently driving a V70 ’06. I’m also proud because all cars I’ve owned had automatic gearboxes, and we all know that RWD and manual gearbox is the best when drifting but I have FWD and automatic. And I’ve had least problems with the Volvos, and it would be nice to have a 740 some day.
@@piston_slap591 last summer when I drifted with my S40 on a parking lot, I accidently crashed into a street sign that was cast in some concrete form. I was OK, the car got a minor dent in the driver’s door but nothing serious and still perfectly driveable, while the concrete ”thing” cracked in half. And it was big too.
@@msmediaab that´s 8 cars in 2 years!? what did you do to those poor things
Good cars and cool cars don’t necessarily 100% overlap. My first vehicle was a hand-me-down minivan. Not the coolest, but it did everything. Hauled friends around, went on fun road trips, towed boats, carried go-karts, served as a camper, delivered pizzas and phone books when I needed to make money, and so on. It was a great vehicle.
i cant tell you how much joy i feel whenever i hear "our meeting point was fleet services on the M3"
“I may surprise you… I bet you I don’t though” pretty much my life motto.
16:15 ...considering Clarksons Farm, it's pretty funny to see how clueless they are about farm machinery. 😂
haha and this was back when clarkson had bought the farm too so he’s been having it for a min 😂
Irony is he probably is still half clueless😂
Watching this series with these three talk about cars has been the best therapeutic experience i have ever got. To this day, i keep listening to the banter these three made whenever i feel low. It brings me smile and keeps me sane....and not exaggerating...alive!
The door blast just never, ever got old.
5:05 "you could drive this through an american movie!" is one of my favorite Clarksonisms of all time. I still don't know what it means but it cracks me up every time.
In old movies, before they had camera rigs you could fit on a moving car, they used to film scenes with the actors in a stationary car and the background would be rear-projected. But since the steering wheel wasn't actually doing anything, most actors had really exaggerated motions - the rear projection would show a gentle turn but the actor would be hauling on the wheel like they're in Tokyo Drift. Jeremy's saying his car's steering is so loose, he has to really haul on it to get it to do a normal turn.
@@JamaicanCastle I thought that it was more so that you would see the projection in the back of the car that they were apparently just driving down a straight road, but the driver would be turning the steering wheel left and right, like they felt they needed to do that to emphasize that they were driving.
Hammond’s steering has so much of a dead zone that you could actually drive down a straight road moving your steering wheel like the actors did without turning.
great compilation! couldn't stop watching part 1 through 3 from beginning to end. thanks!
The Teenager challenge is one of my favorite episodes of top gear of all time
*activates loud bass song*
Watching Top Gear clips always brightens my day :)
The caravan episode is quite possibly the best piece of television i have ever seen
The first bit went on to having the guys trying to impress the girls by doing J-Turns. The dead pan looks of disinterest from the girls was so subtle and so funny.
Hammond slamming his Spider’s door into May’s car almost made me die, I cringed so hard.
it hurt my soul despite it being an ugly car
James face after Jeremy says about getting sexually excited killed me 😂
Thanks for this 3 part series! I actually went on to rewatch every single one of these episodes and they're just the best. I love me a good ol TG car challenge.
"Manual? Semi Automatic? Oh, these are the weapons." I so want to use this joke someday.
You're a hell of a fella with gifts like this for Us. Thanks Mate, happy Christmas.
6:55 legendary moment right here

I still want a Hyundai S coupe
I always laugh at how they pronounce it S Coupé whereas where I am everyone pronounces it like the word scoop.
Hammond's reaction at 9:11
6:55 HE'S BOUGHT A ROVER!!! Never gets old 😂
Clarkson 'What is that' 😂 I love these 3 together man gonna miss old top gear.
I love the boy racer type insurance challenge especially when there in the office getting quotes and Stigg is in the background trying to photocopy his head
9:07 - thing already looks like it weighs a couple tons, and then he shows us his _collection of rocks and sand_ 🤣
also: shoutout to James' exceedingly practical motorhome.
And the fourth wall-breaking look to the camera by Hammond 😂😂😂
James spending 300 quid on a sterio for his bang'in tunes, is so James May
Then playing classical music is the icing on the cake 😅
I live in a rural area, and last year I went to the big local show, where they have all the new tractors and stuff. They had the John Deere equivalent of the thing that Hammond bought, and it was f*cking gigantic! I almost got a nosebleed getting up to the cab!
That black Quattroporte still looks cool
The noise is biblical as well
25:18 "God, that's a stuperb thing!" I use that phrase more then I'd care to admit
Ahhhh, all the classics in one videoooo yasss!!!❤
In the hot hatch episode, Richard should have turned up in a 207 GTi to complete the french hot hatch trio.
PLEASE KEEP DOING THESE I FCKIN LOVE THEM
Imagine… a taxed and tested Volvo 760GLE for under 100£. One can dream…
This is one of the greatest compilations for sure❤
seeing the "100 quid car" challenge again made me sad at how expensive crappy cars have gotten.
like all three of those would probably go for at least 1200 pounds around now.
8:51 Underrated burn right there. 😆
"i may surprise you......... I bet you i don't though"
I love that line 😂
James: "I _may_ surprise you. I bet you I don't, though."
That was a golden line. For real. Two jokes in one.
Love Hammond putting the massive door ding in Mays car as soon as he gets out of his car🤪!
1:15 so it's S-Coupe? I've been calling it the Scoupe for years!
I would have liked to have been the first to arrive because as you would imagine, I’ve done everything properly
These are still so good! Cheers pal!
Dangerous drinking game: watch a season of top gear and take a drink everytime Jeremy brings a volvo
These are great, keep it up! :]
"What is that!?" That had me howling.
The homemade camper van episode is the best 😂😂
4:07 never thought I’d see a clip from top gear I haven’t laughed at yet
*BIRD DIRT*
He's bought a rover !!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was great when they would admire each other's cars. The golden age of motoring TV by far
YEEESSS BABY keep em coming
I wonder if Richard could find the Spider and fix it up at the smallest cog?
It was years ago, that Spider is beyond repair
14:51 the way Jeremy pronounces “juvenile” here making fun of James is SO funny
14:25 Jeremy sarcastic wow 😂😂😂
Dang it Bobby you've done it again 👏
6:23 cracked rearlight unit, that's a MOT failure right there
i can still laugh with these three, after seeing it 100x times already.
BBC drop the Ball with Top Gear by firing Clarkson and letting May and Hammond walk away
Coulda just replaced the producer end of series.or buy him out but nup

6:55 HE'S BOUGHT A ROVER!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Always a favourite for me.
My dad used to own one in the late 90s.
My favourite programme ever in my childhood.
Favourite program as fully grown adult... 😂😂
Anyone else feel sad when he purposely dented the door? @4:26
Yeah I forgot about that. Just reminded me of the pain
i've been looking for the BMW 325 meetup for ages
I love how they ridicule James' motorhome when in fact I think it's quite brilliant, it fits on any sports car, you got a roof, you got a place to sit with the roof up and it looks quite cool. Definitely brilliant!
Re-watching all these taught me one thing ........ Hammond picked the best each time
"Manual? Semi Automatic? Oh, these're the weapons."
I always thought that was in the M5 or M6.
James May quote at 5:48 "I may surprise you. I bet you I don't though"......brilliant, vintage May
I think the alpha 75 actually looks alright
its hard to find a bad looking Alfa honestly
The wheels are shocking tho
I am, to this day, convinced that if Hammond had actually just put a small sheet metal cabin on the back of his Landrover, that would actually have had the potential to be a decent motor home. But of course, that wasn't the point of that segment.
"It`s like turning up to do the grand national, on a cow" XD
These compilations make me cry. Old TG was more beautiful than my wedding.
He's bought a Rover! Still my absolute favourite
"I may surprise you.... I bet you I don't, though" fucking love James May
the grand designs music on the citroen house tour is unreal 😭😭
"You could drive this through an American movie."
7:33 The same journey today with train costs around 400£ 😭😭😭
Always loved the bit at 8:58 where they play the Grand Designs theme music 😆
5:17 "Back in 1743 Alfa Romeo was an indeed a successful racing team" 😭
There’s a lot of Clarkson’s Farm foreshadowing in that tractor segment. Glad Jezza didn’t learn anything in the intervening 15 years 😂
Peak TG. The best trio of all time!
17:03 the fact that the dodge viper's v10 is still larger than that tractor's
clarkson's modernist motorhome truly was superior, i would consider caravaning in it.
I love how Hammond bangs his door against Mays car lol
"You could drive this through an American movie." Holy hell, that gave me a laugh.
15:13 “ I mean just a headline sum up the cars, magnificent, ridiculous, its a bit boring” 😂😂😂😂😂
